What if they made a show based on Iron Fist

And didn't hire someone that knew martial arts to star?

That's so gay.

Since Iron Fist is about a straight white man being better at karate than asians I imagine they hired a gay as a way to pander to their SJW audience.

Whites are better than asians at martial arts, they always win the olympics.

Why does that matter when you have stunt doubles? You think Charlie Cox has been trained as a ninja his whole life and that's the only reason Daredevil is good?

Well I don't think daredevil is good.

That looks like a gay porn .gif and I know because I collect them. (For a friend)

Daredevil wears a mask so they can easily put a stunt actor in there.

Yeah but at the end of the day you still know it's not Charlie Cox. It shouldn't really matter if you can kind of tell from their face or not, because you're watching a story where neither man is Charlie Cox, they're both playing Matt Murdock.

>You think Charlie Cox has been trained as a ninja

Nobody ever thought that after watching DD fight scenes.

Is he actually gay? I thought he just played a homo on Game of Thrones.

Yes but you want to imagine that character looks the same throughout the picture. So making that stunt double transition convincing is pretty important.

it's not that he doesn't know martial arts that's the problem as most actors don't, it's that he was so fucking lazy he didn't even bother to train for the role. I'm a neet that hasn't seen the sun in months and I'm in better shape than him.

That isn't the issue, though.

The issue is that without a lead who can do his own stunts or a way in-camera to disguise that the stunt double is doing the stunt work, you're forced to cut around the fight scenes a lot.

That style of filming really takes away any momentum from a martial arts fight scene. Think of the most praised fights in Daredevil; they all involve long shots where you can clearly track what's happening.

I was hoping for fights like this, and apparently what we're getting is nowhere near that standard. Hiring a lead who doesn't know martial arts and then not having a way to disguise his stunt double (when the source material has a perfect excuse) means that you'll get bad fights, which is the kiss of death for this show.

swimming isnt martial arts user

Finn a cute. Don't bully him.

is he /fit/ at all? probably the skinniest male "superhero" besides Grant Gustin

Screencap this
later in the series they'll have going to put in a twist that he's gay in the hopes that it'll garner back support from progressives

>implying Iron Fist does not wear a mask

He was talking about the shows, user.

He doesn't in s1 of IF, user.

Netflix shows were all mistake besides like 3 cool fight scenes and 3 monologues

He had a fucking month from getting cast to filming the show

I don't think he's the right guy at all for the show, but jesus christ man, be reasonable, actors are still human beings bound by the same limitations the rest of us are

>actors are still human beings bound by the same limitations the rest of us are
Youre right, but with the magic of special effects and editting they can make anyone be an action star.

>I never actually watched the Olympics

what if he rides the cocks of the criminals to exhaust them and make New York safer?

From the stories I hear he probably put more effort in smoking weed everyday

Details?

If they're really too scared to put a mask on a superhero, they could have done something cool like paint his face like they do in the Peking Opera.

This one is pretty much Lei Kung as it is
