It's just quiet and slow, the symbolism it's transparent

What are your thoughts on Solaris?

both

Tark's best. fite me faggoids

I've seen this, nostalgia, andrei rublev and mirror and this was probably my least favorite. The things I love about Tarkovsy are his dialogue and his eye for composition and I feel like in this one neither were anything great, but it's still a pretty good movie. Mirror is probably my favorite movie and I need to rewatch soon, pic related scene is absolute kino

No, I agree. For me it was a gateway to the rest of his filmography. Almost two years later it still powerfully resonates with me, whereas some of his other work, whilst being admirable, didn't give me the gut punch that Solaris packed on my first viewing.

let's just get this out of the way....

1. Solaris
2. Andrei Rublev
3. Mirror
4. Nostalghia
5. Stalker
6. The Sacrifice
7. The Steamroller and the Violin
8. Ivan's Childhood

Andrei Rublev is better than Solaris.

>dialogue

I watched it on DXM and had no idea what was happening

you know what I mean sperg

Who was best slav?

Stalker, Prafessyar, or other guy?

>DXM
enjoy your shitty disassociation and rapid brain damage

Anyone here seen the Cold Summer of 53?

Read Roadside Picnic and finish all 3 STALKER games usually once a year but i still haven't got around to watching this yet.

The rain sequence at the end is one of the best scenes ever filmed

>What are your thoughts on Solaris?

amazing

Like all socialist “art”, it’s pretentious and soulless.

His other films may have more "heart" but the cinematography in Stalker is the best of anything he's ever done. You could take any random frame and hang it up on a wall.
This, though the river scene with the Revelation monologue is a close second imo

How old are you?

>but the cinematography in Stalker is the best of anything he's ever done.
Not a chance, Offret exists.

>dour Russian guys larping and throwing rocks at the air in a forest: the movie

I see nothing wrong with this, that's Russia to a T. Add dash cam videos and squatting and that's everything.
