Huge pile of shit

It’s absolute garbage that completely disregards the source material that made the character popular in the first place. This is more like Homeland than The Punisher. It’s boring, it’s preachy, some of the fight scenes are very poorly choreographed, and it’s full of heavy handed political agenda that’s about as subtle as getting hit in the head by a brick. Be very wary of positive reviews, many of which seem to be repeating running themes from the Netflix marketing department. (“Jon is the Punisher”, “it’s a slow burn.” Etc) You ruined a great character Netflix. I will never trust you again.

8.5/10 could've been shorter but overall entertaining and visceral.

t. Liberal soyboy.

You mad the show is pro guns and pro veteran soldiers, cuck?

Fuck off shill.

>muh modernized war on terror veteran soldier
>muh interrogation scene
>muh support group

When are they going to drop this boring shit that's been done to death for the past decade?

Don't listen to obnoxious Punisherfags. The series is quite alright.

something tells me that's not his issue

It’s anti guns, anti military, and anti war. You must have been watching a different show. Either that or the true message of the show went way over your tiny little pin head.

The show actually spends more time with a forced diversity Iranian female character than it does with the actual Punisher.

do you want the show to be pro gun, pro war?

It’s the most boring and pointless show ever put on tv.

It was ok 6/10 maybe
This Punisher was presented much better in Daredevil Season 2

Nah, He was total shit in both. Bernthal is a complete miscast

>Liberal senator pushes anti gun agenda.
>Gets portrayed as a clown and the day is saved by a woman and the Punisher using GUNS.

Also why the fuck do you want a pro war message?

Could have been a solid 7 (7.5 if I'm feeling generous) without her. She totally ruins the show. The scenes with her mother are fucking unbearable.

Same fag.

Show is fucking garbage

She is hot, sex scenes showed her amazing ass.

Tomboyish girls are trully best.

But this is Netflix, their shows aren’t about entertainment, they’re propaganda. They’re literally trying to program the way you think about various issues. Hence the forced and totally out of place inclusion of a character that brings nothing to the story except the writer’s political agenda

Notice hi they teamed her with a Jewish guy. As if Iranians and Jews are not mortal enemies

I'm surprised people made it past episode 1. If shows based around hype culture can't even do the first episode right, they'll never improve.

Was she supposed to be Iranian? I did not pay attention to any of her scenes. I was under the impression that she's Indian.

She has a hideous man face, and if you’re concerned with her ass you’re probably a fag

>tomboy
Confirmed gay

She’s Persian, aka, Iranian. Which means the talk about her fathers religious faith is a pro Islam thing

Samefag

>Girl
>Gay

I bet you fuck boys.

Triggered closet case homosexual

>hating on voicefu

who the fuck is "voicefu"? Surely you don't mean that hideous indian croaking frog mother. People like you should be drowned in a barrel of horse urine.

I literally gave up after I realised that they killed The Punisher in the cradle. All the SJW bullshit ruined it.

Weird that Daredevil got a more intense interrogation scene.

Sup Forums please get out. The show isn't SJW. They have the female lead make one remark "that's racist, sexist and demeaning of my qualities" within a few minutes of her introduction and then never mention it again. I actually love how they got that out of the way quickly.

The show is heavily supportive of the nuclear family, pro-gun and veterans are treated with the utmost respect. There's faggots whining on this board that the punisher "only kills white people' but they clearly didn't watch the show.

Fpbp

I'm at episode 8 and as far as I can tell the show started out with closing the punisher story in the first 10 minutes of episode 1. everything coming after is his way back, rebuilding the character and asking the question what comes after he punished everyone. so far the pacing is slow but I can handle that. the acting is fine, the action is okay, the story is not the best but not real shit either. gotta admit though that the show feels rather mediocre. I guess they have to build his background first and make way for season 2 where he is what he's supposed to be. would rate 6.5/10 so far

It's a good start, Bernthal and Micro are great in their respective roles so far, (I'm about half way though), I'm never bored as long as those two are on the screen. My biggest gripe so far is that it's unfortunately connected to the marvel universe, so the showrunners are naturally obliged to cram a bunch of forced characters and references, second, it's obvious Netflix or whoever is financing this demanded more episodes than what was originally planned, resulting in some derivative scenes which could've been cut out completely for a better pace.

