Seriously has Tom ever been in a bad movie?

Seriously has Tom ever been in a bad movie?

Not really, some say Cocktail (1988) but even "Mummy" was good enough. Don't kill it coz of 20 minutes universe shit.

Just watched it, it was pretty good

This, but Cruse's acting was pretty mediocre. His face was so expressionless.

Far and Away is pretty terrible, Cruise's attempt at an Irish accent is pretty hilarious, he sounds like the lucky charms leprechaun.

That one with satan was pretty shit

You must have memory loss issues

Man, I loved Cruise performance in mummy. First time ever he plays an asshole and complete unlikeable jerk as opposed to typical charming characters he does.

yeah but plus one for making a true origin story for the boomer sooner.

that movie would NEVER get made today.

Knight and Day was not good.

This wasn't bad though. It wasn't good, but it definitely wasn't bad.

>The Mummy was bad

giv mummy gf

hi tom

The Mummy
Jack Reacher 2

You know, for normies it's like
>no muh Brendan JUST Fraser
>no muh 90s nostalgia
>fuking women genderswapping
>no muh Hulk-like Hyde
These guys just do not realize there were other mummy movies before, and early mummy horror novels were about female mummies.

Imagine being this person and defending the new Mummy movie. Jesus christ... The absolute state of Sup Forums.

coz finally some mummy movie that is actually closer to mummy movie/book roots than indiana jones ripoff. can give these 20 minutes of universe building away.

It's actually a pleb filter. If you don't know anything else than 90s Brendan one you wont get it. There are nods to much older movies and even obscure late XIX novels.
Its bogged down by shared universe, have to agree, but still.

Better than that Brendan Fraser shit by a mile. I bet you like the Star Wars prequels too.

Went into it knowing nothing
The ending was an actual shock
I liked this movie

>The ending was an actual shock
Did you not expect it? Ever watched Casino or any crime movie ever?

magnolia is his worst movie

Nah man, he chooses his projects well and his enthusiasm for his work really is contagious. I love the guy, crazy manlet or not he's the definition of a movie star

Eat shit. Magnolia is god-tier.

yes

American Made was the peak Tom Smile Movie. He smiles throughout the entire kino, but it's never the exact smile, it dances across the spectrum of comedy and tragedy, confidence and chaos, to the very end. That's why the title is so fitting. Grin and bear it, all American. This movie is criminally underrated. Fuck Narcos. Cruise should work exclusively with Doug Liman, if they'd made Mummy it would've made money boys

literally all of they

With one exception, Cruise and Tarantino for his next film. Fuck I hope that happens. It'd be fresh, a evolution for each.

Collateral and Rock of Ages

Mummy is awful, and Far and Away and Jack Reacher 2 are borderline bad. Otherwise, he's remarkably consistent.

Color of Money doesn't get enough praise.

>his enthusiasm for his work really is contagious
This. I used to hate his optimism during press interviews, his safe answers, but now it's like he exists in a parallel universe where SJW signaling doesn't exist. That's why American Made was great, he's pranking the Bushes and the Clintons as corrupt fools.

And there'd be no DOOM without Cruise. He improv'd that "doom" line in The Color of Money, too. I know Bale used him for the basis of Patrick Bateman, but who wouldn't want to see Bale and Cruise team up? They should be the actor and stunt actor for QT in his Manson flick. Perfect. It'd even sync well because Cruise is shorter, like a real actor.

in both of these his characters are somehow relatable to viewers, in mummy he is literally anti-hero asshole
