>Get's raped
Shit
I still remember when they raped the GET's
Mason Williams
Athena, as the goddess of wisdom, knew Medusa asked for it.
Gabriel Flores
>>Persians portrayed as the villains Fucking pokemon !
Jaxon James
>Get's portrayed as the bad guy for the next 2000 or so years. I think the issue with this is that she kept killing people.
Jack White
I think you mean... these!
Owen Gonzalez
I wish you would get banned for calling out dubs and missing.
Jonathan Murphy
I wish I could get banned too. I REALLY need to work on my thesis!!
Camden White
Start posting porn and calling the mods faggots. That'll get you banned.
Owen Rodriguez
I don't have any porn.
In my experience, though, the best way to get banned from Sup Forums is to just respond to any and every post with lehappymerchant.jpg and go 'yesss, good goyim!" over and over.
Jose Gomez
>Zeus keep getting portrayed as hero This is what makes me lose my shit
Bentley Bailey

No, user. Those were the jews. Those ancient arabic-turkish-ottoman jews.

Faust is difficult to work with I imagine. She quit the project

The greek pantheon was basically just sithrak, except for the dead AND the living
if you caught any of the gods' attention for any reason your entire existence and legacy was pretty much cursed and raped

>Lauren makes magic horse show >leaves >Lauren tries to work on Medusa >whole thing crashes and burns >Magic horse show still going strong without her, with a movie releasing later this year >In Greek myth, the mighty Pegasus(the og magic horse) was born from Medusa's corpse
Andrew Walker
I heard "rape" was a mistranslation of "elope" or adultery in this context.
Jayden Martinez
>Tries to keep to herself so that she doesn't hurt anyone, by living in a cave far away from any city >Some random fucker goes there and gets turned to stone by accident >Other people figure out that ¨the missing guy was turned to stone at a cave, and sets out to kill the monster that did it to him >Rinse and repeat while her reputation just grows worse with each statue
Life must have fucking hated Medusa.
Brandon Garcia

Jackson Morales
It's short for "Pontiusavid Pilateberg"
Daniel Brooks
Is she really that difficult to work with?
Levi White
I assume she's pretty much fed up with executive meddling at this point. Then again, she IS a feminist.
Ryder Bell
>Perseus chops off her head and uses it as a weapon.
You know, the irony of this whole situation is that if Perseus had just told Medusa that he was planning to fuck with Poseidon she probably would have helped him willingly.
Then he would have had a wicked-ass archer that can turn people to stone on command working for him, instead of a rotting severed head in a bag that can only be used a few times.
Austin Bennett
If you created a pop cultural juggernaut like the Small Horse Monsters reboot, wouldn't the success and horror left in its wake go to your head too?
Camden Cook
I dunno man, maybe she just wants to create things she's gonna enjoy and things that match her views.
I mean, she created that DC superheroine cartoon, it didn't last much, then a bit later they release another where the girls look more marketable.
It's hard to tell, maybe she was trying to tell a story without romance with Medusa, and the suits tried to shove some into it because "it would sell better"? The same kind of stuff Sup Forums might bitch about as well.
Of course, that's just speculation. Directors' "artistic visions" don't make for a good movie, necessarily.
Justin Bailey
He washed his hands of the whole affair. Pontius Pilate did nothing wrong.
Cooper Reyes
Medusa is my waifu.
Jace Cox
I remember the show Hercules in the 90s. The opening had a quote "The greek gods were petty and cruel, and they plagued mankind with suffering." This is surprisingly accurate. The greek gods were kind of dicks.
Justin Perez
Pilate didn't want to kill Jesus user
Eli Gutierrez
Yeah but no bitching winged mount. Also it both helps him avoid the issues of 1. having a party member who could kill him if he accidentally looks in the wrong part 2. making his whole quest pointless when he realizes that snake girls are superior to black girls.
Eli Green
Thanks to this thread, I finally remembered enough details to track down the source of a scene that absolutely terrified me when I was a young kid.
>We'll never get a movie about a QT Medusa It hurts

She calls herself that, yeah. I don't know if she's seen who else uses that term too, though.
Cameron Russell
Yea Sony clearly doesn't like nice things.
Eli Morales
Who's this generic anime slut?
Brandon Bell
Rider is best girl with the best doujinshis.
Hudson Garcia
She actually questioned the feminazis' bitchfit when that scientist wore a shirt full of hot comic book chicks on tv. She didn't defend him, though, and her reaction to comic book girls wearing cleavage seemed pretty "feminist" by then.
Also, she tried to shill that crappy Ghostbusters remake, because, regardless if you dislike remakes, "more female representation in action movies" etc etc.
So, yeah. She has more common sense than a lot of them, but she seems to be a bit more into it than it's healthy.
Kayden Harris
Some visual novel version of Medusa who sleep-rapes the MC and alley-rapes his tomboy friend who later allies with him to save his love interest from destroying the world.
Also she doesn't turn into snake-related things till the next sequel where she almost massacred Medea./
Lincoln Rodriguez
>arabic-turkish-ottoman jews >arabic-turkish-ottoman >turkish-ottoman jews >turkish >ottoman >0AD Dude... I can't even imagine how could your understanding of history get so fucked up.

