ITT: Claremonts sexual deviancy

...

X-Men vs Micronauts is basically the most X-Men the X-Men ever got.

Brother got a serious transformation fetish, too.

I work at a library and one day I was putting a hardcover X-Men volume on the shelf, deciding to flip through it. The first page I opened it at had Storm tied to a St. Andrew's Cross with Emma Frost pouring honeyed words in her ear. The situation was so obviously sexual it got a chuckle out of me.
And that's how I got into X-Men, kids. Thanks Chris.

Buisick did not like the nanny bot.

...

>the best thing to ever happen to these books is terrible!
Wow, what a dummy.

Hahahaaaa...it's always funny when you see this shit in modern day.
I even HAVE that goddamn issue of Superboy where Johns writes in his later origins for Superboy.

The omnis have the letters. It's pretty great. I'm a 100% Kirbyfag and I even like Claremont/Cocrum/Byrne best. I'm reading Busick Avengers right now; the first half of his run is one retcon/flashback after another.

The Kitty Pryde WG scene is GOAT.

Well Busiek is like one of the four hardcore X-men fans who prefer the O5 lineup to what came after. And not merely the Neal Adams stuff, but specifically the original Kirby/Lee stories.

Busiek's run was actively fixing the Avengers.

Entire Brood Saga.

>You mirin' bruh?
Yes.

I understand the intent, user, but it really fucks the pacing- over and over again, issue after issue. Further, the many, many flashbacks are presented in shit monochrome.
It improves at around the time of the nefaria arc, but it makes the first 20 or so issues a slog if you don't give af.

Never had a problem with it. It's only the longer arcs with Kang and Triathlon that are a slog, and that's due to the length.

pics?

Well I find it tiresome.
And yeah, the triune shit has dragged on way too long. That's for sure.

unf

Claremont introduced the very first transgendered supervillain.
( with the power to hide in plain sight, cute... )
And when the Marvel editorial guys self-censored and put the kibosh on his plans to make Mystique Nightcrawler's FATHER he just pushed right along and confirmed her relationship with Destiny was lesbian in nature.

The crazy part was that for all the bitching about Marvel's liberal political speech lately, I have no doubt whatsoever that these are just examples of Claremont pushing his perv fantasies into the comic.

Busiek is a very good comics writer, we can forgive him some foibles.

What the fuck is that in the first panel, Xavier's Stand?

Yeah, because Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was around back when that was made.

Idiot.

he was obviously joking you legitimate autist

(not the guy)

For serious, do either of you know if that was Chuck's id again, a multiple personality, Shadow King, a prepubescent Onslaught, or that Brood Queen that had possessed him around that time???
I know it sure as hell wasn't Cassandra Nova.
There have been a lot of "Evil Professor" stories and it's hard to keep track.

Jokes are supposed to be funny. That wasn't.

Please provide examples

>but upon hearing what the conclusion would be, decided to stick around 'til Cyclops left.
Really gets dem cogs turnin

OH IS IT THAT TIME OF THE MONTH AGAIN

Body horror, capture, transformation and silly jokes absorbed by the young and sexually frustrated WILL read fetishes into things.

When you're from a sexually repressed culture, you WILL sublimate your desires to whatever's handy.

Thus you can't write a story about someone trapping someone else, or somebody being able to change shape without some reader complaining about the content being sexual in nature.

You see sex everywhere because you're deprived and repressed and perma-horny.

some non-Excalibur

Oh for sure. A lot of what I've dumped was likely coincidence. I just find the sheer variety of coincidences hilarious. TechNet is literally Fetish Force, minus one or two members.
Still, some certain stuff comes up with such recurrence in his work that you cannae help but wonder.

...

...

This

Also goddamn, was this everybabby's first soap opera or what? Because I promise you even daytime soaps were running shit this weird back in the day. Hell, some of them still are.

...

I mean hell there are 'fetishy' scenes in Exaclibur issues that Chris didn't even write.

Maybe he just rubbed off on the team.

I love Busiek when he became a writer, but why was he such a little bitch before he started writing? seriously, I read some of these letters he wrote and he's always whining about something

>shit THIS weird
I don't believe you.

Man, I need to read New Mutants... that IS New Mutants, yeah?

>I have no doubt whatsoever that these are just examples of Claremont pushing his perv fantasies into the comic.
undoubtedly, and I'm sure he is all over lesbian porn cause there are very few straight X-women. Almost all the characters have very gay moment with other women Just read an issue of X-Treme X-men where Kitty and Prodigy stop fighting for a panel and get lost in each others eyes and almost kiss. But who cares about the motives, so he likes lesbians, he managed to open a lot of taboos that writers were still trying to get by. It was the dying of the comics code authority and I think he was one of the main ones that was breaking it apart.

