When did you see/find out about the Room for the first time?
For me, I find out about it through this beautiful girl I was dating, she was a friend of a friend, she knew I was into stupid stuff so she recommended it to me. Sadly our relationship ended because I fell in love with her, she only wanted a sex life, not a love life.
In 2013 I hosted a the room viewing party and I shouted at a guy who had actual autism because he was smoking indoors. I wasn't paying rent at the time.
Lincoln Gutierrez
Hee made that up for that punchline of a joke. He being a spam bot.
Chase Scott
The room is actually well shot. Tommy Wiseau is a decent director everything else is shit but it's technically fairly well made
Ayden Lopez
beating off into lisa's dress but you know, can't complain
Josiah Rodriguez
I agree.
The script is weird and the acting is weird,
but the editing and cinematography is great.
actually I love this movie, it's great also the dialogue is great and unique.
Nathan Wood
>the editing and cinematography is great I wouldn't go that far famalam. The camera work is good the set design and the editing is shit tho they re-use a sex scene from a slightly different angle and the set on the greenscreened roof is like 10x10 no fucking tiny roofs like that exist and the actual apartment set changes the location of the door all the time.
Nolan Perry
Adult Swim used to show it on April fools day. Did get why during the commercials for it until i saw it and realized what the joke was.
Carter Russell
Didn't get why*
Kayden Barnes
Unironically the Nostalgia Critic
Matthew Morales
looks like he's about to get his dick sucked
Easton Ramirez
whats the joke
Kevin Allen
A comedy disguised as a drama
Alexander Hughes
The opening is comfy as fuck. Felt like i was in san francisco
Bentley Anderson
It was on the cover of NOW, Toronto's free weekly left-wing newspaper when I was visiting Toronto to see movies in 2009.
Luke Howard
Found out about The Room when AICN called it one of the worst films of the years. Little did they know it would become a cult classic.
Josh Hutcherson looked exactly like AJ Soprano in the disaster artist
Jonathan Nelson
>Speaking of which what’s the verdict on pic related:
Hardly anyone has seen it yet.
Oliver Butler
About 2008 by a blog I was following on my Google Reader thing.
Looked up the highlights on youtube, been in love ever since.
Ayden Turner
Don’t think it’s been released yet. You’d think it’d be talked about enough on here.
Brayden Sullivan
The Room is a genuinely interesting, and dare I say artistic film because Tommy put so much of himself into it, lending the movie some pathos. It's fucking hilarious, but it's also got some layers to it, however subconscious they may be. That's why things like Sharknado are truly terrible, cynical films that have no soul and are actively trying to be "so bad it's good" with eight screens of irony.
Benjamin Bell
In college. My friends and I got high, ate snacks, and laughed our asses off from how stupid it was. Best night of my college life.
Easton Ramirez
why did he cast a fat girl to play Lisa? why not some hot LA slut?
Adam Johnson
Wikipedia, i was looking at the list for worst movies ever made
Christopher Torres
I remember hearing about it on imdb back in the 2000s or so, but didn't have much interest in it. It wasn't until 2013 when my interest in the movie picked up when Opie and Anthony started talking about it, then my school got obsessed with it right after, and I finally saw it in the summer of '14.
Oliver Gomez
2008. On Sup Forums of all places.
Jayden Martinez
Nostalgia Critic episode
Xavier Martinez
Probably Sup Forums with people randomly mentioning it.
Or possibly Nostalgia Critic when the review was blocked by Tommy.
Caleb Murphy
A friend of mine recommended we watch it after we finished a long series of MST3K reruns. He didn't tell me how bad it was and for the first third or so I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid of hurting his feelings.
Jack Murphy
Tommy had a real cinematographer, multiple camera operators and a script supervisor who had some idea how to direct a scene. The Disaster Artist even credits Sandy with directing the movie.
Tommy didn't do shit but ruin every scene.
Nathaniel Cruz
I heard about it from an internet friend in like...2007? 2008? It was a few years after it got big in LA but a few years before it got really popular
Zachary White
I think I first saw it, weirdly enough, on an /x/ stream in around 2010/2011. We watched this and Birdemic. It all had me in tears.
Colton Nelson
I was getting into Rifftrax and they had this commentary and I had no idea what the movie was. So that was the only way I actually saw it, was with commentary.
I can't really watch bad movies without joking commentary, it feels like I'm wasting precious minutes of my life.
Landon Diaz
>Sophomore year, 2010
>Had a huge dorm instead of the tiny ones most of my friends got
>37 inch TV, one of the biggest on campus at the time.
A friend of mine wanted to do a viewing party and my place was the logical hosting point for it.
It was pretty cash honestly. The Room is a pretty universally good time.
Leo Robinson
I saw the Tim and Eric episode with him and didn’t realize it was a real movie as it seemed like sketches they would make
