Ooh, sat draw really good motion.

Very cute Motion. Who's the artist?

Satellite Nine.
She's drawn stuff for the threads before.

...

To remember old concepts, to get creativity flowing, and to bump this thread, let's do a /coc/ random matchup.

the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Random

Get two random people from the Sup Forumsservantory to face off. Prefably to people with different alignments to make more sense, or if you can come up with a clever plot for two heroes fighting each other then go for it.

OK
the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Netiquette

the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Arctic_Vice

Netiquette is a strategist for the Justice Sup Forumsmrades.
Arctic Vice is the leader of the Vixen Six in all but name.

So it's a story about Netiquette digging into Vice past and how she came to be in that position.
Flip side of the story is from Vice perspective as she has to evade capture.

She gets caught, but then later her team mates break her out.
Depending on where she gets sent (we have a number of prison ideas which I hope someone recorded somewhere since the archive is being spotty and not saving entire threads anymore), that's an entire other story.

i got
the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Golden_Girl

and

the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Cheshire_Cat

We got Golden Girl, the sidekick with the comically large tits. and Cheshire Cat, some kinda fusion of Cheetah, Lex Luthor, and The Joker who is a intellect berserker.
i can only picture Cheshire moving into platinum city to start not only a new company but also a criminal empire.
she runs into golden girl and is able to see her giant knockers (She is part joker after all) and later finds out audrey & golden girl is one in the same due to seeing the same knockers on audrey

>prison ideas which I hope someone recorded

Turned up with a bit of searching:
>The Purgs
Government run, harsh, secure, but corrupt. The one most likely to abuse supercriminals and try to profit from them.
Handles supercriminals that can be allowed more freedom of movement, meaning their powers don't require a complex system to suppress, trusting that the extradimensional nature of the prison will prevent breakouts.

>The Helix
Operated by the Justice Coalition, and designed by Mighty Mantis. Each section is custom built to counteract the prisoner's abilities. Built in such a way that it's above ground, underground, and undersea at different levels.
Handles criminals that are too dangerous to keep outside of solitary confinement.

>The Satellite
A standalone landmass orbiting the Floating City, operated by the Justice Comrades. With no means of entrance or exit beyond designated shuttle travel, the Satellite's isolation is key to its security, being otherwise a low security facility. The Justice Comrades prioritize rehabilitation, and the Satellite's close proximity to Cove allows easy access to it by superheroes eager to work with the prisoners to try and turn their lives around, and even friends and family members of prisoners with visitation privileges.
Handles supercriminals believed to be of low danger to society, even if their powers are significant. Being as the staff is primarily superpowered, and the largest superhuman community on Earth (or just slightly above Earth, technically) is nearby, it's believed any possible outbreak can be suitably dealt with.

>The Sand Castle
Situated south of the border, and operated by Mexican officials. Held in dubious regard, and home to many supercriminals who fled the US. Due to lax regulations on the study of superpowers, dark tales about the goings on of the prison have attracted many a sort of "specialist" to examine the prisoners at their leisure. Even the great Mandy Korr is known to have visited.

...

the only good parts of that were the lewd nun and the girl who thought she was in lord of the rings

>The Satellite
A story about how Netiquette is the warden there and the other members of the Vixen Six recruit Chicken Divine and someone else to help bust out Arctic Vice would be interesting.

Even more so if they actually do all get caught in the process and don't escape via prison break since for once I want heroes to actually have someplace to put villains where they can't just waltz out like there's a revolving door.

They'd have to get released to help fight some other threat and then escape during that conflict.

>Very cute Motion.

Almost too cute for lewd thoughts.

almost

Makes me imagine Motion getting into a fight with VFT.

Hey guys it's the rage racer plot guy (rage fag?)

I'll be honest I've been kind of busy due to college and haven't had enough time to finish a clean script. I do however have the general idea of how the origin will play out. However with spring break coming up I'll be able to work on it a lot more.

So if anyone cares maybe there can be some RR discussion.

How does Rage Racers voice his frustration over having powers that can kill him every time he uses them?

What convinces him to be a force (of rage) for good?

Well voicing his opinion is about what you would expect (ARE FUCKING KIDDING ME HELPING PEOPLE KILLS ME? FUUUUUUU- *zooms off*)

But other anons suggest that RR might be an Exemplar so I guess maybe it's a decision of saving the day and maybe dying or not saving the day and most assuredly violently exploding.

Man, RR is kind of screwed either way.

Being a FJC must come with some kind of perks.

Was about to pop-in and give kudos to that lovely Motion, but others already did. Was going to ask for the artist, too.

Well maybe one of the inventors in the Sup Forumsalition can give him an apparatus or maybe he can develop an immunity to stress related damage ( ala all star superman)

The Justice Coalition (JC) is a different organization than the Justice Sup Forumsmrades (J/co/).

