You might want to see Ridicule

watch the OSS 117 movies faggot

L'assault was pretty entertaining

>one of the best films you'll ever see

If you just want good films check out Mesrine, The Prophet, Secret Things (French: Choses secrètes), The Lost Son...

>French
>Ever

Wait slow the fuck down I didn't learn all this shit in class yet

Thank guys I am taking good note

The ones with Jean Dujardin? Yes. Although you might want to have subtitles for arab or have an arab friend translate for you.

I'd recommend Le Pacte des Loups from 2001 or Vidocq from 2001 also, two of the most recent french movies I like. If you don't mind older movies, check out movies made between the sixties and the nineties, truly a peak in french cinema. For exemple, the "Fantomas" trilogy with Louis de Funès, "Le Grand Blond avec une Chaussure Noire" (and it's sequel, "Le Retour du Grand Blond"), "La Septième Companie" trilogy. If you want more, care to tell us what kind of movie you like?

...

I don't get it, why would you learn French instead of something like, I don't know, Polish, or Russian, or Hungarian, or hell even Japanese if you think you have the slightest chance in the world of immigrating there.

I'm trying not to post old classics like 'La Règle du jeu' desu, How far do you wanna go back, op?

If you haven't seen 'Martyrs' yet then that should be high on the list. 'Tell No One' was a decent thriller. 'Loft' was good but Belgian iirc.

Any kino with Clara Morgane, you'll thank me later OP.

What if I want to immigrate to France or even Canada?

go watch Baxter

City of Lost Children
Delicatessen
Dante 01

fookin classics, all starring this fishman

>immigrate to France
We're fucking full!

tu est le mec le plus homosexuel que j'ai jamais recontré

It's Jean-Luc Godard's birthday next month, so be sure to watch some Jean-Luc Godard.

I'm about to watch
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bande_à_part_(film)
later today.

>american education
not op, but in the uk we have mandatory foreign languge lessons as part of the curriculum from ages 11-16. you choose either french, german, italian or spanish at 11yo and spend 5 years on it. knowing an extra language helps a lot when applying for jobs in banking, stock markets, advertising etc. and seeing as these 4 languages are the most popular in Europe they'll be a lot handier than learning something like Polish or Hungarian.

Ive seen Vidocq and I really liked it back then but Ill add the others to the list. I dont mind watching older movies but id rather start for more recent ones.
Not looking for any particular kind of movie, well maybe not biopics.
I had french lessons when I was in HS so I already have a base.Once I get a good level I will move to other languages, probably korean or Russian.
Martyrs sound very promising, as I said, I dont mind watching old movies but Id like to start with recent ones(maybe 10 or 20 years from now?)
I like what i see, any movie where she shows tits or feet?

Désolé

why do you fuckers just come here to drink to death? I've never seen that. It's like it's in your genes, you're literally just a well for alcohol.

Ce soir je serai la plus belle pour aller danser.

Cyrano de Bergerac
Amelie

Dinner Game
OSS 117

Also Jean de Florette, or literally anything with Gerard Depardieu

i was unaware that we did that kek

sobriété - c'est bof

>godard
Do not listen to those fags. Godard is commie-tier. Literally pseudo intellectual trash. Watch anything with JEAN GABIN and Bernard Blier, with dialogues written by Audiard (vid related)

Here we feel like we're being colonized by anglos (well, better than mudshits), they drink and walk in group and yell BUT they're nice. What I see is that wealthy anglos tend to show it far less than french bourgeoisie too, less pretentious.

Monsieur Lazhar

tous les matins du monde

the most touching film ever made

We brits are usually pretty humble and alcoholic given our poverty-stricken upbringings. You get the odd cunt like Paul Mcarthy walking around thinking he's jesus but most people I know treat being in the US like being on a party vacation.

>we feel like we're being colonized by anglos
you ARE anglos. don't kid yourself anglobro

>you ARE anglos. don't kid yourself anglobro
Wut? I was speaking as a french from north of France about the heavy british tourism we have here.

>as a french
Oh... kek, I thought you were an amerishart.

My apologies.

you dense fuck there are probably tens of other people who followed your own conversation better than you
i bet you've at least got some paddy blood in you

If you want ghetto kino watch “La Heine”

it's la HAINE (means hate). But no that's shit and propaganda. If you want a funny survival like flick, with french from the suburbs in the french countryside, you can try SHEITAN.

>Americans
>Anglo

tbf, no where in this post did you state you were actually French and/or living in France, nor did you in this one.

i won't insult you, you've insulted yourself.

That was not me.

>being this stupid

just watch le père noël est une ordure, les trois frères, la soupe aux choux and la chèvre
this is the comprehensive kino list
