Small town cinemas are the best
...
I have the choice between two Regal’s. Are they really that bad in comparison?
A FUCKING EGG
Is it because you want to join the EU so bad you want to show them how much you love communism?
I despise my existence
Layout reminds me of a lecture theatre rather than a cinema screen.
6/10
It's part of the science centre complex so I think they were going for futuristic (((architecture))). There are comfier options. That's just where I usually wind up.
Oops. Pic.
Only a couple of screens but the nearest big cinema is a 40 minute bus journey away.
This is the local indie theater, which usually gets the only run of good independent movies in the general Indianapolis area. Like half our business is built off the fact that hardly anyone plays A24 or NEON movies.
It’s also where I work, and where I’m currently taking a shit.
Is working in an indie theatre as comfy as my imagination thinks it would be?
spookino
Shit city, good cinema
Once you become friends with the people working there, yeah. It’s pretty chill, usually just old folks coming in and making bad jokes at you. The rushes kinda suck (especially if there’s a rash of coffee orders) but it’s not especially demanding and the people are fun to dick around with.
My local slavic cinematheque
It has a cocktail bar and you can order expensive appetizers to your seat.
I think I'd get pissed off with parents complaining about the movie they've taken their kids to see, people moaning about popcorn prices etc.
Customer-facing jobs are really tricky
do they dim/turn off the lamps when the film comes on?
cos otherwise they'd be really distracting
I’m kinda numb to it anymore. Every job’s got assholes, but it’s easy to just laugh about them later on.
Yes
Cinema where I work in the UK. People there are pretty great but we show nothing but """"""blockbusters"""""" almost exclusively. It hurt deep when BR2049 got snubbed by pretty much the entire town (it's a small shit town populated about 80% with 60+'s).
Comfy as a motherfucker
1.
Odeon up here pulled Blade Runner 2049 after about 3 weeks.
Cineworld is still showing it tbf.
Trips dont lie.
2.
There's a Cineworld in town but i'm not much of a people person and it gets too busy so i take a 2 hour walk down the canal to this place. Only 2 screens and is comfy as fuck, plus it has a restaurant and we can take drinks from the bar in with us then have dinner after.
This was my cinema, they close it promising to built a multicinema but they never delivered
It's been closed since spiderman 2 wich was the last movie I saw there
They wanted to made a supermarket now but the neihbours asociation doesn't want it, they are controlled by a bunch of sjw commies so they would rather put refugee homes there or make it a "public" center so the youth can get tatoos and train to work in a circus.
And then they wonder why no one ever enters the asociation
>any dining / theater combination
pleb trash
The new complex that just got built around the corner from me.
...
What the ever living fuck, never thought I'd see another Newcastle user on Sup Forums
There always seems to be a fucking Nandos near the cinema chains.
Shit chicken, shit prices, shit service.
has a bar on each floor and every seat reclines with dolby atmos sound. pretty comfy small theatre with A24 links
The largest room
Super comfy watched blade runner twice here
>tfw your local kínoráma is an untouched european iconic landmark built in 1924.
It doesn’t get more kino than this lads
My cinema is literally called 'kino'
Melbourne Australia for reference
Is the fenced off area the singles enclave?
...
its an old photo that enclosed area wasnt there when i went
In my experience the acoustics in those old theaters are even better than the acoustics in new ones
Wtf thats way too long
Looks like they've done that up a bit since I was last there (20 years ago).
Comfy.
...
Mine looks like a 35mm film
Yeah no, they really aren't. No one thought of surround sound setups as much back in the day, while today any decent cinema should have perfect acoustic treatment in every theater. I won't even bring up IMAX or Dolby theaters
That looks amazing
Are these peoples actual cinemas? I dont believe for one second the average cinema around the world looks this fucking good
Looks comfy as fuck
That looks like a Home Depot or an Ikea
Lmao your cinema stinks
...
Lad you live in Fife too?
looked
:(
Jesus Christ, I thought that was a cinema in India for a moment.
It's old as fuck but, hey. 2.50 for movie tickets is a great deal.
Obviously there's self-selection, with people posting places they really like rather than more generic cinemarts.
america was full of gorgeous cinemas but they were demolished
Bongland has nothing close to whats been posted in this thread we have the BFI imax and the Empire thats it probably and this one for smaller movies
lmao are you watching films in someone's bedroom there?
It's in Aberdeen
Has a comfy as fuck basement bar too.
Pretty much.
I rather go to the big city's cinema since my local cinema is obviously made for couples.
:^)
BFI IMAX is pretty fucking great though
>lights on the tables for every pair of seats
My theater got rid of those like 10 years ago. That was comfy as hell
...
This was a beautiful movie palace in the Bronx, from before the nigger invasion. They turned it into one of those scam ""churches,"" I think current year man actually had an episode on the pastor.
That’s a bit sad, hope there's something better near you.
We also have this one a bit a couple of miles away, every seat reclines
>FLAT screen
gay
forgot my picture
that guy looks so happy to be there, I'm happy for him
that's neat as hell
>Not going to the GFT
Is it weird that I find these imax theaters kind of scary? Something about how huge it is just freaks me out
undergrad at St Andrews
...
holy shit
I live 3 min away from there
This are kino but have you folks seen Kimo?
Most large towns/cities in Western Europe will have a generic chain cinema that looks like every other cinema on earth.
However many of them will also have an old fashioned cinema from back in the days when people built cinemas to be as grand as a stage theatre.
That car just makes this picture
Since 1936, great for classics and double features.
Also a few blocks away is the megaplex. $4.75 daily matinee and plays limited release movies like Killing of a Sacred Deer.
He's probably a meth dealer.
...
cinemas were beautiful
multicinemas are garbage
I'm from Trowbridge too and I'm not suprised BR2049 wasn't that popular there. At least the town has a cinema now.
What's the best way to find the best nearest kinoplex?
