Don't forget Konichan

Johnny Bravo in India.

>Oficial Matute
To this day I still dont understand why that shit was so liked down here.

Really? Is that why the Bollywood movie happened?

>Really? Is that why the Bollywood movie happened?
Exactly why.

he does gel niceley with bollywood tropes

russia and rescue rangers

Noice

Wasnt there a cult thing there?

You can thank Latin America for keeping this shitstain alive.

Shit like this makes me hate living here

When some Bolivian channel stopped showing Simpsons reruns young people there started a nation wide protest until they got their Simpsons back
Mat frowning should take a trip there, must be the only place left that cares about the Simpsons

I bet it totally coincides with how creepy indian men can be towards women.

Supposedly Kevin Spencer is really popular in Spain. It could be true, Spain loves the fuck out of Crayon Shin-Chan, which is almost as badly animated.

Isn't any Ben10, some of the most appreciated cartoons in Mexico?

Literally everywhere but America.

Almost a religion in Mexico and the rest of latin america.

I still choose to blame 4kids completely poisoning it here.
Oh well. Manga's better anyway.

The arabs fucking love it too.

Japan loves We Bare Bears

I guess someone has too.

Woody Woodpecker is insanely popular in Brazil. Don't even ask me why, it just is.
It was quite surprising to hear that the rest of the world didn't even care about it.

Know what else is big in Mexico?

KoF. I don't have a joke there. Sorry.

Of course Japan would, those stupid bears just scream HelloKitty-kawaii over there

ya es la hora?

Thanks Mai I discovered what Hentai was.
Thanks Mai.

Cow and Chicken became pretty popular in Brazil, more so than Ren & Stimpy.
Ren and Stimpy didn't really get much exposure here because it aired at late night Nickelodeon, at which point most kids would be asleep.
But Cow and Chicken had more frequent reruns at a much more accessible time period.

So the end result is that, here in Brazil, Cow and Chicken never had that stigma of being a Ren and Stimpy knock-off, because most people who watched it didn't know what Ren and Stimpy was in the first place.

>going for Goku Tacos when superior piccolo pizza its on the same block.

Garfield was pretty popular in Chile during the 90s because it was dubbed there. They even got buttmad when the CGI movies had mexican dub instead of chilean dub.

You and millions of kids(including myself)
She is great.

I have a soft spot for almost all old-timey animation. even the cheapest hannah barbera one.

except that little annoying motherfucker.

mexico loves it more than ren & stimpy too

Cause of that dub I didnt knew Nermal was supposed to be a dude until I grew up.

don't know how popular it is, but back around 2006 a rich Chinese guy had me go to mexico to buy some Memín, and some other very racist comic books. He got enough to resell

He was like "haha don't you think these comics making fun of black people are so funny! youre so lucky you get to read these every month" , told him some thing like "ehh theyre kinda racist". he looked at me as if that was the first time he heard anyone vaguely defended a black person

Nermal was a dude?

Dont they also like Gumball? and South Park

Yes. They use masculine pronouns when referring to the character.

Yes.
Now I imagine all those poor fucks whose first cartoon crush was him.

> Memín racist
pls user lets stop this meme, he is the mc of his book he migth have exagerated proportions but it doest have the intension of hurt your modern sensibilities

South Park used to be huge, but it's kinda fallen out of favour lately.

Every episode is only about stuff happening in America that day.

chile had a lot of nice dubs back in the 90's

>he migth have exagerated proportions but it doest have the intension of hurt your modern sensibilities
Did you have a stroke? Should I call someone?

Their Detective Conan dub is pretty good.

>Memin
>Racist

Fucking white people

He's less annoying in the Brazilian dub, which makes him more tolerable.
Honestly it's not like Woody Woodpecker is an underrated comedic masterpiece it was just somehow more popular in Brazil than even the Looney Tunes. Every kid watched it. Everyone remembers certain moments and characters and that stupid laugh.
It's mostly because of reruns (it still gets reruns to this day).

Americans will call racist this.

>Or they will get offended by this.

Or this.

>mexicans are doing a Condorito movie
>it's already shit
Now I understand why Trump is building a wall.

I genuinely don't get the appeal of OP.