Other than that, I'd day it's a good start. If they improve upon this for the next season we're in for a truly killer season which could really knock it out of the park. Also this is by far the best Marvel related show produced to date, I can say this confidently even though I'm not through it completely.

Spec Ops the line iis great fuckoff faggot

Who the fuck was this guy and what did he have to do with the Punisher?

>Samefage

and
Were 4 seconds apart

This guys arc was fucking amazing until the end, I loved that this dude was in this.

>pro guns
The show goes out of it's way to be anti gun at every chance it gets

>cram a bunch of forced characters and references
This Show has the least of this from all the netflix shows, wtf

Holy fuck:
>Karen has a concealed carry weapon
>BTFOs the senators' argument
>Senator is a clown and a hypocrite
>Jigsaw tells the senator to his face that
>Frank saves the day, again and again, with guns

The only points made were that:
>Veteran treatment is shit
>Don't kill innocents for your cause or you're just a fuckng terrorist
>Killing bad guys is OK

Fucking try to stop your conscious attempt at distorting the show's message just because you want to feel outraged, faggot

How would the punisher kill the bad guys without the guns, huh smartguy?

a knife

Veterans are nut jobs the character

The only people not liking this show are ADHD niggers that get bored if there is no explosion every 3 seconds.

They fucking changed his origin story so his family was killed by the government instead of the mob. The fact that they were killed by the mob was his entire motivation for fighting crime.

It has great ratings so Sup Forums has to be contrarian about it

they originally killed by nobody in particular, it was a senseless crime he never solved. his origin gets updated every once in a while. then it was a mob hit. sometimes he's been an ex-cop. all of the movies did a slight variation on it.
that's not even a real issue.

it doesn't completely disregards the source material, it actually uses a lot of the source material. but it does adapt it to film. all marvel and dc movies do this, nothing is 100% 1:1, the closest is probably 300 or sin city and even that is only like 75% exact to the comics.

the choreography is a lot better than a shit ton of shows and movies. it looked decent.

politically it never fully took sides, if you get offended by even hearing the oppositions point, then maybe it's you and not the show.

you're preachy and about as subtle as a brick to the head with your political agenda. so i will never trust you again user.

It was like a mediocre 5/10 season of 24

But since it was not supposed to be 24 but a season of The Punisher the score goes down to 3/10

that's iron fist

it was the same as every other marvel netflix capeshit show, really fucking boring

I enjoyed Jon's performance as The Punisher, but I also enjoyed Jane's and Stevenson in their role as The Punisher.

I didn't mind the lack of fight scenes or body count. I was disappointed in how seeming little he actually does as The Punisher. At the end of Daredevil season 2 we get to see him wear the skull then immediately burns it in the first episode of the The Punisher show and he never wear's it again until the very end. He spends most of the show in a black hoodie. At the end of Daredevil season 2 it also shows Frank getting a special item at the end AND WE NEVER FUCKING SEE THIS ONCE IN THE SHOW! I guess they are saving that for season 2? Go fuck yourself Netflix. Do you get the point I'm trying to make here?

Im 4 episodes in and ive practically given up trying to like it now that ive read it doesnt get any better.

The best part so far was the construction crew gig. Feminist diversity whore agent is doing her best to ruin everything else.

They baited me in with Berenthal but then tied his hands into a fucking Homeland drama.

I was really hoping for a episode by episode of the Punisher hunting some criminal or seeing him go on steakouts, what he does in his downtime, various aspects of the whole "Punisher industry" that is required to keep Frank in business. I would have liked to see him and Micro doing jobs together.

So many of the boring, pointless subplots could have been cut too focus and flesh out the Punisher. I was almost hoping it would be like reading a comic and instead its just another drama, by the numbers tv show.

