Yeah, Taxi Driver.

I like Taxi Driver a tiny bit more, otherwise no.

Yeah, The Departed.
Though he had to snatch another screenplay for it but it's really good

Gang of New York was great, despite the terrible editing

No. I've watched Taxi driver many times but it just doesn't click with me, I can only appreciate it rather than liking it. Goodfellas feels like one long intro due to the narration, tbqh. Raging Bull is peak cinema, the level of artistry makes me feel sick... it's just on another level compared to even most great movies.

raging bull sucks. The fights were shit and I don't care how much of an asshole Jake Lamotta was

Goodfellas feels short as hell in general.
I feel like another hour of the movie got lost in post production.

on a technical level, Raging Bull is definitely superior to Taxi Driver, but if you can relate to Travis Bickle, you're going to love Taxi Driver more.

Raging Bull was shit

De Niro did so many amazing kinos back in the day.
What happened to this guy's career in the past 20 years ? He's done absolute shit for a while now.

his wife is spending all his money

he has one last kino up his sleeve

People will say it's his agent's fault.
In reality, it's Hollywood's fault for greenlighting so many shit movies

*Blocks ur path*

I think he got typecast as a Mafia actor. Which worked for a long time, but now movies about that sort of thing just aren't the same.

RB doesn't work because the character is portrayed with too unempathetically and with zero redeeming qualities. Too black and white.

How did Bobby went from giving so much of a fuck to giving absolutely none. I don't understand how it can be the same man

>reacting to everyone in the thread
Don’t EVER do that again

No, definitely not.

Fuck you!Bringing out the dead is Taxi driver with a relatable protagonist

Considering it's one of his worst, most overrated films, I'd say so

Best thing about Taxi Driver is that Travis is extremely relatable even if he is a weirdo. Not the best thing, but still a major element

This.
It was just a worse version of Goodfellas, like a prototype.

Neckbeards relating to a character doesn't count

>raging bull
>in taxi driver scorsese plays a literal cuckold

what did the meant by this?

hahaha you called me a neckbeard haha that sure showed me and concealed the fact you are a major pleb

haha scorsese btfo, he should have checked knowyourmeme before making his movies like us cool memesters

King of Comedy

the actor they hired for that scene didn't show up that day. Like a true kinographer he made do without the guy and did it himself

>What happened to this guy's career in the past 20 years
some people are lucky to get one good movie. I don't know why people expect an actor to get good roles all the time. They don't direct these films, they don't write the scripts. They act. That's their job.

>in taxi driver scorsese plays a literal cuckold

No, no he doesn't.

This is the only film to make me genuinely cringe at how socially retarded a character is. Cringe Kino

Casino is pure Kino

>that's my wife
>a nigger lives there
yeah, he is.

/thread

Pupkin in the summer house is cringe kino

>No. I've watched Taxi driver many times but it just doesn't click with me, I can only appreciate it rather than liking it
you must be a woman

he was going to kill the nigger and his wife, that's not cuckoldry

No. Goodfellas is a close second though.

>A cuckold is the husband of an adulterous wife
yes, he is. even if he kills them. he still is, and will be, a fucking cuckold.

an old fashioned cuck, I suppose, what's your point?
