There's a difference between inspiration and outright stealing ideas then claiming them as your own.
It's a beautiful clusterfuck. Nonetheless I was amazed at how much BR2049 seemed to have lifted from it. Holographic overlay onto a synthetic woman, mysterious character tending hydroponics in an abandoned building in the desert surrounded by giant female statues, etc. Even the protagonist being called "R" and hopelessly in love with an artificial woman...
