define greatness. box office success? Pan was uniqe, and executed flawlessly, unique creepy onsters and story. I think its fair enough to call it a great movie, (even if i dont like grim movies)
Pafcific Rim was great too. Average director would make it like a powerrangers/transformers cliché crap fest, with like 2 fight scen at best and forced shiping. He made it action scenes every 10 minutes, not daylight but cool looking night and rainy setting, barely touched love affair, nonstop rollercoaster. See the sequel with other executives? literally power rangers tier crap
