Whenever Rich portrays working class people, he puts on some weird accent. What type of accent is he trying to imitate? I've never heard before. Actually come to think of it so does Mike sometimes. I know that they came from Wisconsin, is that what they're working classes sound like?

what movie?

All Rich's accents are just Plinkett's voice.

It’s “funny”, you just don’t “get it”

It's the accent a person puts on when they want to change their voice but can't really do it.

In a few reviews, I've seen. I think most recently would be in the Justice League Half in the Bag one where he portrays the ice sculptor who's supposed to be a lower class guy, I guess? There are more but I can't think of any right now

It's an attempt to do a type of accent they have there in the Great Lakes area associated with "working Joe" types.

It's just some vague rust belt blue collar accent. They're all from that part of the country, so it's what they're familiar with

It's the typical rust belt blue collar guy accent. Ever been to Wisconsin?

So it is, isn't it? Actually almost sounds like one of those old timey American accents

Its reminiscent of a street peddler salesman trying to get kids to visit the carnival

Rich is working class.

Eh, what do I know? Just give me a container of coffee and I'm happy. Okay break time's over.

Well I'd take that over the Minnesota accent.

If you're sculpting ice, you're not low class. Or at least wouldn't think of yourself in such a way. Highly specific niche job where you can charge whatever you want. No one is going to hire a new york plumber type for a ice sculpting job.

Very bad form.

>tfw minnesotan
>everyone thinks our accent is the worst
>even us

Southside Chicago accent.

Mike and Rich grew up in Oak Forest, IL, middle class "white flight" Chicago suburb that is adjacent to the Southside Chicago, which is the grimy "stabby-shooty" part of Chicago that still has some white (trash) people in it.

East Coast still has you guys beat. On that, Mike occasionally makes fun of Jersey accents, or seems to.

At least east coast accent is relatively popular overseas

It was part of a joke. For reasons unspecified, the ice sculptor guy was portrayed as a working joe

Mr. Plinkett is supposedly from New Jersey.

Who cares though? Jersey, New York and Boston accents are some of the worst atrocities known to mankind.

So it's Lake humor?

you ever watch shit like Law and Order and sometimes they get a witness who is some joe schmoe from 35th street and they pull him off the work site for a few seconds and he gives them a rough description of the perp while wearing a white hard hat? they always have the same accent

fucking kek

>Jersey, New York
People distinguish those two? Isn't Jersey accent basically Bronx accent?

Leo got to fuck all these womennnnnnnnnn

And the working class is rich, touché.

Alright guys, time to suit up! Back to the worksite.

...

Its called a trans-atlantic accent or some variation of it in new york style like Al Capone
