Is it /woman cant understand/ core?

Yes. '07 was best year.

Now for the real question, who was in the wrong?

Casey Affleck ruined it like he does everything

>yfw you realize Jesse was suicidal and tricked Robert Ford into thinking he's going to kill him

It was boring as shit, although "technically" good.

Why? He acted like a wimp, which fits the character perfectly.

When he walks in the fields during the opening narration, is he already dead? Because this scene had beautiful scenery which checks out with the discussion he had with Charley on suicide.
>you won't fight dying once you've peaked over to the other side
This ain't your Clint Eastwood western, son.

didn't even finish it

>30 million dollar budget
>made less than 4 million at the box office
Shit, this bombed HARD

WTF it was just some cowboy costumes in the woods?? Where did the 30 mill go???

Would have been 10/10 IF somebody other than Brad Pitt was cast as Jesse

Seriously, that was one of the worst miscasts ever made

for you

Most certainly

brad pitt was 10 mil at least

I thought Brad Pitt was perfect for the role.

When I see him in any other role he's so famous it's quite jarring seeing him. But in this movie it was quite perfect cause he needs to be extremely central when on the screen. just imo worked really well

9.4/10

This. His fame added to the role

No. Brad took a paycut because he wanted to work on the film that badly.

It's probably the most beautiful movie ever made.

People try to hype up New Zealand because of LOTR, but good lord... Fucking America is so staggering to behold.

>No Country for Old men
>There Will be Blood
>TAOJJBTCRF

What else?

My wife thought it was a great movie.

It's crazy how 2007 was such a great year and gave us 3 unironic kino films that are all widely considered to be 3 of the best films ever made, and then 2008 gave us:

>literally the three best films of the decade
>>what else?

Zodiac (2007)
Eastern Promises (2007)
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead (2007)

Don't get mad: TDK.

I am not saying it's as good, I am just saying it came out.

GOAT score

Jesse needed to die, and Robert was a youngish loser. Jesse also kept signaling he wanted to die, though.

Although Robert should have let Wood kill Dick Liddle.

Oh my god, those came out in 2007 too didn't they? Jesus Christ. Why can't every year just be like 2007?

All of these movies could have swept the Oscars on any given year. I wish I could go back in time and tell them to space that shit out.

made $15mill

eh not really. It had good cinematography but the actual environments couldn't hold a candle to LOTR. In the end it was just a bunch of wheatfields and occasionally a hill and some woods. LOTR shits on it in terms of vistas.

>Fucking America is so staggering to behold.
It was filmed in Calgary.

Do you have this saved for whenever the year 2007 comes up? That's so odd.

Sorry mate, I thought you meant something like
>That's it?

I feels ya, user. One of my favs. Def Brad Pitt's magnus opus.

Big up to Casey Aflec for capturing creepy fan boy.

wha?!??! Might have to rewatch this right now to look into this...

I remember thinking it was boring when I first watched it. That was maybe 7 years ago.

Will I enjoy it more on a rewatch?

It was beautiful but felt extremely slow.

Part of America. NZ is it's own distinct location.

those are all 2008 movies though

>Rooms seemed hotter when he was in them. Rains fell straighter. Clocks slowed. Sounds were amplified.

What? Pitt came off malicious as hell, but very personable when he needed to be. A big name was needed to portray a legend.

I thought it was well made. But I also thought it was just boring as well. Narrator annoyed me, especially how it reused the same musical notes every time.. just made me think "oh here we go again.."

Your tastes have probably changed a lot since then. Give it another shot when you're wide awake.

>don't that picture look dusty

it's manchester by the sea but with a wider jaw as the lead

She loves Deadwood too. I lucked out.

>Jesse shoots Ed Miller in the back
>Robert shoots Jesse in the back
>No eulogies for Bob
What did they mean by this? Is this some virgin vs chad mechanics?

>Jumper
The novel was so good, that movie just shit all over it

chad gets praised, while virgin gets scolded

QUICK I NEED A CHAD JESSE JAMES VS VIRGIN ROBERT FORD EDIT STAT

3:10 to Yuma by Girl, Interrupted Director James Mangold was also release in 2007

>wife (male)

>3:10 to Yuma

THE CHAD OUTLAW
>died, resurrected
>kills innocents, doesn't give a fuck
>shoots up trains, everyone still loves him
>god tier hair line
>literally a symbol for ultimate badassery

Modern day equivalent.

Manlet Robert Ford is outspoken feminist and vegan.

Murders Joe Rogan expecting women to love him for killing the mysogynistic brute.
