The 'reshoots' thing gave too much credence to the meme detractors. It's fashionable to shit on DC/Snyder on Facebook and Reddit to accrue easy upvotes. Had they followed Snyder's vision, full steam ahead, at least it would have shown confidence. Instead, the 'reshoots,' bringing Whedon on to lighten it up, etc, validated the narrative of their struggling, and being in disarray. It was chum to the sickly sharks circling in social media. The film then sort of lost its lustre as it seemed like it was less a creative vision, and more of a test marketed compromise.
