Why do all good shows have disappointing endings?

mad men had a good ending
breaking bad had a decent if not abrupt ending
the only ending i still hate to these days is the sopranos

none of those 3 had good endings

Pleb opinion. Sopranos has one of the few good endings, probably. I guess the Wire is acceptable. Breaking Bad was okay on some levels (Walter coming to terms with Skylar) but terrible on others (literally the whole plot of the last season and everything to do with Jesse). Mad Men's ending is also good.
I think we can all agree that Lost has the most disappointing ending of all time.

LOST ending was perfect you pleb. We're agreed on Sopranos though

Sopranos finale is the ultimate TV pleb filter.

DON'T STOP BELIEVIN IN

Six feet under is the only show I was pleased with the finale

Can someone tell me why the fuck people hate this ending?

Did you want the series to end with Elaine and Jerry getting married or something?

The Leftovers has a good ending

Because it made zero sense

Because it was fucking stupid and had literally no value or meaning.

LOST's ending was satisfying so your theory is wrong

The entire final season of Lost was a horrendous dumpster fire. Don't kid yourself.

The last season and everything with Jacob and MIB was bad so there was no redemption. Elaborate purgatory was fine except some of the people there wouldn't have wanted to hang out with those people though.

Sunny could have had a good finale with them dieing on the boat, but no gotta milk that cow some more

> Lost has the most disappointing ending of all time

How much of a retard do you have to be to expect anything at all out of a finale for a show like Lost? Then again, I guess if you stuck with the dogshit writing for that long, you'd have to be braindead and then some.

>had literally no value or meaning
I would say that this aligns with the philosophy of the show

This has to be trolling. Everything past S4 is completely irredeemable. And I'm not even talking about some stupid Island Mythos or anything like that. They completely butchered the characters.
>oh hey we wanted to kill locke for a cheap reaction, but he's going to come back as mib
>oh, jack's defining trait was being a skeptic? nvm, let's make it so that by the end he becomes a braindead believer and he even sacrifices himself for the island
Again, these are things that you should hate in principle. I won't go into all the inconsistencies that the show pulled because those are: a) obvious b) things you have to come to accept if you watch Lost. But the one thing it had going to for it was good characterization. By the end, they had nullified everything that made the characters special and turned them into caricatures of themselves. Sayid literally became a psychopath by the end.
Kill yourself. Lost was a one-of-a-kind show and S1 remains legendary.

like every episode

he's right. That moment when Jack shouts WE HAVE TO GO BACK s the perfect ending for the show.

That other show named Lost they made after that... garbage

damn just like the rest of the show? the final conversation is the same one that begins the series. it's "a show about nothing"--the characters never really change so I'm not sure what people expected in the finale. I do think that the details of the plot in the finale are pretty dumb like the law they broke and the excuse to bring every character back.

Yes, and?

Because it wasn't funny. It was just a bunch of flashbacks

Sunny will end with Frank revealing that once he joined the gang he opened a insurance policy on the bar which has grown to million dollars, so the gang decides as the ultimate plan they'll burn down the bar. Through the episode each of them feels it's unfair they should split evenly and as the bar is burning down they all lock themselves in an argument over the money and they all burn to death down with the bar, except for Charlie who was outside packing his rat stick in the trunk of Dee's car.
