What novels do you want to see turned into movies?

What novels do you want to see turned into movies?

Bram Stoker's "Jewel of Seven Stars"

>I wish _________ was a mooby

The Forever War

Mein Kampf

Don Quixote. Just like in the OG Book

Neuromancer, Dune.

1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die

Chinese people I thought you are making this movie already

Blindsight is a shit book, but would make a great lovecraftian movie.

...

Maybe a HBO miniseries would be better. But anything by Tim Powers really.

Snow Crash

The meta stuff in the second book is what makes it a classic, wouldn't translate well to the screen.

"One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez would be great.

One of the biggest literary achievements the last 100 years, but he refused to sell the film rights while he was alive. But he died in 2014 and now it might be possible.

...

This would make a good film.

...

>movie is divided in several episodes which are all basically the same
>everyone is called the same
>nothing ever happens
>the end
kino

not

A Canticle For Leibowitz. Please jews, please...

...

...

The only correct answer is Blood Meridian.

couldn't be done nowadays

>wanting to turn that into a movie/tv series
>not expecting it to be complete trash
I'm sorry user, but somethings are better left to print-only.

>inb4 Blood Memeridian
>inb4 b... But is unfilmable because so deep an violent (aka angsty edgy teenager tier)

...

Anathem would be sweet even though it's impossible.

brainlet

I have seen in local circles around here pushes to have A Land Remembered turned into a film. The authors son was the most prominent proponent of the idea. I get that he is looking for a payday but i cant understand why anyone else would want Hollywood anywhere near it. They would ruin it and completly miss the point of the story.

I think Infinite Jest could maybe work if it was about 4 hours

Daemon + Freedom™

>infinite jest
>blood meridian
>one hundred years of solitude

Sure is /entrylevellitcharts/ in here

3+ hour cut of Anne Karenina with a competent director who likes static shots and minimal use of music

Darth Plagueis
In a Netflix serie, no CGI.

Oh shit, I read those books.

None. I want new fucking fresh ideas and scripts from people who have never written anything before.

step aside plebs

Knut Hamsun's Pan

in lower taste an adaption of Turtledove's Videssos/Misplaced Legion series

The Ginger Man.
Not with Depp, though.

I want an HBO or Netflix show of it.

He's basically the physical embodiment of Sup Forums

Not a novel, but Paradise Lost. Sup Forumstards would get butthurt for being exposed at Satan-following Pharisees though and plebs don't care about the one true salvation.

I would watch it just to see how they could pull off the Razorbacks.

Dune. The spice must flow.

>Skinny albino drug addict Knight with a sword that eats souls.

What's not to like.

There are already a lot of movies about a loner in the woods though.
