I don't remember it ever being marketed in any way when it came out
It was decent flick anyway, worse than the first one obviously but still enjoyable
>I don't remember it ever being marketed in any way when it came out
This. Also, it took way too long for it to come out. I was excited for the sequel when it was announced, but then after years of nothing I stopped caring.
I've had it on my DVR for months and haven't watched it yet
It came out too long after the first one. Everyone list interest after.
>Eva Greens tits
i also watched pic related
I saw it opening day in theaters and it was dead empty. Great film
Too much focus on Marv, and somehow they made him go way too Marv.
I think that movie is awesome. Every else on earth seems to hate it for some reason.
Came out way too fucking late. I was a huge fan of the first and stopped caring about a sequel around 2009 or 2010.
>the hookers walk the street with corns on their feet
I watched it, but for the life of me I can't remember a thing about it.
Because it like the first are fucking hot garbage
the detective was unkillable and eva mendes is hot
Same with this
I remember people jumping down silly heights into battle and lots of ships colliding
and a vague memory of black people turning up
> and who is the architect of this mad strategy
also:
> eva greens tits
cause it fucking sucked. i was very close to walking out of the theater during it.
I liked both of these but honestly they couldn't stack up to the first. Sin City Dame to Kill For has massive continuity problems with the original and it's just off. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Levitt's storyline was because it wasn't based on something from the comics.
I saw Rise of an Empire with my mom in theaters.
Came out too late to build on the originals hype. Came out too early for the original to become nostalgic/reevaluated/reach classic status.
it was too little and it was way too late
Heard from someone that their theater was empty on opening night. You'd think it would've at least gotten some kind of turnout then.
this have had it on my hd since it came out still haven't watched
302 was fun. I liked it.
I don’t understand why it wasn’t marketed though??
That cast list alone should have been good for $100M in box office at least
Most of those names are actually B-List though. Alba stopped being relevant around 2008 otherwise she would still be considered A list along with Bruce Willis
I saw both of these in the same couple of days as a fan of the first movies and wow were these sequels absolute shit
Because the first Sin City was a fantasticly made film and A Dame to Kill For was trash.
Such a shame.
TOOK TOO LONG TO PUSH OUT A DECENT SEQUEL
It was terrible, one of the few movies I regret paying to watch it, wish I could get my money back.
Really? All of them are has beens that have leeft the public consciousness or are associated with b-movies, except maybe Brolin but he isn't exactly an audience drawer either. People just don't care about Sin City, specially in the age of Marvel capeshit. The first one came out when edgy comic book movies were being made and it worked at the time.
Where is the third one?!
Also I liked Empire more than orginal.
I tried watching a few scenes and it was strongly lacking in atmosphere, felt like a plain black and white film. I was pretty annoyed that there was some skinny guy who could fight toe to toe with Marv. Marv is supposed to be a walking tank. Play by the rules people.
>artemesia invites protag to join the dark side
>fucks him rough and rawdog
>finishes in her
>he says no and leaves.
>kills her later
what was she expecting?
>I was pleasantly surprised at how good Levitt's storyline was
I liked it too, definitely the best part of the movie.
The titular story sucked, even though it followed the comic closely. Brolin wasn't anywhere near as good as Owen, and the practical effects were hilariously bad.
It was terrible and way too late.
>I was pretty annoyed that there was some skinny guy who could fight toe to toe with Marv
I don't recall that, which segment are you talking about?
Also, Elijah Wood managed to fuck him up pretty bad in the first film, so I don't get why that would bother you so much.
took way too long to be released, hype was completely non-existant by that point
forgettable leads
forgettable storylines
eva was great but other than that there just wasn't enough to carry this film
