So I might be crazy, but I have a theory. I want to be wrong, so if I am just being crazy, tell me.
In the new episode of season 3, there is a strange number of references to the number 9. >Rick accuses the bugs of using a series 9000. >One of the memories seen from the window is that of Rick on 9/11. >Rick gives the bug his 6 years of improve classes and says, "Comedy always comes in 3's." 6+3=9 >The highest clearance the galactic federation has is level 9. >The Rick that is possessed by our Rick after he possesses the bug is D99. >The laser pistol Rick shoots the council of Ricks with is a 9 Gauge. >The episode ends with Rick yelling about 9 more seasons until he can get his sauce.
Combine this what the fact that, in a previous episode, Rick was in a simulation inside a simulation and was completely aware of the fact. Also add in that the episode played on April Fool's day. That would be one of the biggest April Fool's jokes. Am I just being a Sup Forumsack? Or could this have some weight to it?
Also, Adult swim still seems to be looping it on their stream. Don't know for how much longer, though.
Luis Rodriguez
Great I just woke up and realized I missed something big with Rick and Morty, thank God there's still links to watch the episode, but what happened here? A shitstorm I imagine
Robert Lewis
Yeah as an April Fool's joke as ran Rick and Morty season 3 ep 1 all night instead of the scheduled programming. Most of the shitstorm was about not getting Samurai Jack.
I am kind of disappointed about no Jack, but it was a good episode of R&M.
So? Even if it isn't canon, it was a full actual episode.
Luis Mitchell
WHO CARES ABOUT SAMURAI JACK
WE MISSED OUT ON AN EPISODE OF DRAGON BALL SUPER REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Easton Hughes
>kikebook are you shitting me tripfag
thanks
Jackson Jones
This show does love its twists. I wouldn't put it past them to reveal this tidy resolution was all a dream in a future episode.
Dylan Reyes
I'm with it's still an episode even if it never actually happened. "Just a dream" is still better than bland filler.
>being a f/a/ggot on Sup Forums >liking anime dubs
Easton Murphy
top notch dolphin porn right here
Chase Edwards
no you didn't. gohan and then goku sparred against krillin to demonstrate raw strength wouldn't be enough to win in the tournament of power. krillin beat gohan then goku stepped down when he realised after fighting 1v1 for most of his tough rivals he wasn't mentally prepared for an 80 man battle royale where anyone can snipe him while he's fighting someone else
well the galactic government did have access to his brain
he could still be in prison for all we know
I don't think they'd do that though, it would be kind of a copout
Cameron Anderson
>They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on April fools gag
Yeah sure man
Joseph Nguyen
Trump is president and you think spending thousands of dollars on an April Fools joke sounds unlikely?
Dominic Cox
Why was rick distraught on 9/11? Shouldn't he be unphased by it since he's seen much worse before?
Aaron Diaz
post lewd Summers pls
Logan Parker
Come to think of it, Rick's basically a smarter, less altruistic version of Trump.
Carter Richardson
>Trump Look, we know /mlp/ is a shithole, but you can't use our board as a place for your shit just cuz of that. Now get back to your neck of the woods before I report you to the Sup Forumsice.
Thomas Nelson
9/11 was the day they hated our freedom. ole rick would never forget.
Michael Gutierrez
I've been inclined to say so. A few characters seemed out of character.
Summer and Beth just totally enamored with Rick. Morty actually MORE assertive then usual. Everyone going on and on about how Rick the the smartest person evah. Rick constantly one uping everyone.(not that he doesn't usually do that.) Callback character after callback character. Either this was poor writing or intentional.
It DID seem like it might have been Rick's fantasy/imagination.
Lucas James
it's a joke nigger.
"Where were you when you heard the news"
Austin Jenkins
Well, first, because it was a joke.
Second because he was yelling in horror at it being an excuse to chip away further at essential freedoms and liberties, not at the sudden loss of life.
Jackson Rodriguez
It's not like they'll only ever play the episode once, it would still get reruns even if it is a gag so no money wasted.
Adrian James
it ends by completely changing the family dynamic (he takes over the family basically, allowing him to get away with anything). It just reeks of wish fulfillment
Benjamin Thomas
Death to tripfags
Caleb Morales
I think Morty getting more assertive is the point. He's been taking this grand nihilistic tour through Rick's fucked-up universe and after a certain point you get inured to it. Adding to that, he tends to go off when his frustration reaches a boiling point.
If anything, I saw the episode as a bit of a primer on how "evil" Mortys happen.
Grayson Flores
Alright so, here's what happened, they tried to get the code for his portal shit again right before he devalued their currency. Morty did it. They also did this to learn the fly code to his workshop, they also have the portal gun from dead rick.
9 is somehow important to the whole thing, probably a code. If it's not resolved now, it'll be an end season reveal when they get what they want, or he gets what he wants and they leave the simulation.
Either way it happens again next season and they might keep repeating it as long as it's funny to them.
Series is just gonna loop till it gets cancelled, even if it doesn't loop every season.
Aiden Morales
The only problem with the whole "Its all Ricks dream" thing, is that there are big scenes that he couldn't be aware of.
Ryan Price
Just go online and watch the sub >INB4 i dont watch sub If you can't watch the sub you shouldnt watch Sup Forums
James Allen
Even if you don't like Rick and Morty this was better then any episode of Dragon Ball Super.
