Wait. So

Wait. So.

The entire movie was about how the Justice League suck and Superman is overpowered.

Did I get that right?

yes. which is why superman is the most boring fucking superhero of all time.

i don't get the problem, it was exactly like this in the books too.

That's pretty much what the Justice League is.

t. the "comic fan" that's never read a comic in his life

The entire movie was about how to spend 300 millions and ruin your cinematic universe

>MUH KAL-LEL

you just cant make batman look like a good superhero next to literal gods. He always just looks like a retard cosplaying

is it true he just beats the main big bad on his own

Yeah, this is the movie's biggest problem.

The movie titled JUSTICE LEAGUE is literally about why the JUSTICE LEAGUE is redundant and unnecessary.

He does the heavy lifting, but he's not the only one to contribute

Wrong. It was about HETERO PATRIARCHY, YOUR WRATH UPON THIS EARTH IS OVER!

explain further

Aquaman and Wonder Woman both help kick the shit out of him, but Superman hits hardest and smashes him through walls and stuff. Flash spends the entire fight saving one group of civilians miles away. Cyborg spends the entire fight trying to stop the Mother Boxes from activating. Batman spends the entire fight shooting Parademons with a gun.

The animated series didn't have a problem with that.

>about 70% of the justice league's power is just superman

what happened to spreading power throughout all the characters

All the problems with killing Superman in BvS were manifested in JL. The movie should've been about how indispensable someone like Batman, Cyborg, or Aquaman are, not deus ex Supemachina.

Marshal Law is the best comic series.

>Gets upset about character being uninteresting
>Posts picture of character being uninteresting

Its fine to have a goody-two shoes morally unbending character, but their power set needs to compensate. If a character has unrivaled power and is endlessly good there is no conflict.

They have that moment where everyone starts to lose, then Superman shows uo. He doesnt make a grand entrance, he just appears, says a quip and punches the bad guy. He fights for about 30 seconds then the parademons turn on him and drag him back to his home world.

They eat him, not drag him back home.

It's both

that is because its animated, not live action

Injustice Superman is best Superman. He just works as a villain.

I have more of a problem with the eyebrow than the patriarchy stuff tbqh

It was great. But, there was far too much bad CGI. The Amazons were the best thing about the film, but everything else...It was awful. What is going to happen to Wonder Woman and Patty? They were the BEST ever. Wonder Woman Best DCEU movie ever.

>parademons turn on him
Reminded me of Wicker Man

That Batman description is exactly the type of thing I wanted to see

The shoddy CG and bad editing are really the only problems with the movie. It's really not as bad as I expected it to be and came away entertained, unlike with BvS which is unwatchable. It had some good character beats and action scenes. The flashback to the ancient battle against Steppenwolf was great just for that quick glimpse at a Green Lantern.

you can go suck a million cocks.
that scene was amazing, you clearly don't have any love for your own father.

Bad jokes, Batman being a different character from BvS, and Steppenwolf being a non-character were also problems.

>The shoddy CG and bad editing are really the only problems with the movie.
"Bad editing" goes a long way here. There's are scenes that don't really go anywhere like Wonder Woman's introduction, and keeping the runtime below 2 hours seems to have excised Aquaman and Cyborg's arcs entirely. It seems like most of the substance of the movie has been edited away.

Pretty much. Movie goes downhill then they keep asserting that "the world needs Superman". Its the same BS that they pulled in Superman Returns, and frankly, people are sick of it. The movie was doing good when it was Batman leading the League trying to figure out a way to beat the Steppenwulf. The final battle was interesting when the heroes were figuring out a way to keep Steppenwulf busy while defusing the boxes.

Then Supermans big dumb, Frankenstein, Mary Sue "nothin personnel kid" ass zooms in, curbstomps Steppenwulf, and makes everything pointless. No tension. No concern. Superman saves the day "Yay".

Steppenwolf was so trivial to Superman that he even runs off mid beat down to go pick up an entire building full of civilians to bring to safety, then comes back and finishes kicking his ass.

He's most effective against Steppenwolf, but defeating him relies on his frost breath, with WW breaking the frozen axe.
Mostly though, they don't do much damage to him at all.
Also, helps Cyborg separate the mother boxes
Its a team effort, on a technicality.

The Avengers didn't have this problem with Clint barton and black widow.
Movie is about dream and fictions, ie a good director will always make things believable even if they aren't, especially in a superhero universe.

>You can't save the world alone
>But Superman can

Because they picked a lame villain. Why it wasn't Darkseid himself is beyond me, he is much stronger and is actually capable of beating Superman. Although, to be fair, any appropriately powerful villain would still render Batman useless just like he was for most fights in this movie.

It would have worked fine in a serialized format like cartoon or comic, but as a movie, having the badguy get curbstomped by a dude who shows up at the end is trash. Even if they plan to make more, you can't make it movie with a complete anti-climax to put someone over and then say "see you in two years" it's like if pro-wrestling was just the wrestlemania.

There's a million and one villains they could've picked that would've given ALL of the Justice League something to do. It didn't have to be all about punching.
Brainiac
Lex Luthor, if they wanted another swing at that
If they REALLY wanted to go the New Gods route, then they could've ACTUALLY gone the New Gods route and brought in Granny Goodness and/or Kalebek, maybe even Orion
Mtzlpltlk or the Bizarroverse could've been neat, if a little left-field

Point is, they've got options for villains. If they wanted to tell a story that WASN'T literally "Superman makes the Justice League pointless", there were a lot of things they could've done.

The point is, they were lazy. Steppenwolf is literally just "Supervillain #19826", with a built-in sequel hook. That's it. They clearly didn't want to tell a story, they just wanted a two hour toy commercial.

They want to have something to build up to.

Build up for a sequel that now may genuinely never come. Was it worth it WB?

Man this isn't a fucking anime with 150 episodes. It's a MOVIE.
Let's not even mention that they had MoS and BvS for the "introduction".

If only MoS or BvS had actually estaished anything.
Wait, BvS has that 30 second throwaway scene with a steppenwolf hologram where nothing happened. Great.

This. I hate the whole "Superman is boring" thing because it's such a lazy criticism that people just parrot from some other assholes who also never bothered reading Superman comics.

Batman's the brains that drives the operation
Wonder Woman's the heart that keeps Batman on point
Superman's the muscle that enacts Batman's plans

The rest are like foot soldiers, they are only as useful as the plot allows.

>Needs a Waynetech weapon to beat Doomsday

What'd you mean by this
