It's part of the science centre complex so I think they were going for futuristic (((architecture))). There are comfier options. That's just where I usually wind up.

Only a couple of screens but the nearest big cinema is a 40 minute bus journey away.

This is the local indie theater, which usually gets the only run of good independent movies in the general Indianapolis area. Like half our business is built off the fact that hardly anyone plays A24 or NEON movies.

Once you become friends with the people working there, yeah. It’s pretty chill, usually just old folks coming in and making bad jokes at you. The rushes kinda suck (especially if there’s a rash of coffee orders) but it’s not especially demanding and the people are fun to dick around with.

I think I'd get pissed off with parents complaining about the movie they've taken their kids to see, people moaning about popcorn prices etc.

Cinema where I work in the UK. People there are pretty great but we show nothing but """"""blockbusters"""""" almost exclusively. It hurt deep when BR2049 got snubbed by pretty much the entire town (it's a small shit town populated about 80% with 60+'s).

There's a Cineworld in town but i'm not much of a people person and it gets too busy so i take a 2 hour walk down the canal to this place. Only 2 screens and is comfy as fuck, plus it has a restaurant and we can take drinks from the bar in with us then have dinner after.

This was my cinema, they close it promising to built a multicinema but they never delivered
It's been closed since spiderman 2 wich was the last movie I saw there
They wanted to made a supermarket now but the neihbours asociation doesn't want it, they are controlled by a bunch of sjw commies so they would rather put refugee homes there or make it a "public" center so the youth can get tatoos and train to work in a circus.
And then they wonder why no one ever enters the asociation

Yeah no, they really aren't. No one thought of surround sound setups as much back in the day, while today any decent cinema should have perfect acoustic treatment in every theater. I won't even bring up IMAX or Dolby theaters

Most large towns/cities in Western Europe will have a generic chain cinema that looks like every other cinema on earth.

However many of them will also have an old fashioned cinema from back in the days when people built cinemas to be as grand as a stage theatre.
