This guy and his sweaters.
That guy is comfy
what about his beige custom popped collars?
[i want one]
After watching this guy for awhile it is clear that he was the kid in school that really got off on kudos and adults telling him he is smart.
All of his assertions regarding combat are those of a nerd that does not do anything martial at all and thinks its like playing chess
>medieval show
>women never get brutally raped during a siege
He went to a fancy boarding school.
he looks like what jeremy corbyn would look like if he decided to start dressing like a hobo ten years earlier than he did
u wot m8
here he is at a sparring camp with a saber instructor this monday.
he is probably still there.

Yeah that was the first video I watched, seems like the type of guy that quotes Monty python and thinks its hilarious as if referencing something somehow makes them funny.
>Lorica Segmentata
>English Accents.
Lindybeige is actually insanely fit when you see him without his shirt, like Bruce Lee. He's just a weird guy.
might be hard for a dirty foreign to understand but he behaves really typically for a grammar school student
Yes, because that never happened. Right?
Ive done fencing a couple of times, dorks like these ruin everything with their passive aggressive bullshit and their generally wimpy self deprecating attitudes.
There is a reason why chads are more popular, they are less weasly
Sauce?
Oh is that code word for "He was most likely buggered at twelve and thats why he is weird"
Why do non-whites have disdain for eloquence and etiquette?
so all of Sup Forums was diddled as kids then?
no that happens at catholic schools, in grammar schools it's the boys themselves who universally spend a several year period of their lives as total "sexually adventurous" faggots and then never speak of it again once they leave
It's impressive in a smarmy ridiculous way
I'm half Norwegian and half Irish, I'm sorry I thought autism was ok to ridicule on Sup Forums
He buys regular shirts and adjusts them himself. Buy a sewing machine and you, too, can be as stylish as Lloyd.
...
Why would you admit you're a half lap and half potatonigger mutt when he accuses you of being a subhuman?
>irish
>white
>half Irish
That's what he said, non-whites.
...
Why do people sweat this guy so much? is he the alpha dork other losers aspire to be?
He talks like he has a baseline mental illness and likely one day with go on a rampage and attack his land lady with a scimitar
oh thats not white? what is white? protestant English only?
He doesn't like metric?
>eternal anglo
>white
>Market Garden
>mainly known for the phrase 'a bridge too far', a colossal military gamble that lost
>victory
Tell me he just said it in passing and was thinking of a different operation.
Germanic
>land lady
He's so upper-middle class he was sent to a grammar school, there's no way he isn't an esquire
i know. I've seen the video.
haha, that's brilliant.
Irish have never been white, wtf kind of a dope are you?
He's posh and he talks authoritatively about his hobbies on YouTube, Sup Forums dorks wish they had his eloquence so they nitpick his mistakes and mock his social class.
He's also 6'4" which doesnt translate on YT. You guys also watch ScholaGladiatoria or other history/hema channels?
Thats what I mean, he says odd shit sometimes and only says shit like this to appear thoughtful and interesting.
Jesus christ, no. Krauts are disgusting. The only thing worse than the fucking hun is the rest of the filthraces.
How can a man so English be such a nigger?
He just has an extreme case of francophobia. Which is weird considering so many historians are hardcore ouiaboos.
>authoritatively
In what way is he qualified to speak on anything?
His Francophobia is mostly affected, it's almost expected of Englishmen that they hate France.
I always figured most English didn't care for the French.
>ouiaboos
Hon
might be because he is a dance instructor, not a historian.
also, the french and metric bashing is a meme.
>qualified
It's YouTube you spastic. He does a lot of research and he's studied this shit his whole life out of interest, watch his videos or don't but don't pretend he's some kind of fraud when his content is far better and more accurate than a lot of "professional" history channels. Can you say "Crash Course History"?
Eh not really, it's 99% just banter. Most Brits like France and would like the French too if it wasn't traditional to hate them.
>Crash Course History
I fucking hate the "we need to make history accessible as possible for idiots with no attention span" movement.
In school I used to read ahead in history books because it was enthralling
Dumbing down this stuff will not accomplish anything
>it's a medieval show
>they don't unscrew the pommels of their swords to throw at the enemy
It's actually much worse than that, not only does Carlin dumb down history to beyond the point of retardation, he shamelessly pushes a political agenda while he does so.
the french are arrogant snobbish cunts who look down on everybody. also, they're grade A cucks.
Skallagrim is alright but that meme needs to fucking die.
Stay delusional empirelet.
At least in France you can buy a butter knife without a permit.
I just looked this up. The absolute madman.
>Crash Course History
Yes they're very easy to hate, but really at this point Britain and France are close allies and our respective people's are generally favorable to one another. But bants are like a religion to Europeans, so neither side will ever admit they don't actually hate the other.