The JC are Earth bound supers.
The J/co/ are defenders of the floating city since that attracts way more weirdness on average than any ground based city.

The Friends of the Justice Sup Forumsmrades (FJC) are like reserves, but they also get access to an extensive help group when they need assistance.

At one point we talked about something like a hero license or how hero groups exist to lessen hero deaths, but that didn't really go anywhere.

I think in-universe a hero's odds of surviving and doing well go up if they manage to join the JC or the J/co/ since then they get training, "hero insurance" and other stuff they wouldn't have on their own.

You know, all that stuff that would happen, but isn't as interesting as the hero punching the villain or the monster attacking the city so it never really gets shown.

Well shit, that sunk fast.

the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Cobalt
the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Mend

Hrm. Not sure how this would play out.

Kissing stumps doesn't regrow limbs?

>girl who thought she was in lord of the rings
How did that one go again?

The only way I can think of those two fighting is Amami having an existential crisis that maybe Mend could heal her and lashes out. Or Mend knows of her legs and pushes her offer to far just really wanting to help.

Try a villian for Cobalt and Mend to fight against.

Been thinking about my idea for Tennoc, Quaslan, and their Dadverlord. Not sure if anyone is interested, but here goes.
-

The Blang Dynasty

Pirate Lord Blang was once a name feared across the galaxy, associated with power and cunning. As enigmatic as he was terrifying, Blang conquered planets and unified dozens of pirate clans under his banner. If his enemies resisted, he gave them his fury. If they served, he gave them his favour. In the end, he morphed what was once a chaotic assortment of thieves, deserters, and cut-throats into a controlled pirate empire.

At some point in his campaign, he met a woman. The details of this relationship are fuzzy at best, because he has since made sure to purge everything except for his private records. All that anyone knows now is that he's old, reflective, and has two grown twin children with no present mother. After years of half-hearted conquests, Blang has made it known that he wants to retire, leaving his empire to a worthy successor. When he appears now, he's always cloaked in shadow.

(cont)

His twin children, Tennoc and Quaslan, both believe themselves to be the obvious choice, and each one tries to prove their worthiness over the other in a near constant battle for approval. As a result, the empire has unofficially split into two factions with leaders playing against themselves as much as each other.

Tennoc's way of ruling revolves around charming his enemies and setting up the perfect dramatic circumstance. He wants to duel, one-on-one, no tricks, on top of a crashing ship, or swing from ropes through windows. He's fixated on the romanticised vision of being a dashing pirate lord, and this often gets in the way of actually being successful at his primary goals. On the bright side, he's good at planning, duelling, and being a father to his men when he's not being insufferably theatrical.

(cont)

Quaslan's focus is instead on the stories of her father as a ruthless conqueror, feared throughout the systems. She'll crack any man, woman, or planet who gets in her way, and will happily shoot a man in the face if he annoys her. Unfortunately, she has a habit of sabotaging herself with impatience and violence, and striking fear into her own men and messengers. Of the two, she has a much greater tendency toward grudges. She wants to be feared, not loved.

Each one has a part of what made Blang's campaigns so successful, but neither have proved worthy enough so far to have the whole package, and only their dad can ever smack any sense into them when they go overboard.

That's it. Any thoughts?

Goddamn that's some cute shit

They'll never realize that they would work better together, will they? They really do seem to be incredibly stubborn people in regards to this sort of thing, I feel kind of bad for the Blang.

I imagine working together happens only reluctantly, either when forced by daddy or by some outside issue. They both think the other sibling is "missing the point", I think.

maybe there is a unknown factor for exemplars since magical bullshit is hard to define and harder to make a catch all recovery program for.

plus it's understandable for them not making RR an official member. the second someone tries to get him alone for an interview while he's still powered up he would have parents protesting for the entire coalition shutdown.

They've got skill sets that complete each other so perfectly, but they're too busy being spoiled children well into adulthood to actually do anything with that. They just seem like awful people and that's always pretty interesting.

*comrades, justice comrades, goddammit.

I like to think of them as antagonistic foils. But yes, they're pretty terrible in their own ways.

Quaslan's the cooler twin.

I like it. Another space empire is good for the space setting since before this the only evil space emperor is Nyxiontus.

I'm regretting now I didn't save what little discussion we had about him since the search function of the archives is borked right now.

He's a space emperor in the more "a god I am" way since he is physically powerful. Enough so to solo fleets and still hold his own against the PKs (space cops) who took down most of the other evil space empires in the area by now.

Has some sense of "honor" in that he'll let people live if they put up a good enough fight or an interesting enough show.
That's how Omeggis (Captain Stocking Arms) managed to reclaim his people's Star Titan from him.

If Nyxiontus ever learns that Omeggis was banished from his home world for something as petty as poor fashion sense, he'd probably blow up the planet out of disgust.

