Everybody knows that movie trilogies go 1 > 3 > 2

It's the reverse of vidya trilogies

It's a regular "And the adventure continues" ending. They did it in Part 1 and 3 so you knew that our heroes were safe and on the way to another adventure, one that, for the time being, you can imagine for yourself. I always liked those. Except when they happen in spooky movies. Then it's often a "Killer somehow isn't dead" ending.

Part 2 is set in 2015, my dude. That wasn't the past in the 80's, so they didn't take place there in their ENTIRETY.

I dont hate it. But...it's missing some of the magic of part 1 and the mindfuck of 2. They shouldnt have stayed only in 1885. I still like thw movie tho and mary steenburger is cute as fuck in it.

they called it "grunge." rock stars used to be weird and outrageous and fuck lots of hot women. then they just became mopey, depressed, married beta males.

The entire plot is dumb as fuck. Starting with Doc immediately coming for Marty's help for a situation that can be easily preventable.
Then there's the glaring fact that they basically ripped off scenes from 1 but made it futuristic, and that was bad enough, but then took it step further by making Marty literally go back to 1955 so we can watch the same scenes again except now its from a different perspective.
Honestly I thought it would be kinda interesting for Marty to explore the future, or that alternate timeline where Bif's rich. But then they made the mistake of overusing time travel.
3 had the right idea, it was set in somewhere completely different, and there was minimal amounts of references to the previous entries.

It's the weakest of the three by virtue of being the most gimmicky. It's too light hearted compared to the original and not serious enough like the second one. It's fine but it's just there.

I like all 3.

For me, personally, I do not like how they change Biff's character in the second movie.

In the first movie, in 1955, he sees that George is maybe interested in Elaine, so he gropes her in front of him. Total dick-move, but that's it. Then after Marty pisses on his tits several times, he catches Marty in a car with her, so he rips him out, throws him to his wolves and then starts raping her. Basically, in the first movie, 1955 Biff is a huge dickhead asshole. But that's it.

In Back to the Future 2, suddenly Biff has a crush on her too. He wanted her the whole time. He chases her down the street screaming that he's going to make her his wife. Suddenly Biff is a pathetic character JUST LIKE George.

Him being pathetic is fine. It was even already established in the first movie that he was petty and small. His avenue for being pathetic was to be a bully. But to have the entire trilogy hinge on two nodes of unrequited love in a double-unrequited love-triangle is dumb.

I liked all four of those ass cheeks.
