But the 3rd book is easily the weakest book so far.

I prefered the first season (up until the last 2 episodes over the 2nd season). It felt like they didn't have time to write a proper ending to season 1 then finished it half way through 2 and tacked on a half baked storyline with the token Asian guy.

Authors, it's two guys. The books are pretty good, definitely recommend. If you're really bothered by politics of an artist/author, etc. Just don't follow them on social media or whatever.

just check The Expanse wiki, this is all in the books, they story has a set path if they remain truthful to the books.