Different flavours of space empires is always good. Nyx seems more like the more powerful budding god-emperor type than Blang's pirate lord type, though both seem fairly reasonable and willing to show mercy under specific situations, and ruthless when they need to be, am I right?

Now, as for the kids... Yeah. Quaslan is a bit of the "honour's for losers" type, but she's effective if you need something destroyed. Tennoc is too gentlemanly to forget his honour.

I think I've seen something about this before, but does the /coc/ universe have any rules about or people overseeing time travel?

We don't have any time guys specifically, but I think that falls under The Sup Forumssmic Ones' jurisdiction.
Probably The Archivist.

It's the sort of stuff I'd rather add to the wiki sooner than later less we end up with another "archive is broken and we suddenly want to talk about this again" situation.

The PKs also need to get added.
The space cops (think something like Green Lanterns or Nova Corps.) have racers from all planets they protect. In some sectors they're noble good guys, in other sectors they're like a mafia.

We never did come up with a good name for these guys.

"Galactic Peace Keepers" was only ever a placeholder name, but then no one ever came up with a proper one.

What sort of theme would the name have? Defenderly or more military?

More defenderly. They came about as a coalition between many alien species against a common enemy. Not any space emperor or pirate fleet, but a race of technologically advanced things that went around uplifting an modifying species.

They won, but maintained a huge prejudice against biological engineering.
There's some conflict within their own ranks about what counts are good and bad on the subject.

Maybe that crystalline element to the design could be part of the name.

That's actually an energy thing.

Part of the whole system that lets them not die in the void of space.

I can't think of any name light/guidance/defender-based that doesn't end up basically being a green lantern

bump

This thread brought to you by Rage Racer and Cosmic Adventures.

I like cosmic adventures.

And I like Rage Racer.

RR space adventure, how does that play out?

Now imagining them being paired up together as a team, like Batgirl and Supergirl.

More like Supergirl with Harley.

Here's hoping the thread makes it through the night since Sup Forums was moving super fast through a lot of today.

Yeah, the board has been wild today. What's up with that?

If this still doesn't have a name what about 'Vanguards of the Void'

Samurai Jack

>Vanguards of the Void
That's actually pretty good

bump so the thread could last

I have a feeling he might be a little miffed.

...

expanding the lore.

the internet

the next day, Cookie doesn't remember his dream from last night or if he had a dream at all. He sees Deelette who apparantly has been reading his comics for a while. Cookie starts with what he planned yesterday after reading all the detective comics, his first conclusion was, he needs to find clues, yet unlike the detectives in the comics who had informants everywhere, Cookie would just use the internet. H didn't know exactly what to search for though as he didn't even know how to write Deelette to begin with, also he doubted many people would know about her but he knew, he needed to collect as much information as possible, so after trying different versions of what he thought her name was written, he tried to describe her. What stand out the most was her tentacles instead of hair but that wasn't enough as it seems, there are thousands of results, working through this would take too much time , this is something that is mentioned but almost never shown in comics. After hours of surfing and bookmarking, looking through all the results, Cookie felt like he got close but never close enough, some results seemed to fit but at the same time not exactly. There was only one result he was okay with, a short story in a children's tales series "the octopus girl", he found similar stories of mysterious girls with tentacle hair but the cover is something that gives him confidence, atleast a little, this could really be his first real clue.

I'll thinking about a sketch for the cover.

Basically the daughter of Asian immigrants who found solace in the modern world in imagining that she could be part of the age of Epic* Heroes of days gone by. Not quite the murder-hobo "fuck yeah I love fighting", but more of "standing on a craggy outcrop and playing a traditional song on a flute as the wind billows her cape."

She wanted to basically live a Romantic painting.

*in the traditional sense of the word

So she posts on /his/ in the "NORMANS GET OUT REEEE" Anglo-Saxon threads?

Can rage let you breathe in space?

If it can make the punisher fly, it can make a man breathe in space.

the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/DANDAR_DRAGON-DRAGON_OF_THE_DRAGON-DRAGON_CLAN
the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Voodini,_The_Voodoo_Stage_Magician

The Dwarf-Fighter is pestered by the Mahician-Wizard to enact a challenge that wizardry is better than martial skill. DANDAR is just tired of Voodini's crap a d ignores him the entire day. When Voodini gets s hand on DANDAR'S shoulder for attention, he begins to beat the living snot out of him. Then Voodini manages to teleport away in a purple cloud of smoke but you can hear him sniffling behind am alleyway a couple yards away.

Attempted pixie dust robbery is also a possibility.

Was going to try The Helix but The Sandcastle was quicker and easier. It's Got a sort of Mexican Alcatraz feel about it but maybe that's just because it's an island prison.

works for the red lanterns

I wonder if the warden can control sand.

Bump

Yeah, that.

Well, they also have forcefields.

...

