What do you all think of this?

What do you all think of this?

Interesting idea for a show but felt a bit unsorted and it wasnt clear what direction the show was going. The interviews were interesting.

Loved it. I'm really into the FBI but haven't found many shows that don't disappoint, this shot right to the top of my list.

It'll suck you right in.
I look forward to season 2.

Yeah I'm on episode 7 and it is interesting but it does seem to just be going from episode to episode without any overarching plot

Netflix has no fucking handle on subtlety, everything in this show was so obvious and stupid that I can't believe people on this board enjoy it, it's on the same level of quality as current House of Cards.

>wait a minute.... you're telling me... that criminals aren't BORN, they're... MADE... by their environment? holy fucking shit my neurons won't stop firing!

Interviews were cool but if you enjoy this show you might just be stupid.

it was fucking dogshit, fincher has lost his magic

>random person says something really obvious about psychology to Holden that every average person has always known forever
>Holden, the renowned FBI hostage negotiator, stands there mouth agape like he just learned the meaning of life

"T-T-THESE DUMB MID-WESTERN CHRISTIANS WILL NEVER BE ON YOUR LEVEL OF INTELLECT YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME"

I felt it was a solid crime drama until the last 3 episodes.

the show is set in the 70s

I think it's incredibly obvious that Holden is played by a gay man and I hate his soft effeminate performance for a what's supposed to be a twisted character.

Love Bill and the writing's good imo.

They are, all those snippets of the BTK killer in Kansas, that'll be season 2, season 1 is setup for that with some investigations into some killers to start the team out and develop Holden's slow corruption.

It's set in a time and locale where those things weren't immediately obvious. maybe in academia but not by the executive. peep the difference between the psychologists and how they are depicted in the show and the everyday detective in small-town america at that time

I really like the road school and interview parts. The women, the kid, and the bosses in the show are a drag.

I enjoyed the show, and Groff is a cute

I get that, but the extent of it is kind of extreme in this show.
>Holden never actually considered that someone having a bad, abusive, impovershed childhood could then drive them to crime later on. Also the law enforcement in the show was strawmanned pretty hard.
Also, why watch a show all about criminal psychology if we're only going to be hearing concepts that would only be interesting to people in the 70s? At least don't focus the show around it.

What kind of scumbag throws an ant-infested can of tuna on the floor of a communal laundry room and just leaves it laying there?

Dykes. They revel in the stench of rotten tuna

It comes off like a documentary done in the style of a television show

>I want your badge
>and your other badge!
>you’re on your last leg Ford!

>>Why are you so tense?

can't speak to the historic accuracy of the show but clearly they are trying to show the very beginnings of criminal psychology and behavior science. that is why it feels so archaic and outdated, check the scene where he has to go get words like "pussy" removed from the prohibited words list of the FBI school

and the why is sort of a dumb complaint, the show is a period piece and exploring concepts not yet commonly known would come off as anachronistic. you don't watch mad men and complain at them scoffing at the idea of advertising on TV in the earlier seasons do you?

She couldnt even tell it smelled because of how much her dike pusy stinks,

...

He’s a fag I googled for a gif of one of the sex scenes for a previous thread and clicked one and in fact it was him getting a bj from a fucking man,

RIPE
CUNTS

Really good
The last episode interrogatory was amazing

That’s not even the conclusion that mind hunter irl comes to.

Yeah but the way it's delivered is as if it's supposed to be a jaw dropping revelation to the viewer.

>he's a fag
Yeah no shit.
I want to fagmount him

kino, brainlets on Sup Forums will say otherwise

he had a pretty graphic sex scene in Boss, the tv show

for whatever reason I think it's disappointing that he's gay

So, that whole B story line with her feeding the pussy/cat was some kind of sexual symbolism? If that's not the case than it served no purpose that I can think of.

He's just so handsome. I wish he'd sing me to sleep

HOW DARE YOU TRY TO STOP ME FROM TOUCHING YOUR KIDS' FEET

Sometime we need to have a whole thread just discussing this episode and its implications.

Not saying it's the conclusion it comes to, just that it's stupid that such an obvious concept (that was widely believed before the 70s desu) could blow the mind of a trained FBI hostage negotiator.

This. In Mad Men stuff like that is mostly just mentioned, in this there's long, drawn out monologues that are then followed up by an in depth discussion about them.

Anyway, show was shit but I guess I shouldn't have really expected better from a Netflix show.

The book was much better. Went into it expecting John fucking Douglas not the most unlikable protagonist in eons. Total wet fish. His partner is cool however.
Some shots are kino but all of Netflix feels cheap and badly colour graded, period aesthetic on a budget looks garbage. Also sick to death of toocoolforyou girlfriends

BTK read all his books and really looked forward to meeting him,

Girlfriend was the worst character.

In the book the teacher wasn’t tickling their feet,

i was legit mad and unconfortable in the dark room scene, you just knew she was going to cheat

Tell,me about it I wanted Kemper to go ISIS on her and spin her dismembered head around on his big bear cock for Holden to see.

*blocks your investigation*

At least the guy wasn’t a nigger, I’d have stopped watching if that was the case.

i'm not even a racist but yeah me too

Are you people unironically angered by seeing black people on screen?

I think I missed something, because they were back together again the very next episode with no repercussions only for her to "dump" him.

He did nothing wrong.

When it’s done to annoy me yes,

I think they got a few documentary directors to do the episodes because "they aren't afraid of dialogue and can make it interesting"

no, in fact I unironically thought they should have picked the black guy as the new recruit

Time has passed, he wanted to try again, didn't work.

desu i was sure they would pick him

Why? None of the mind hunter team were non white in the book.

You act like that means anything in todays day and age

...

Why are Fincher's fermale characters so bland and stoic

Pretty shit. Poor acting from Groff, bad writing, boring.

Stop being such a sensitive little bitch
