Those feels.
Came here just to post this. No one has ever been able to capture the essence of Batman anywhere near as well as Kevin Conroy does.
...
David Mazouz from Gotham
Batman should always be Val Kilmer and every Batmovie should end with a Seal song. BatFact!
In my headcanon, Val was playing the Jean Paul Valley Batman.
>Tfw he stays a 5’5 manlet
>Tfw they have to recast the role for the series finale when he puts the mask on
Maybe?
Telltale
Nah, movie looks like shit. Its called batman ninja yet they look more like samurai.
Fucking dumb.
I haven't read it, but I disagree.
My niggas
Well, that just means he's a good ninja, they were supposed to look whatever they needed for the mission.
>batman ninja yet they look more like samurai.
I think that is dumb as well. My guess is someone on the USA side of things thought "Ninja" sounds cooler than "Samurai". I'm still looking forward to it despite the computer animation. Might be fun.
Gotham Knight is probably my favorite Batman media out there. There's so much variety, yet the writers tie it all together. Neil Gaiman's bit was my favorite in that one. Legends of the Dark Knight is another great anthology.
I agree with the others in this thread that Kevin Conroy is the perfect BatVoice, but I prefer him in the Arkham game series. Hamill does a much better job of Joker in them, too.
I liked Bale's bat, but I honestly preferred Affleck's. It's a shame he won't return for The Batman, because I think he really captures the fearsome predator essence of Batman in a way we haven't seen before in film. I like that he's willing to kill in it, presumably because of Jason Todd's death. The no killing rule is classic Batcanon, but not every iteration needs to stick to that. Hell, Frank Miller had him shoot a guy in The Dark Knight Returns.
My favorite, though, is how Grant Morrison wrote him, and I mean that for Bruce, Dick, and future Damian. I'm not even much of a Morrison fan, but he managed to come at the character from several different angles he's classically known for and make them all work. There's grimdark, camp, detective work, and a touch of the supernatural. He not only makes the whole bat family work, but he brings in a bunch of obscure characters not seen since the Golden Age and actually makes them compelling.
Scott Snyder did a good take on Morrison's Dick Grayson Batman, but his New 52 stuff is a lot of rehashing from the Morrison run yet not as good. Twists out of nowhere without context.
I also unironically think that TDKR's Bane is the greatest ever Batman villain.
*Spoiler Alert*
It won't be
My favortie Batman ever is Kevin Conroy but my favorite live action Batman is the BvS one. I never really liked the Christian Bale/Nolan version. Batman Begins was okay but The Dark Knight is only good because of The Joker, most of Bales scenes that don’t involve Ledger are forgettable. Never bothered to watch The Dark Knight Rises. I also hated the cancer voice.
Probably his version from the Infinite Crisis comic, the one based off the video game. Showed how well he did leading from the back lines and calling shots for the people that can juggle buildings while also helping to inspre Sir Hal Jordan.
Really wish that concept had taken off, lot of neat ideas you could do with the setting. Hell, the interpretation of Joker in the gaslight universe was amazingly well done, and I wasn't expecting any depth to it at all.
Bale was a good Bruce Wayne, not so much Batman. Would've been better if they did what they did with BvS and had some technology change his voice, rather than having Bale sound very constipated. Didn't work.
Sexiest Batman
Surprised this show is still on
The one and only.
The only one true Batman.
Michael Keaton. He's just perfect for the role.
Robocop Batman is also pretty good.
