Legally, it can't be, since they don't own the character. Doesn't change the fact that it's totally the Empty Hand though.

The empty hand is the reader, and Multiversity makes it clear that he's a cross-company threat. Maybe they can't refer to it as the empty hand, but it would be completely in line with Morrison's idea of the character for him to attack every fictional universe.

We haven't even seen or heard the cosmic jailer yet, but it's amazing how effective he is as a villain. The cosmic horror imagery, the record scale of it, his creepy lackeys and the hatred and evil that is conveyed through the art and the writing, and the delicious buildup that makes it seem as if you should be afraid of knowing who it is. All of this makes the jailer seem so absolute and terrifying, and it was about time Marvel had a villain like that.

How violent was their coupling? Did they atleast invite Spider Woman for the double Marvel experience?

More likely Carol convinced Kamala to give her a double Jess experience.

I liked what Ellis did with her but Loeb and Bendis shat on the character and just made her into Sharon Carter.

Is Carol getting cosmic awareness at some point? She's Captain Marvel, she needs to have it.

I know Monica and what's his face didn't have it but she has Mar-vell's Kree genes so she should be able to do that, even use the nega bands.

Monica has cosmic awareness, it's been brought up a couple of times in ultimates2. In fact, she uses cosmic awareness as a replacement for her sensory organs, since she's made of pure light.

This just reminds me how badly I wish there was a "Major Marvel."

surely it's got to be Oblivion. for a while I thought it could be Reed, but he wouldn't be corrupting Galactus and then laughing about it.I would be pretty hype if it was Oblivion with poor Phyla-Vell as his chief minion. Make her a tragic villain, who's consumed with despair but has to obey her master.

Honestly, do you think Carol would really sell better if she had actually good books?
She has always been a somewhat obscure character and Marvel pushing her so much doesn't seem to work

Maybe Carol will try to pick up the new Quasar instead. She did see her slaughter a whole bunch of Skrull-cousins, after all.

It might be a little better but still skirting cancellation level. Good comics don't sell.

I only read CWII and the amazing captain marvel 0 that were storytimed here. What more can I read with Carol in it ? I see a lot of things posted here that I don't know like

I've always been a strong proponent of that theory and really hope that it plays out. A big high-stakes arc surrounding that character is well overdue.

Joseph Danvers was a bulky moustache wielding douchebag and he and Carol fought constantly. Her mudercarol tendencies and temperament are part of his legacy.

Issue 7 is the SE tie-in. That we're only getting one issue worth of tie-ins is shocking though.

They kept true to his characterization as an asshat, that's what matters.
#0 was 'aight overall. Pity #1 didn't deliver.

I got on Carol's Wild Ride with KSD's first volume (where she first changes the name/suit/hair) and am here now recc'ing shit. It's a good intro to the Captain Marvel brand itself IMO, lots of callbacks & lorediving. Don't quite get the hate surrounding it, that should be reserved for KSD's 2nd attempt.
Also seconding . Her comic's CWII tie-in arc was honestly pretty baller. The final issue especially; rife with memorable metatext moments.
