I think it has some cool visuals, but the original is kind of a masterpiece - or at least has good ideas and concepts. The only legit bad story in Heavy Metal was the coke snorting aliens.

Heavy Metal 2000 is like one extended bad story segment.

It was cool when I was in middle school, especially watching it late at night when my parents went to sleep.

Cabbie, B17, and Taarna are the best stories in the original but this goes for a singular narrative instead of interconnected through plot device switching hands which doesn't even try to be unintentionally good like the cocaine aliens.
