ITT: Creepy, unsettling movies

Small towns and shit like that. I want people going missing, weird shit happening, unexplainable events. Or maybe stuff that turns out to be pretty mundane. As long as it's creepy. Pic related.

I know this doesn't fit with the theme of my own thread, but this type of movie fits as well. Found footage, well-made horror movies. That are also creepy.

The Bay if parasites make your skin crawl.

Loved that movie. The slow burn really helps, the dread rising with every scene.

Is it still on Netflix?

I love how they put the annunaki language in

The Fourth Kind really made me frustrated, it just never quite went as far as I was hoping. It had the potential to be the next Mothman Prophecies, but it never went overtly strange. It had good stuff going on with the owl symbolism, but that's it. It never quite takes off.

>based on a true story
>lol just kidding it's all bullshit

No idea about netflix, can confirm its on Amazon Prime though.

I was at a girl's house and we started watching this movie but only got like 20 minutes in before we just got straight to fucking

what a great night.

Fuck this movie. I fell for the true story meme and the "real footage" scared the shit out of me. Rest of the movie isn't worth noting.

Fuck this fucking film. I was dragged back in college by a bunch of fucking nerd autist "friends" at the time to see this after we went to go see something I wanted to watch.

They were all so into it. One kept telling me beforehand how he knew all about these "accounts" the film was based on and how they were real. It was insufferable cringe. The film was so unbearable.

I remember some homeless retarded guy standing up at various points in the movie, doing some hood type shit with his arms yelling "THATS THE REAL SHIT RIGHT THERE, THEY DONT TALK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE TRUTH", sitting down and spouting off conspiracy theories, then rambling to himself incoherently, before standing up again when something would happen proclaiming the same things over and over.

The entertainment value of him alone saved my night. He was eventually escorted out and put up a fight. That alone saved my evening.

you seem unstable

From the start the movie feels eerie, than comes that fucking final act.

Quite liked Dark Skies, had some cool twists on the ayys, like taking place in suburbia and them being essentially Lovecraftian beings who don't operate on any discernible logic and a great cameo by JK Simmons as the best character in the flick. It's a movie about ideas more than what's put on screen, definitely recommend.

Would you, Sup Forums?

Sinister by Scott Derrickson. Best horror movie in years.

Summerian is a human language

Actually, it was originally called Mummerian, as it was the language of mummies.

Kek.. ok then.

...

I'll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

Their language is from the annunaki. They learn it from them.
