Why do feminists want to position themselves as enemies of art?
> misogynistic
Seething.
Why do you keep on saying this in every thread?
>Iron Fist is also on the list
Well now i know what (((inspired))) this list
Is Lynch a footfag?
>no kino sole shots of laura, audrey, donna, etc.
i think not
that scene got me tho

I love it.

Opinion discarded
The last two episodes of TP3 are among Lynch's best work. It is very hard to produce that kind of unsettling, nauseating feeling. Like your wasted youth tugging at your sleeve when you think the dirt on the grave is heavy enough.
>misogynistic
That's when I know I can safely ignore any opinion this person might have.
The more people hate it, the more I love the third season--for me the best single season of any tv show. Only Mad Men season 5 and maybe Sopranos 6b are up there.
Lynch had talent once but he has become a pretentious phony. Happens to the best of us.
>The last two episodes of TP3 are among Lynch's best work
FUCK OFF. Christ, you're like the worst shill ever aside from your relentless posting habits.
S3 is by far Lynch's best work.

Can you repeat that? The branch is creaking, I did not hear you properly.
I didn't even need to read the blurb, that bitch was going to complain about misogyny.
Its like clockwork, someone has a movie/show wit a girl getting hit and immediately someone sees it and thinks its for kicks and giggles. They never actually think about WHY its happening.

>Can't remove that Marvel-tier scene from my mind
I agree. The third series was in a certain way funny for its very beautiful aestetics, ideas, hidden links, promising and intriguing plot and subplot, but in the concrete totally pointless and to the limit of being unwatchable on the whole.
It was intended to be so but it wasn't a smart choice.
People still praise it because it's made by Lynch, master of craziness. If it was made in the same exact way by someone else it would have 999999,99999999999% negative reviews.
it was ironic you retard
I think it was purposefully "marvel-tier" giving the dumb fans who wanted a good vs evil show down with a climactic battle, then not minutes after it, ripping it away in one of the most horrific ways.
PERSON HAS OPINIONS
yes. its like conscious synthesis of all his previous work. it couldn't have been done properly in 8 episodes, it would have felt cheap like a rushed "' top 10 lynchean tidbits" then pushed the exit door asap to create a perfect netflix paté made to consume fast , forget, poop, repeat with the next one.
honestly could have done with out the retardo tulpa plot, that felt like it dragged on and on.
but i did enjoy it regardless of that.
different feel, but it would have been impossible to get the same feel as S1.
Damn, guess I hate Twin Peaks now
man, this listicle sure showed him
basically spot on desu
>featuring zero emotional stakes
What about the final sequence of ep17? When Laura and Cooper finally meet while Laura Palmer's Theme plays, that almost made me cry.
if this is what Lynch's shit tastes like he can take a dump in my mouth anytime desu
Why isn't 13 Reasons Why on the list?
>The 5th worst show on television is literally better than every single film released in 2017
FILM BTFO
>misogynistic
Lynch confirmed for /ourguy/ and his films confirmed for antisoy.
>the "FWWM was a different franchise" argument
I hate normies so much.
There are two episodes in this series that are legitimately the GOAT episodes for ANY TV SHOW EVER. That is worthy of something.
Why is it that the detractors call the people who liked season 3 angry when the people who liked season 3 are actually satisfied and the detractors themselves are clearly angry?
I mostly agree.
Could've easily cut 8 episodes or so. It was just a massive fucking waste of time. This is why you don't give someone like Lynch complete creative freedom.
Totally accurate, this show is disgusting alt-right wank material
Brilliant piece: huffingtonpost.com
>I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention how all the trolling and harassment I’ve received on account of my Twin Peaks writings over the course of this summer has affected my ability to enjoy the show and community. Having to deal with literally hundreds of rape apologists, sexists, misogynists, and proud racists in the Twin Peaks community has been sickening. I’d be lying if I said that these awful encounters didn’t skew my perspective more than a little.
>In the end, this return to Twin Peaks has ended up more a bitter disappointment than the bittersweet I had expected.
>I’ve been hearing chatter about a potential Twin Peaks Season 4. Lynch himself said he would not be opposed, but that it would take him years. Well, if it does happen, I hope next time Lynch will look outside himself for consultants so he doesn’t make all the same tone deaf racist, sexist, and culturally appropriative mistakes again. I hope he’s heard us fans of color and the LGBTQIA community, and our concerns about diversity and representation, most especially now that Twin Peaks has become a time travel and alternate universe narrative as opposed to the exposing of suburban white violence that made it so trailblazing and iconic to begin with. I also hope Lynch would be willing to tie up more of the old and new loose ends he’s left ratty out in the rain for too long. I would really love to have some positive things to say about Twin Peaks in the future. Because right now, the negatives are way in the lead.
Even better.
There are 18 that are legitimately GOAT.

Bait isn't usually this funny right out of the gate.
Literally how poor of taste do you have to have to not enjoy the revival
This is why Lynch is the greatest living film artist
>this silly nigger thought Twin Peaks was about "white savagery"
I'm dying.

The Return is truly the ultimate pleb filter.
The Great Lynching was something to be admired.

