Finished seeing this show. Never heard of Anima Studio before, but I can understand why people who didn't like the studio in the first place put the show in the trash by just watching one episode.
the animation is... Let just say that if Steven universe was animated like that, we would never see the end of Sup Forums complain about how shit it is. It's saying a lot coming from me, because I am usually VERY forgiving, but there, I couldn't help but think it was Kangoo quality (French show).
The writing is... There is good characterisation, but you can see they have an idea for putting drama without thinking on how to do it. Several of the disputes between characters felt like it was there because it needed to be for story reason. We also see the unoriginal drama plot of bickering among characters because there is some sort of mandatory checklist to put all the conflict you could see in your average TV show in the 80's. Ghost rules also are inconsistent and seems to be set for the convenience of the plot.
The most obvious culprit being the episode when rainbow dinosaurus is send to find some run while Leo act like a complete dick for the sole sake of him realising he was wrong later in the episode. Theo propose to accompany him but he don't want to because reason. Also out of character for Theo to not do it anyway. The story required for Alibrije to have his soul sucked and making everyone stupid was the only way for it to happens. Theo and Marcela Bickering seemed to have very little ground too, it was only there because they needed conflict and a reconcilation in their story and didn't knew how to put the conflict in in the first place.
Once again, a writing of this level would never be forgiven for Steven Universe or Adventure time.

Yeah, it's true that you can complaint about something, as much as you can spam something else. It's true.
That being said, there was solid ideas and like mentioned earlier, excellent characterisation. I put up with this show at first mostly for waifu reason but also because I quickly become interested in their backstories, a sign that there was actual quality behind it. And as the story progressed, you could see the writing AND animation actually improving.
If Anima really put out only shit before, then I think you could actually tell it was the first project they realised might actually be something solid. You can see they really started to pour their heart into it. like "yeah, we are actually on the right track, there". It alternated Villain "of the week" and over-arching story well. I swear the rainbow magibeast would get on my nerves fast on the first eps with a "lol-so-random" humor, but surprisingly, they really managed to make him attaching an loveable as the show went on.
You care about each character, you empathise with them and the villains were good, with nice motivations, none of them felt one-dimenssional, not even the big bad, which happens quite often with this level of production. You could really feel the tension in the final, it was actually quite smart. i just whish they hadn't completely ripped Back to the future 2 for Theo's "resolution". It could have been, for example, maybe Theo, after being out of the hospital, visiting the ruin she had been with her friend, having a moment, remembering their adventures, and there discovering a message they had left out. That would have hit the target way better than just ripping BTtF2, but I guess there was time limitation to do that.
Anyway, it was nice seeing the show improves and the animation team evolves as I watched that and I got a not too shabby story and some new waifus along the way.

It seems like it had more monsters they could use, and they were obviously setting up Theodora to return somehow after she was killed and then revived.
