He was okay. It was Nolan that added a lot of the shittiness, the only thing that was really Bale's fault was the voice, and it worked in the first film because he wasn't soliloquizing all the time while dressed up as Batman.

Once he started getting these really long monologues (the end of TDK where he spends like two minutes growl-yelling at Ledger about how people are good was fucking painful) the voice just became annoying.

that's literally one of the worst editting I have ever seen in cinema history... probably undergraduate level students make shit better than that crap...

Bale was so forgettable as Batman. I was rewatching the interrogation scene and of course Heath does everything to make the scene feel so realistic but when it cuts to Bale he's just sitting there in a cosplay suit with that horrible voice.

Bale is such a bad Batman and it's not entirely his fault. He was pretty good in Batman Begins but then they made his costumes too skinny and he looked like a little kid running around

I absolutely hate superheroes and comicbook films but at least TDK and Batman Begins were good, enjoyable films that were well made. Every single Marvel movie I watched was just boring, predictable and forgettable. Just like the new DC movies.
