Sopranos & the Supernatural

You know, this is the first show to give me this eerie, creepy feeling. With a horror or thriller movie/show, you know what you're in for, and every scare makes you jump, maybe sticks with you for a while, but then it's gone. Sopranos is different. Because it's so mundane and rooted in the real world, all the paranormal occurences seem more lively, and as the stakes get higher and the mood heavier, you start feeling this... dread, in every episode.

Am I just a pussy, or does anybody else think this?

That scene fucked me up for a week. It was so unexpected and sudden. I don't remember any other scary scenes from Sopranos though.

you know, quasimodo predicted all of this

Really? Capeshit, b8, meme generals, aaaallll these hit the 100s, but as soon as a proper thread comes up,it dies with 2 replies and a meme?

>Where do you think we are.jpg

That scene where Paulie sees the psychic creeped me the fuck out.

i dunno about the supernatural, but that shit where tony was in the coma at the beginning of season 6 had me fucked up.. just questioning the nature of existence and life
when he said "maybe i am kevin finnerty".. fuck me entire body just went tingly

Jesus christ faggot. There is already a fucking shit posting sopranos thread. Go post your garbage there. Fucking faggot.
Genuinely sorry about your thread op. Fuck hiro and fuck reddit for their Sup Forums is just for shitposting attitude.

I feel the dread that weighs on the characters but the show is so kino that it's an utter joy to me

Pussy's ghost and the man on the stairs at Liv's funeral still creep me out.

>man on the stairs at Liv's funeral
Hmm?

That, Mary and when tony sees pussy’s ghost in the mirror were unsettling to say the least

>I don't remember any other scary scenes from Sopranos though.

there was a scene where tony sees a silouette of a woman on the stairs that was scary...

also when kevin finnerty walks up to a house in a dream sequence and a sillouette of a woman invites him in...

Lurk more and get off your fucking phone when you're watching shows. You fucking disgust me faggot.

What about Tony waking up all alone in the Bing after dumping Ralphie's body? Shit was creepy.

Bump

The scene with the shadow woman on the stairs was chilling, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be Livia. That scene got to me because my nightmares always seem to involve an empty house, with the only light being the light from the sun on a bright spring day, so I really related to it.

Still scared of the dark you pathetic fuck?

I don't get nightmares these days, but they always vary. Last one was me standing in an empty house, and watching some ants crawl up the wall. They stared swelling and becoming red, until they exploded with blood sprouting everywhere. My most common ones are attending a Witch Party, and being eaten alive by a Bald Wrestler.

Have a (you) for trying to ruin the thread, but this is the last one.

Well what the fuck bothered you about it? A guy wakes up in a warm, safe place. Fucking creepy brah.

go back

You ruined Sup Forums you memeing little faggot.

your triggered tears orgasm me

Get a load of this fucken guy

You always feel cold watching this show

Kinda. After every episode you feel kinda uneasy. Especially as seasons progress.

Me personally I, baring the 6th season, I feel like I'm on a ride at disney world when it stops to let wheel hair people on or it just stops. Like that feeling of just sitting there (especially on spaceship earth) and youre almost waiting for the animatronics to do something,

>After every episode you feel kinda uneasy
The absolute state of modern men

Uneasy =/= scared user. Art influences people, what a novel concept! If what you'rewatching or reading doesn't affect you,why do you keep doing it?

I get freaked out when Chrissy gets made and the crow appears at the window then disappears as soon as the ritual is over.

>the man on the stairs
This one was the creepiest.

The ending. It's so subvertive, in a way we haven't really seen the show before. I in no way think it was a murder, a hit, a death, but I do think it was an option. That was always what The Sopranos tried to do, either subvert or give so many interpretations that you can't decide on just one.
It's kind of scary to think about it when you're trying to sleep at 2 AM and I have to work in the morning, what if that is how it ends? But you know better, but also, but also, but, but, but, there is constant back and forth and that is what I believe the entire message of the scene was. I hate ambiguity, westerns hate ambiguity, and that was all Chase was trying to do was make something memorable. Don't give them a finale, a wrap up, just fuck them up, the show was good enough, the ending doesn't have to perfect it

Oh I also have read that sopranos essay more than twice, I've rewatched the series over 10 times and I'm currently watching season 4 again. The ending scene is scary, almost supernatural, and I do not buy that the completely obvious Bobby/bell scene, or Silvio/hit scene are setup foreshadowing. That's too easy, that's not exactly what they wanted to convey. You expect better from the show, and they do have it, it's just obscured by that god damn boat scene, the flashback in the penultimate episode, and Silvio's dinner experience. God damn it this show is good

Tony's really going to Hell, isn't he? I wonder what it looks like.

I'm watching this and Hannibal back to back, and really, Hannibal doesn't come close to affecting me as much as Sopranos. Here they show Hannibal at 02:00 and I put it on for noise. Sopranos I can't watch before bed because the dark undertones in most episodes fuck me up a bit. Goes to show that atmosphere > gore.

>Sopranos I can't watch before bed because the dark undertones in most episodes fuck me up a bit.
Fucking queer

Do you just wait for people to bump this thread and say the same thing? Like said, uneasy =/= being scared. Someone who's deathly afraid wouldn't be able to struggle through Hannibal. It's just that show that are set in mundane settings who manage to creep in something unsettling, get to you more. The situation is real enough that it can theoretically happen to you too,
