>Avengers 1 >Alien Invasion in the heart of NYC. >Barely any US military presence. >Just a few infantry and humvees
>Avengers 2 >Zero military presence
>Avengers Infinity war >Another massive alien invasion >No US military being mobilizied, or fighting back against foreign invaders >Literal kangs just charging straight into enemy with no air or armor support
Why is this? At least Transformers and MoS was somewhat realistic for having the US military actually reacting and engaging to said hostiles. Hell even Transformers age of Extinction showed the Chinese military engaging the Decepticons when they showed up on their turf. Do you think Infinity war will actually show some real world military action?

>>Avengers 2 >>Zero military presence You think a shithole like Sokovia would have a capable military?
Carson Diaz
>>Barely any US military presence nigga the US military almost nuked NYC
Austin Hernandez
in retrospect that was one of the cooler aspects of the bayformers was that the decepticons were having to fight the military and they would adapt themselves to it.
Nathaniel Miller
>should we get out US military to sacrifice themselves against technologically advanced aliens? >how about lets just get these group of super heroes with powers in the frontline while our men evacuate the civilians
Adam Martin
It's a campy superhero movie. Don't read into it.
Evan Torres
There's never any time to mobilize a force. Try sending forty thousand soldiers to Africa, New York or Eastern Europe in a day. The most you'd get is aircraft.
Grayson Martin
They weren't a part of the EU?
Kevin Barnes
Thanos teleports to Earth with two infinity gems already collected in Avengers 3. There would be no time to react or even defend against something like that.
Carson Gutierrez
Because the US military refused to participate in the Marvel movies due to the entirety of SHIELD making no sense. No, seriously, that's the actual reason.
Ian Scott
People want to see superheroes in superhero movies not the military
Landon Walker
(((HOLLYWOOD)))
Julian Smith
funnily enough in the MCU canon the US has been developing weapons to fight off alien invasion since the first Thor movie, yet they haven't seemed to get any good at it
i agree that DC did this way better in MoS with the military reacting to both Superman and Zod, and in BvS with people actively searching for ways to defend humanity from things like Superman
William Miller
THIS and SHIELD looks like a fucking nobody organization half the time; when its Captain America, it looks like HUGE ORGANIZATION WE'RE SUPER SECRET then its the TV show or other movies; barely fucking anyone, minimally staffed generic retards
it keeps bouncing between these aspects and I think SHIELD is a fucking joke, especially post-HYDRA now in this MCU they just need to retire SHIELD or some shit
John Bailey
No they were clearly part of the Putin Empire
Eli Perry
IRL this is exactly what happened on 9/11 so not that unrealistic.
Charles Sullivan
Is this what you autists do all day? Sit around and think about the semantics of childrens movies?
What a sad life

I rewatched avengers 1 and its actually, genuinely the shittest film in the entirety of the MCU. Whedon is a fucking hack and limiting his input in Avengers 2 and dropping him was the best thing marvel ever did.
Aiden Morris
The enemies in that movie weren't even that tough. The military definitely could have handled them, but the problem would be getting ground forces there quick enough. It would be pretty difficult. But there should have been fast movers swarming the area by the end of that battle. They probably could have taken down those giant party slugs pretty easily with some shaped charge missiles.
Luke Walker
>daily reminder that the alien invasion movie that Sup Forums shits all over had the best depiction of military responce to aliens