You think I'm baiting you piece of sh*t? This show attracts LITERAL
NAZIS
Why do you think there are so many gravitating towards it? Why do you act like this sh*t is okay?
"Emotional stakes" is soyspeak for "references and fan pandering".
>He is a big "Seinfeld" fan
Only acceptable instance of braaaapposting.
if you dont like season 3 you probably dont like fire walk with me and if you didn't like that you're a smelly dumb dumb
Lol which one of you tards harassed her?
Is there a general consensus that the Dougie character outstayed his welcome? I would have cooper back about 5 episodes sooner.

jesus christ every single article, not one scene is described, not one verbatim line is quoted from the show, nothing. You could replace every instance of "Twin Peaks" and "David Lynch" in this article with literally any other series and director and it would have the exact same amount of analytical validity and substance
There was some nice shoeplay with Diane and Janey-E.
I tend to believe that modern rag critics don't even bother watching half the shows they write about and only judge it on twitter reactions from the people they follow, to save time.
I'm so glad this walking MDE sketch has a vote that counts every bit as much as mine
How does that excuse it's shttiness in any way? Think with your brain for one fucking second, brainlet.
>misogynistic
not an argument
Nah, it was perfect imo. When cooper came back he knew exactly what to do to resolve his doppleganger– had he returned 5 eipsodes earlier the series would be 5 episodes shorter.
Plus, it gave dougie to have a fully developed and nuanced arc, it was honestly the best part of the series. I think if it had been shorter the character wouldn't have grown on me and I would've felt like dougie was a complete waste of time
She looks like she should be cleaning hotel rooms.
not a criticism
>How does that excuse it's shttiness in any way?
This kind of blind autism is why /film/ needs a strict set of janitors who won't tolerate it.
I look forward to it getting cancelled.
At the end Lynch Lynched himself. Fucking meta brilliance.
Absolutely seething.
He was welcome after a couple of episodes, then he overstayed it, then a couple of episodes later he was best character.
On second viewing he was more than welcome in every frame.
>I look forward to it getting cancelled.
The season is over, user. Lynch is only going with a "never say never" attitude, and Showtime is eager to work with Lynch again no matter what he does.
Perhaps, I just wanted to see more Cooper
at least some Cooper - Audrey interaction.
also Cooper and the new Sheriff and Hawk could have more time together woulda been nice, more haunted Woods and spooky owls
>And
>You think I'm baiting you piece of sh*t? This show attracts LITERAL NAZIS
I'm a literal Nazi and I love Twin Peaks. It isn't for any political reasons. I don't know why I love it but I do.
>“When you became Denise, I told all of your colleagues, those clown comics, to fix their hearts or die.”
Yep sounds like Lynch is alt right to me.
His various looks of extreme distaste in various aspects of Denise canceled that line out. Cole clearly didn't want the director of the FBI fucking with his case or his cute new agent, and knew exactly how to kiss Denise's ass.
Denise was and always will be a caricature of trans culture.
I know what you mean, the climax of episode 17 really felt so underwhelming on the first watch, it really sucked that Cooper had such a brief reunion with the characters from the original series. I don't think it was a bad choice to do it that way though– Lynch knows that revivals never live up to expectation, especially when so much from the original series was still at stake. Paired with E18, however, I think it's honestly the best way he could've handled it– it forces the audience to accept that the ideal in our heads is such overblown fantasy (like the bob orb anime battle) that the reality is all the more soul-crushing.
>critic is Michael Ausiello
>known for playing “Guy Eating Salad in Stairwell” on Gilmore Girls
Lol lol lol
Nah. In fairness I did see one shot where the camera followed FBI agent Tammy Preston's ass. That's apparently the 'male gaze' according to some critics. Only problem was, it was clearly meant to be following Albert and Cole's eyeline. Both characters were clearly staring at her ass in the reverse shot. It wasn't a Michael Bay shot where the chick is introduced with a closeup of her ass or whatever. It was a literal communication of what the characters were looking at.
Also, that was ONE shot in an entire 18 fucking hours of pure Lynch.
Definitely. While Dougie was enjoyable to watch and sometimes the scenes were hilarious (the dinner with the Mitchum brothers), he was also the biggest pleb filter Lynch could think of.For 16 episodes it was like watching a badly made comedy about some retard who magically overcomes obstacles through sheer dumb luck. It had nothing to do with Twin Peaks or even Dale Cooper, it was just some type of "Three Stooges" comedy, only in this one it was one stooge and he was a good guy.
that's been movie critics since forever, siskel and ebert would sometimes leave after watching 10 minutes and then report on what other people in the theatre said
> a zombie faerie tale set in Prague.
no
they can fuck right off with that anyway
cameras are allowed to looks at nice female asses. they can look at nice male asses too for all I care.
I wouldn't put that past Ebert for five seconds.
In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he walked out of Blue Velvet the second he realized that Frank was gonna lay a hand on Dorothy.
It was the scenes with evil cooper and the girl in OP pic that caused a problem
and badboy Richard horn beating his Granny and that chubby lady
I would counter that with, yes these people are nasty fuckers to women cause thats the type of people they are, you are meant to dislike them intensely.
And you'd be right to.
Any critic who judges an author by the views of his characters, especially if those characters are antagonists, has no fucking business in front of any form of writing implement.
What the fuck is wrong with womyn
actress's name?
Anti lynchers don't know the more razzies he gets the prouder his fans become
Lynch is obviously a smoking fetishist
We recognize fellow connoisseurs
Really?
Wasn't the entire original show based on a fucking girl getting raped and murdered? Never fucking mind then. These people are morons.
Also of note, actual rape victims love FWWM and consider the film a coping mechanism.