>steakouts

villains and secondary characters are all reflections of castle.

micro is castle with a chance of going back to normal life because at least his family is still alive.

the nsa chick, represents loss and losing your objectivity because of it, going into obsession.

billy/jigsaw is evil castle, because same training but he was evil/damaged before he went in.

ptsd soldier boy is what society fears castle is vs what he feels he is. society is constantly split between thinking he's a vigilante taking care of a problem and a mass murderer who can modernly be considered a terrorist. the kid thinks they're the same and doesn't understand how castle approaches being the punsher completely different and much more carefully. society doesn't really differentiate the two because they don't know the details, they don't know what castle is thinking/doing/who the real villains are. both the kid and castle think they're right. but the kid doesn't differentiate between the guilty and the non guilty.

all of these are character types that show up in punisher comics all the time.

the good cop consumed with catching the punisher/losing themselves and ultimately learning they're wrong.

the punisher wannabe

the evil version of the punisher

the person who is almost a frank castle who the punisher rescues so they never become A punisher.

He has such a fucking punchable face

I made it through all of Iron fist, hell even Luke Cage without skipping and skimming episodes but in Punisher? Senpai I skipped through so much of Madani's scenes and I never felt like I was out of the loop.

Its very difficult to make high end governmental work seem interesting and appealing when the stakes arent high but for fuck sake, they blew any potential of making an interesting character.

Another thing that tilted me was how BIlly turned into an antagonist waaaay too fast. I mean, after meeting with Agent Orange the show took every fucking opportunity to paint him as the super duper evil character.

it's like there was a missing season where after DD he goes on a punisher rampage and thinks he's done by the beginning of s1. which is why he burns the suit.
he then spends the entire season gearing up to do it again after figuring out he wasn't done at all. but i guess i understand some people really, really, wanted to see that rampage.

though i'd argue this was a cool arc nonetheless . but i understand that maybe spending 1 or 2 episodes on the rampage alone would be good. but there's not a lot more story than that in a rampage. and i'm guessing they really needed to fill the rest of the 13 episodes.

i hated how he spoke. it had a stutter and a bit of a lisp, real quiet effeminate voice. how he survived the incessant name calling he probably got in the military and high school is crazy.

well that might explain why he's crazy.

fixed that for you

>dude you're a bad person because you did this bad thing
>*doesn't give you any other choice to advance the game other than to do the bad thing*
wow amazing writing

why is the jew cop a basilisk? just resemblance?

I'm 5 episodes in and until now is good. Maybe a little too much time wasted on the arab girl and her beta-orbiter fag story arc (i'm uniterested in) but has not bother me THAT much, at least for the moment.

>Implying The Line isnt an amazing game

For the whole "Frank-suicide mission" (the one that earned him the Navy Cross) I would have used this OST

youtube.com/watch?v=K6y_KScT2vs

insted that country-tier shit.

First ep set things up pretty well but it turns into a generic second rate bourne thing. He's too whiny and remorseful, he should already be broken

Watched ONE episode and dropped it. The script was so fucking cheesy.

>insert generic bully cast, whos evil for the sake of being evil
>Insert generic mexican "yo maaaan, i totally understand you yo, my life is shit to yo, im from the hood as well yo, eat this sandwhich hombre
>"hey look its the retard, who swings a hammer all day, haha what a retarded retard"
>REEEE STOP SWINGING THE HAMMER ALL THE TIME, WE CANT WORK OVERTIME REEEE
>we gun fuck u up niggah REEEE
Like that whole fucking plotpoint was SO FUCKING STUPID and unrealistic

Implying any of those fucking idiots who dare fuck with a guy who is able to smash a wall for what? 12 hours a day??

Atleast they cast the perfect guy for The Punisher. I feel sad for him, cause his performance in Daredevil was fucking flawless

he's not great in the role but the trial and prison stuff was great for the character

Sorry I've been drinking and awake for over 2 days.

>it's a Frank hangs out with Micro's hot wife while it periodically cuts back to Micro looking concerned episode

>She’s Persian
Why do Iranians do this, there is no Persia, its been gone for a long time , just let it go

Is the actress who plays her mom a tranny or what? What the fuck is up with her voice?

It was an overwrought and wildly unsubtle subplot to teach the dumbfuck normie audience the difference between a "vigilante" and a "terrorist." The former has an ethos, the latter is nihilistic. This literally could have been explained in a 5 minute piece of dialogue between Frank and Micro but instead Netflix decided to ram a pointless subplot up our asses over several pointless episodes because they have no fucking clue what they are doing with these Marvel shows.

>mfw billie pulled the asscreed move
