Two men decide to create a theme park with robotic hosts that can interact with the guests. One of them realizes that they could be sentient, goes kinda nuts, and then uses the robots to kill himself in an attempt to get the part shut down. It doesn't work and his partner still opens the park.

Some guy who is marrying into a wealthy family is taken by his brother-in-law to Westworld as a way to get to know him better and see if he's got the guts to make it in their family. He then cheats emotionally on his fiance with a robot woman and realizing that she's not actually sentient decides to do away with emotion and fucks over everyone in his life to obsess over Westworld and eventually own part of it. Eventually this coldness and obsession drives his wife to suicide and his daughter to despise him. He comes back to Westworld to find a real challenge he believes is hidden there.

In Westworld a hidden subroutine that comes off as nothing more than a virus/glitch starts coming into focus, allowing the robots to act unpredictably. In actuality this is all planned out by the now-old partner in order to fully realize his dead comrade's dream. The robotic woman is key to all of this and if they can get her working because she's a smarter character than the park has. She goes off in search of something her hidden program tells her to look for.

Her robotic boyfriend gives chase and meets up with the Owner and this leads to a confrontation that turns out was all part of this new show they have planned. Until it turns out that THAT was actually just a ruse and the whole "get past the oppressive programming" aspect is still in full effect. Allowing the visiting guests now trapped with the robots who have broken down this barrier of theirs.

Also some plot about a prostitute robot trying to figure out if she should stay or leave depending on how she might feel about a possible programmed daughter.

two scientists (whoever hopkins played and brenard) create advanced human robot clones with a.i that are used as a play-thing for rich visitors in a western theme park. one of them (brenard) starts having moral regrets about how his creation is being used and decides to start a process that would make one of the A.I's self aware with the ultimate goal of destroying the park, while forcing the A.I to kill him. his partner (hopkins) finds out about his plans and decides foil them by taking complete control over the park, while manipulating management in order to execute his own plans. he also accomplishes this by creating a clone of his now dead partner that would serve a park staff member.
two major subplots are included, one in which a disillusioned visitor decides to become one of the owners of the park and explore it to it's fullest (the black man), and one in which one of the A.I robots (black lady slut) turns sentient and decides to run away.
the story hops between two major time periods, one is the story of the black man first visiting the park and becoming disillusioned, and current time where he is nearing the end of the park's exploration and where the black lady robot slut attempts to escape the park.
the season concludes with the black robot lady successfully escaping the park, and the robots becoming sentient and starting a rebellion vs their human owners.
