Anyone else ever dipped into LoliRock? The name put me off but it's... actually not terrible. Transformation scenes/music is dope.

I watched it because of the name.

Then I was disappointed that it had non of what makes up the first half of the name.

Glad you're enjoying it OP. It's a bit episodic but it's relatively comfy, fun show.

It’s legitimately the best magical girl show the west has ever produced with an absolutely dope villain.

It was a good show. It did non-Japanese magical girls pretty competently and didn't fall into too many cliched traps.
It will be missed. Unless somebody actually wants to talk about it.

Haven't watched season 2 yet, but I enjoy it.

It was anticipated for a lot longer. Lots of materials and hints from the staff as it developed. LR was pretty quiet before the leaks/premiere.

The reception was messed up by delays so sadly that robbed them of confident investors. Also been told France doesn't seem to be too huge on most merch, outside of books and some figures.

TSpies was a fucking juggernaut. I can't see LR ever touching that francise's numbers (sadly) but I have hopes with Netflix possibly drawing interest for toys.

Some of the designs are fine and the music is occasionally decent pop, but there's not much else to it. This show is like watching someone trying to explain Sailor Moon from memory, based on the dubbed version they only saw once 20 years ago.