Adrian Moore
>Showing any Greek god as a nice person
They were all fucking nut jobs. They weren't worshiped because they were nice, but because they were powerful. Even their "heroes" are usually psychotic people. Ulysses murders a baby boy during the siege on Troy simply because they killed his father, Hector and he could one day grow up to get revenge.
Joseph Jones
one of the few movies that highlighted that she was a bitchin archer, alot of the rest of the movie was mediocre and forgettable tho
David Sanders
Not him, but i actually can when i get back from work. Did my dissertation on various representations of Medusa, which includes 2 versions of the myth. In one she is raped, in the other she willingly bangs poseidon and is cursed for polluting athena's remple (as she was a priestess). Some people have even argued that athena's curse wasn't actually a curse, but a protective measure for a traumatised rape victim.
Jason Thompson
Imagine.
Jason White
oooh, make sure you do, gonna get cultured af up in here
Henry Robinson
Sure. Just gotta keep the thread alive for a few hours
Carter Brown
That sounds like your standard Avengers female hero storyline to me.
Hudson Flores
As long as we're doing animoo, what do you think of soul eater Medusa. No snake hair Basically makes a magic "child called it" Constantly barefoot After defeated takes the body of a small girl
Anyone know what the premise was goin to be? (as in, what deviations would it take from the original story)
Joseph Allen
I want to rape fuck that snake.
Samuel Brooks
Rude, Gorgons are for tender loving Has Cholk done anything with the Greek stuff? I fell off relatively early but from glancing in it seems like all the Mythology stuff is ignored even though he's allegedly still running a company that should still be full of Greek shit. Also did they explain where his sister was?
Benjamin Rivera
>Athene turns Medusa into a horrible monster for getting raped in her temple. calling for her and getting rape in the Temple. Basically if she didn't go seeking help from her she wouldn't have been cursed
Julian Watson
Haven''t looked much into it, but yeah, apparently they had a kid now!
What about Hades? Folks here usually bring up he was alright, depending on the version of the story. >Troy simply because they killed his father, Hector I thought Eneas had escaped with Hector's family.
Patrician taste, but all of that comes AFTER invading their territories.
Probably a whole lot. I wonder if Athena would be painted in a bad light, to begin with. ...Wait, didn't she ALSO send Perseus for Medusa's head? Or was it someone else?
Brayden Collins
Pic related is a "What if her curse was supposed to be a gift that protected her"
Jayden Lopez
King Polydectes of Seriphus was the one who sent him to kill Medusa. Though Athena was one of the gods who helped him to do it, she gave him the mirrored shield. Honestly the worst part is that after Perseus held on to the head for a while he gave it to Athena, who mounted it on her fucking shield.
Samuel Thomas
Right, back from work. Time to cite this shit
Enterline, 2000 (p. 82) argues that Medusa potentially a protective talisman for raped women. "...the fact that Medusa’s metamorphosis originated in rape may explain why her ghastly os is wielded only against men”. (See also Kraemer, 1992 (p. 29) for more on Medusa as a protective figure for women).
Aston, 2011 (p. 261) suggests that the ritual of Medusa as a protective figure predates the myth we associate with her. (the gorgon's head appearing on charms etc. well before the myth appears. See in particular the gorgoneion on warriors' shields). Myth following ritual gives the possibility that multiple versions of the myth can be given equal weighting.
In Hesiod's Theogony (dating from c. 700 BC), the encounter between Medusa and Poseidon is framed as consensual (Theogony II.275-77). In constrast, Ovid's Metamorphoses (8 AD) clearly depicts it as a rape (Meta. IV. 796-806). Though Ovid's version is of a much later date, it is only an example I have used, and forcibly fucked Medusa is an old concept.
What's really interesting is the shift from hideous/intimidating Medusas, the old style, to the 'beautiful Medusas' that become more common as time went on. It is also v. likely that Medusa was an imported figure into Greek society, which could explain some of the contradictions concerning her story, and the considerable development of her character and appearance that we can trace. The first time she's referred to as a beautiful figure in a literary source is from the 5th century BC (Pythian Ode 12), but by then visual forms had already softened.
I could genuinely go all day on this, so I'll stop here. I hope it helps!
Brayden Gomez
dumb idea stuff >gorgon's hair snakes reflect their mood/feelings and they can't control that >snakes are coldblooded and will seek warmth, so her "hair" will do the same if given the chance