Mexicans have good taste. KoF has always been a fun series.

Leona Heidern best girl.

All three parts were a big hits here in Russia and everybody i know love it. A was suprised when i found westerners consider it mediocre.

Fuck that every know that the Gogeta quesadillas are where its at

but user
the quesadillas have cheese?

>There was a chilean dub for Collision Course
>All those national "artists" thinking they were funny voice actors
>Fucking German Garmendia

well that explains damn near every DBZ fan I've met being Mexican

It's a fun adventure with cool powers.

Of course it has cheese if it didn't have cheese it'd be a taco

And everyone hated that dub.

>mexicans are doing a Condorito movie.
""Source""?

I think it's popular in South America too.
I'm from Brazil and I love it and everyone I know loves it too

youtube.com/watch?v=DhGn5AXA1SM

For some unholy reason this was played nonstop in England when I was a lad.

youtube.com/watch?v=f6hxpdJMkq8

>mis lados

EL FAMOSO DETECTIVE CARLOS GUZMAN!
And all those fuckers whose last name started with Lope- for some reason

Can they even pronounce his name there? What is he called in Portuguese?

Chilean dub is using the japanese names.

Mexican here, can confirm La Vaca y el Pollito were pretty fucking popular here, also Soyla Comadreja and Jaimico

>I genuinely don't get the appeal of OP.

It's got the best waifus in all of anime.

DBZ and Chavo del ocho are both religion tier

>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de papa
>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de rajas
>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de tinga
>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de picadillo
>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de pancita
>he hasn't eaten a quesadilla de longaniza

Hold on, who made the original dub then?

the chinese guy was SPECIFICALLY choosing those comics because of their racist stereotyping. It was not me or "americans" deeming it racist, it was the buyer

si

Mexicans? I think it was some studio in Miami.

Pica Pau, which literally means woodpecker.
Literally only people who speak english calls him woody.

>What is he called in Portuguese?
Pica-pau
fun fact, "pica" is sometimes used as a slang for dick/penis while "pau" is wood

I never found Oda's art style to be all that appealing and he never draws women with any ass anyway.

>Go to mexico
>Suggest that superman can beat Goku
>Get shot

>get shot
>not beheaded by the zetas

>Go to Mexico
>Get shot

cmon user honestly who wouldn want to shot you

Then your chinese overlord was the one that pick them for the wrong reasons.

Still, there is nothing racism about these comics.

same thing with saint seiya
they even get the ps3 games

The Phantom is the most popular costumed hero in the world, but not America. Scandanavia and Australia are standouts - one report estimated Australian sales of The Phantom at ten times the amounts of the top-selling Marvel and DC comics.

how do I shot user

He's got 2 right hands

Oh user, you sure have your way with words.

>El fantasma que camina

He is called Pica-Pau. It just means woodpecker.
They also changed the names of most characters per usual.
The vulture guy that was called Buzz Buzzard became Zeca Urubu.
The walrus named Wally Walrus became Leonçio.
And so on.

This scene in particular is a very popular meme

i dont remeber were i saw it but there are some natives that use the phantom as a simbol in their shilds also he is the reason he is the reason why super heroes have white eyes since he was the first one who have them

>Shooting to the gringos.
For what purpose? A kidnapping left you more money.

>kidnap a gringo
>call their family for ransom
>nobody in the gang speaks english
fuck

Anecdotal and personal, but Steve Blum once told a con panel I attended that he constantly gets questions or references to Digimon Tamers in Canada, and it's as if it's disappeared from memory everywhere else in the West.

Honestly Jojo would do it great in Latin america.

Oh well, anecdotal also but me and my brazillian friends liked it. I recall it getting reruns on decent times, so maybe it was kinda popular. Definitely not huge, but far from disappearing from memory.

It's already popular in Latin America.

...

It does.

>Search for a classic party song of my country in YouTube
>See a shitload of Jojo comments
>Turns out using said song became a meme between latin fans of Jojo

youtube.com/watch?v=N3wHKgTMiwk

Yeah, but i mean more like if it was a regular tv show, like Dragon ball or Caballeros del zodiaco at their time.

Some shitty show in Panama did their own version of Great Days.