Doing a history degree atm and the feminist lecturer despises these 'pop war historians on youtube' so I like him by default.
>pop war historians on youtube
Even a broken clock is right twice a day user
She's talking about the guy running the Great War channel, not Lindy. Lindy would be alright as a children's entertainer but if you're in college you should avoid this surface-level shit like the plague.
Indy Aidell, I think his name is, another kino channel.
>character canonicaly wields a greatsword
>gets changed to dual wielding swords with stickers on them
Give me some credit Im not fucking citing him in my essays.
But theres a huge debate in history as to whether any history intended for commercial consumption is wrong by design.
Her main problem was that its 'not what the people want' and 'we've gone beyond that now'. I would argue, along with many others, that theres something inherently appealing about narrative, kings, battles etc.
>someone other than ottoman
>calling someone else empirelet
When history is popularized, it's immediately propagandized. It's inherent to the very way we communicate about it. It ceases to be history and becomes a mobilizing force.
>we've gone beyond that now
ie. we've stopped doing history
On youtube, sure. But it has grounds to be used elsewhere.
you have to admit it definitely has happened many times in human history, probably as many times as is represented in media, if not moreso. So really you're the faggot OP
funnily enough these two are the broad camps of the debate. I tend to fall into this one> When history is popularized, it's immediately propagandized
If you think the vast majority of academic history is not heavily propagandised then you clearly have not been reading much
Roman
Macedonian
Mongolian
heard of those?
It happened in both Europe and Asia with sword and dagger, two swords isnt IMPOSSIBLE to imagine. However, if it was repeatedly successful as a tactic, it would have been practiced and recorded more.
>ouiaboos
Academic history is supposed to be a groundwork that you can build off on your own research. Of course there's going to be some agenda behind it, but while you're in that realm, it's supposed to be your right and responsibility to discuss that kind of thing.
When it enters the broad public sphere, it becomes just another cudgel to beat people who disagree with you.
was this gun-kino, chaps?
I wish Schola Gladiatora spent less time with Lloyd. He's a bad influence.
I honestly didn't entirely believe the brit noguns meme until I saw the first rifle video.
I know they can't own most guns, but they must have shooting ranges or something, or rental guns to teach Boy Scouts to shoot. Seeing a 40 year old man get his first rifle shot on video is embarrassing. For fucks sake, it's just a lump of wood and metal, don't look so impressed.
I only watch Knyght Errant anymore. A fraction the content, but infinitely better explained and illustrated, and by a guy who isn't a cringy spastic middle aged man who acts like a child.
I would literally pick Lindy to win in a swordfight over Soyagrim or Varg.
There are colleagues and staff who firmly believe that any study outside of communist/feminist/"social" history is 'unacademic'. To describe this as 'some agenda' is massively underselling it. They use the cudgel of 'academic' to beat people with. They take highly contested articles and books, treat them as doctrine then cite endlessly. I suppose the fact they have been critiqued does show the benefits of academia but its one of those things where the original is cited a thousand times and the rebuttal ten.
>cringy spastic middle aged man who acts like a child.
Is there any worse case than this?
>any study outside of communist/feminist/"social" history is 'unacademic'
Out of all the reasons to hate the jews, perverting the humanitarian/social sciences and turning them into essentially marxist clergy is one of the worst.
skallagrim is a meme and var is, well...
he did kill euronymous, but i don't think it was much of a duel.
so yeah,i agree
not white
but we SHOULD have won the hundred years war
>Some obscure fucking fencing treatise used by upper class twits 400 year’s ago means it must have been common on the battlefield
we share alot of ancestry with the french, theyre our brothers but also complete shits
History is partially immunised from this. You are permitted to do essays on pretty much anything of your choosing and as long as you pay lip service to some (((scholars))) that the tutor likes they will take seriously your line of argument. Second for research and dissertation if you see a gap in the scholarship and it can be justified they will permit you to do so. I've done papers on Von Mises and the war tactics of Richard the 3rd and it never caused problems. Looking at something on Marcus Aurelius for my diss.
They do, of course, teach you the marxist ideology but you don't have to accept it. Im at a good UK uni known for a good history department though so maybe its different elsewhere.
>I'm half Norwegian and half Irish
t. Ahmed Obongobudadeen
He should get a fedora to complete the look
>Soyagrim
you mean Soyagrimanlet?
Lloyd and Schola made fun of his vertical shortcomings.
youtube.com
Matt didn't even edit in the pic related in the video
>siege
That word doesnt mean what you think it means
THE CHAD LINDY
>well, the enemy has got us surrounded and are waiting to starve us out.
>roight then, rape the women.
>character wields TWO sais
link on that total war session?
Gee, billy
I thought that was legit?
The sai is a Okinawan Karate show weapon, anyway. Not a real battlefield or combat tool. Though its design looks to be based on a Jutte, which was an Edo police defensive weapon.
