With Hollywood currently devouring itself, is there any chance Youtube will rise up and become the dominant form of entertainment in America?
Pic related, it's popular youtuber RCLBeauty101

its already begun, hence the mass censorship taking place because the big corporations know tv and movies are dying.
the thing is, platforms like YT are successful because, barring some cancer content, it isn't the same stagnant, cut and dry trash on tv and film.
they're banking on it being the next tv
I've tried to read OP's post like 4 times now and I keep forgetting what it says for some reason...

Zero chance Youtube will ever be more than it is, mainly because the way you make money is making for 10 year olds.
haha happy birthday grandpa
Not sure, there are issues with Youtube, like
>many videos getting demonetized as soon as they're even a little bit risky
>the algorythm favoring content creators who make a lot of low effort videos rather than those who make a few really good videos
And the popular content itself
>music videos from large corporations
>vidya shit, which at this point feels like a pretty dry well
>movie and TV reviews
>a bunch of shit made by actual TV networks, whether they're there legally or not
>shitty comedy aimed at 14 year olds who like it because it's not mainstream
>meme compilations from other places
There's very little actual original content coming from youtube
I'm just waiting for the actual platform that will reward creativity and effort, maybe then TV can die. And no, that's not Netflix, that's just TV by another name.
>it isn't the same stagnant, cut and dry trash on tv and film
How isn't it? Can you point me to anyone doing something original (and ideally gaining success from it) on youtube in the last couple of years?