Looked it up earlier after reading that post myself. Apparently he was one of the 5 cult-fans of pre-Claremont X-Men and felt the series moved away from the stuff he liked about it. Namely, the school stuff & activism. The Regenesis basically made them another all-purpose globe-trotting superhero team. I guess he had Avengers for that and appreciated the the O5's niche.
Apparently he wrote a What If issue where the rebrand never happened and the old team remained the definitive X-Men. v2, #23, 1991. Mebbe worth lookin up if you want in his head.

He's a typical self-entitled comic book fan. Maybe you should take a look in the mirror.

It's her mindless smile that really makes it.

He was quite open about his fetishes with Storm: The Arena a mini that got folded into X-Treme X-Men that killed sales because he went too far with both them and the Stormwank.

...

...

Okay, what the fuck is going in here?

...

yum

Did Claremont predict the internet? Cause most of these fetishes he put in here would not be known about unless the internet existed.

That's Masque, an ugly Morlock whose power is to the ability to reshape everyone's appearance but his own. Claremont decided to ignore that limitation and have him remake himself as Marilyn Monroe for this particular story.

Dag what you want but that is a nice pervert suit design.

He grew up.

I remember reading those issues of Excalibur when they came out, and I didn't think they were sexual things. But now I can't not see it.
Did I just miss it, month after month, or is the perversity in me now and I'm projecting?

Naturally the story ended with a lesbian tentacle threeway in a hot tub.

soap operas had mind rape and tentacle porn? No, daytime soaps rarely had lesbian stuff, Claremont had done a lot of it intentionally. But there is probably a lot of it that was done by accident. I don't think anyone could realize how many weird fetishes there were out there pre-internet days

>can't not
you still don't see it?

Normally I would say that yeah, fetish fags keep seeing things the way they want to see them. However, Claremont's works do have certain recurring, oddly kinky themes. Some of his content is very obviously sexual, like this one here I think there's enough material out there to argue that Claremont's probably into /d/-fetishes.

If he is, I guess I am one too.

>If he is, I guess I am one too.
We all are, if we weren't we wouldn't be here.

Claremont likes BDSM and mindcontrol and it shows.
Other than that we're mostly projecting.

Can't not = can't avoid seeing it. You don't speak english?

There is no more obvious fetish fuel than tentacle Callisto. There was some lesbian undertones between her and storm before but..

either take pics or jack off to it, but don't try to do both at once holy shit

wow, unfocused like shit. trying again...

Yeah, I've since made a habit of saving 'fetishy' scenes for a laugh but only have one per writer and can count those writers on one hand. They're most assuredly coincidental. Compare that to the TWENTY FOUR I got from ONE comic run and it's clear Claremont's on another level.
Depends. When did you hit puberty?

>Naturally the story ended with a lesbian tentacle threeway in a hot tub.

...

Nobody is this retarded. It must be the work of an enemy Stand!

Silly wizard monkey, you'd make more money selling that instant orgasm shockpulse thing to people

>Masque
>her

I might be in the minority here, but I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with using your fetishes in a work so long as you don't go full autist.

You by definition think of them all the time. It's something you could use on a deeper scale than most, if you use it soaringly and properly.

>Claremont decided to ignore that limitation and have him remake himself as Marilyn Monroe for this particular story.

Well of course he did. The story would go from creepy to sexy if it's all about women.

I don't think most people mind Chris' fetishes being in X-menthat much, per se. It's just that once you start noticing them and seeing the pattern, it gets tiresome with how repetitive and one note it is. Just think for a second how many times female characters get mind controlled and turned into slaves for men. Or how all girls are basically bisexual if they hang around with Storm or Kitty. It's just recycling the same shit.

>Rape ape firing cummie rays at his child prostitute auction

Jesus fucking Christ, Claremont was on a whole other level.

Imagine being a young Ann Nocenti and every other week having to read Chris' newest X-men script, dreading what type of degenerate fetish Claremont has written into his script now, forced to use a big red permanent marker for writing notes such as "For the last time Chris, we're an all ages comic, this type of material is unacceptable. I've explained this to you, Mr. Shooter has told you this in five different memos why Betsy and Doug are not allowed to have sex. It's literally illegal to have sex with minors. And NO, making the adult be a woman with mind control powers does NOT fix the problem!"