Things I should probably add to the wiki while I still remember and before my brain shuts down from lack of sleep.

Add
-Nyxiontus
-Galactic Peace Keepers
-The Blang Dynasty

Any requests that you think might catch my attention?

Just know I never finish anything so lower those expectations.

I've thought for a little while now it'd be neat if Alistair Greene (botanist) met some of those jungle fairies while on an expedition.

Tats with her "I'm crashing at someone's house tonight and I don't want to let them know" pack.

Motion? I think I've seen like 1 Motion from you.

I'd love to see what you do with Shade's design/powers.

Conrad's changed the locks so she just sleeps in his front garden like she's bushwacking.

Then his neighbours are like "This used to be a nice neighbourhood until Russians started squatting."

Maybe you'd like to take a shot at one or more of the modern day Demon Kings.

Just a warning I have been drinking so your expectations should lower about 25%.

I've drawn them a bunch I just don't think I have ever posted any of them. Though I probably told others not to post them and/or just straight up deleted them after I finished. I would say out of all of the Motion images I've done 75% are just straight up NSFW while the other 25% is either just a them alone or them fighting Indra. I made Indra and I still haven't drawn him in a year and a half.

I do remember I have a hard drive with all the lewd ones on there. If I ever feel good to post them, I will do so on /aco/

>If I ever feel good to post them, I will do so on /aco/

Now this is a future I can dream of.

Does every artist have a secret lewd hard drive? I feel like they do.

So when is the inevitable tournament arc?

Honestly when I was deleting everything, I forgot about what was on the hard drive. I was going to do it again but after looking at it and thinking, I started to feel that it was good quality and that you guys would appreciate it. So I'll definitely need to make a stop at the /aco/ thread and drop some sketches for y'all.

Also this Motion picture should have been done ages ago. I just keep getting distracted by my music so I keep grooving. I'll post the picture later and what I listened to while drawing and try to my abilities at the moment to tell you why I listened to it while drawing.

Probably never since no one in-universe would organize that shit.

>I just keep getting distracted by my music so I keep grooving
Groove away, my dude.

So one of my favorites to listen to when drawing Motion or Indra is the Second Son soundtrack.
youtube.com/watch?v=FwjedH9ws-Y
There are moments where I can see them fighting or doing whatever heroics need be to it.

Another that I'm still trying to capture for a story is
youtube.com/watch?v=3X4_2xPp04U
I can imagine them fighting Indra to this when he first gets an upgrade to his suit. Motion is protecting Ladybug from getting her tech stolen and doesn't back down and still puts up a hell of a fight. Ultimately I think that a veteran hero picks up on the commotion and intervenes which causes Phi and Mu to drag him off despite his want to fight Motion. I'm not much of a writer but I have something for him. Maybe someday I'll finally make a comic and you guys will have a lot to tell me to make it better. haha

I hate that after I post art is when I see the biggest mistakes. Oh well.

She looks hype as fuck. And it may be the fact that it's a sketch drawing, but she also looks like she's moving while standing still. Fitting for the character.

Happens to the best.

I want to do this one but I can find her on the conservatory. I'm drunk and dumb as hell but I am hype to draw her.

That's Shade. She's part of a villainous team called the Mean Teens originally put together by Stretcherous to help find her older sister. When Stretch finally found her sister and decided to quit being a villain, she attempted to disband the Mean Teens, but Shade took over and kicked Stretch out instead, becoming their new leader.

She can manipulate and solidify shadows.

If only there was a way for you and Imagined Shadow to chat it up since she's been working on a Motion comic and has posted a bunch of pages, WIPs, and plot outlines.

I really need to get that on the wiki already.

The other members of the Mean Teens:
Venus Fly Trap
That Guy
Melting Point
Bull-E

And their erstwhile leader, Stretcherous.

What was the individual data on Shade and Melting Point again?
Shade was some sort of military experiment?

I'm going to try getting this on the wiki already.

>Shade
I'm heartbroken, generally because the old "lore" on Shade is pretty much lost in the old archives, but really, and I don't know if anyone but me remember this, but there was this user that made a brand new take on Shade, and I loved it, but I can't really do it justice, since I'm sure there would be gaps in my re-telling, and now the new-ish archives are constantly having trouble.

Well if the archives would just fucking work right for 10 minutes I could probably find if it it's in there.

>This is just an example, maybe not even applicable, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. I've know a bunch of graffiti writers that knowledge the illegality of it all, but still won't get up on like someone's house, or a public school. Shit like that.

>So maybe she's got powers, didn't know what to do with them, went to see some heroes about it, but they were too uptight and boring for her liking. She instead goes to the other side, and sort of freelances for them. Most of them are more flexible, it's exiting, and there's even some dosh for her when the job's done. There's jobs she won't take, but most of the villains seem to like her, so they don't push the issue too much.

Work archive, WORK.

Is that it?
