Its still the best capeshit movie of all time. Even the cringey parts come off as kinda awesome in the context of the movie

No

The Dark Knight had the most weight. The most stakes. It's because Bale was so good at being Bruce (great setup in Batman Begins) and Heath was so good at being evil. Also, The Dark Knight was actually funny in parts without compromising the fucking meaning of the movie unlike Marvel films.

The nolan batman are the only good comic book films to exist. Nothing even comes close or will.

>It's because Bale was so good at being Bruce

fuck I love practical special effects

not just trying to be a contrarian, but i think logan is the best capeshit of all. i'll grant that it had extra emotional weight due to hugh's tenure as the character, but even by itself it's a very effecting story.

i don't know if logan would have my pick for any of the best scenes, but the hotel, the farm fight against x-24, and his death scene are all pretty fantastic, as well as the intro where his limo is getting jacked.

i think for a single scene i would have to choose nightcrawler's assassination attempt at the beginning of X2.

>A scene of some poorly written asshole alien learning to grow massive in power in a stupid montage
>greatest capeshit scene ever

C'mon now, even X-Men had better origin scenes than that.

I said Bruce, not Batman, you faggot.

every time

movie didn't have enough quips 2bh

There are five moments in this scene that are funnier than anything ever done in comic book movies and it still fit well with the dramatic universe:

>>effecting
It's affecting you plebian. And x-24 was dumb as shit

Other than that this is a reasonably accurate post.

x-24 was dumb, agreed. but i enjoyed the fuck out of their brutal fights.

Logan and Jean are the only relevant characters in X-Men. The rest are marvel characters with empty powers.

No.

Charles jobbed every single movie because he was a walking deus ex machina that they had to sideline one way or another. But seeing him with dementia was still rough.

This scene is retarded and not even close to the best scene in Watchmen.

Here is the actual best scene:

Too bad the movie fell apart after 90 minutes. It could have been the best capeshit ever.

The first iron Man was pretty sweet

classic snyder kino

Iron Man was the other side of the coin. Lighthearted capeshit done right. Marvel went downhill after that film.

Why is it retarded?
Just good tight action scene, only subpar part is forcing the pin splatter in.

This is an idiotic misrepresentation of the source material that only serves as a testament to how little Snyder understood about Watchmen.

>You think you can just steal from us and walk away?
>... yeah.

I know it's not quotable but fuck that shit's still funny.

Only good thing worth remebering from Nolan's trilogy is Heath Ledger as Joker

This was the last movie I saw in theaters. I still remember the the atmosphere at the cinema on opening night. Not a single nigger in the damn room and no one even clapped or made a peep except for the part near the beginning where he landed on the van in the parking garage.

Fuck it's been nearly 10 years since I've been to a kinoplex or even paid for a movie.

He wasn't a good Bruce though.

Bruce was a serious edgelord with issues, but he was also charismatic, intelligent and driven. Bale was just a mopey, dull faggot who cried about his one-itis. Some of those are writing issues too but holy shit his portrayal of Patrick Bateman would have made a better Bruce.

Glad to see people still know the truth.

>hating on Batman Begins, especially with Dr. Crane and Ra's

Fucking die

Why did you stop?

It's a good movie, not great. Has some fundamental flaws like all Nolan movies. The chase scenes in particular are badly executed, or at least badly edited.

I always hated how in Batman Begins, Gotham is this city with all the accurate shit that should be there, with a dash of futuristic infrastructure
But in the Dark Knight, it's just an ordinary large city?

That movie was so forgettable i could not even be bothered to hate it

>has some fundamental flaws like all Nolan movies
What flaws does the Prestige have?

You have only 3 movies to build Batman. You can't have him do detective shit for 15 to 20 minutes. Although, I wish they replaced the ferry scene with a simple scene of Batman stopping a common criminal with good detective work.

Bale should have won the Oscar for his performance in Batman Begins. If you think he was mopey, go watch Keaton look like a psycho in Batman 1989. Bale was good at parties, he had plenty of heart and soul for a guy lost in his own dark world and he showed he could love with Rachel.

If it wasn't for Bale's performance in Batman Begins, you would have to have a 3 hour film showing why we should care about Bruce. He was setup beautifully in Begins.

Agreed. TDK Gotham was just Chicago.

the first 2 sam raimi spiderman films are nice

>Raimi's Spider-Man
>Iron Man

>Nolan's Batman

Wow, it's like I'm actually on reddit.

sin city

no friends/family

I know, after some time the marvel movies turned into fucking cartoons (Maybe after phase one I think).

Not enough quips?

not him, but come one user, thats not an argument

Not enough quality

Don't forget Eric Roberts in the club with that broad
>What makes you think I wanna hear you talk?
Though I'm surprised more people aren't jumping down Batman Begins throats for having humour in serious scenes like they hold against Marvel films

how do you know what reddit is like?

Not really much to comment about. The only thing I could say is that while I would appreciate more detective work from batman, that's not really my criticism.

The rest is just claims I disagree with like "he was good at parties" and "he showed he could love with Rachel." I think he was shit at parties and the entire Rachel dynamic was awful.

I'm not sure if it's because of all the TDKR memery, but casually rewatching TDK in the background sure made it seem a lot worse than I remembered. There's a lot of good stuff, but there's just so many stiff performances and I can't get over how awkward watching Batman running around is when the movie takes itself so seriously.

The toasts he makes at the parties are like his performance in American Psycho except toned down. There's also an establishing billionaire playboy scene with him jumping the water with escorts. He was playful and he conveyed his emotions well. Now, fuck off.

wow, 2 scenes in 3 movies, such performance

Where were the stiff performances? Oldman was great, Caine was great, Eckhart was great, maggie was decent and so was Bale. The only stiff performance was the stupid nerd guy who tried to out Batman and some extras. Oh, and then there's Heath's performance.

>I NEED MORE QUIPS REEEEE

Not really. He felt completely flat in those. Of course he seemed charismatic and charming because the role of those other actors were of people being charmed by him. He portrayed very little Batman-like traits across the movies and by the third was just a retard in a batsuit running into bulletfire.

If you want to make the argument the Dark Knight is a good crime movie I will readily grant that, but if you want to make the argument that they were good Batman movies I vehemently disagree.

>if i spin what he said i win

Why are you getting so upset people disagree with you about a fucking capeshit movie? are you sure you're not from reddit?

Its because most of that is from the Joker, he makes jokes, it works, and its also because those jokes dont break the tension while still being funny. "You think you can just steal from us and walk away? Yeah." works way better than "Dance off bro, you and me"

>Great performances
LMAO
They were ok, at best

Oldman was legit great in it. He was a great Gordon. Good casting choice.

My favourite scene is after Joker escapes from the Marvel Comic Universe and he has his head out the cop car window.
It lasts about 5 seconds but adds so much.

Nolan overstayed his welcome with TDKR partly due to Heath's death but the first two Batman films are strong back-to-back movies.

I always thought Nolan's trilogy was a lot like Star Wars trilogy except TDKR never had a scene near as good as Luke facing off against Sidious.

>comic book movie

No, HELL NO

youtube.com/watch?v=fGFLyA3u_rw

this, i dont think i any future casting can beat him for me, he's the perfect gordon

>Chicago
>Chicago Bakery

Decent scene but Nolan doesn't have the right eye to direct. his combat scenes are poor, his sense of world building sucks.. He is okay at creating a decent storyline but decent is being kind. He's the most over rated director out there.

JJ Abrams is better and he is trash.

This user knows what's up. Also, pick just about any scene from this movie.

>He is okay at creating a decent storyline
Those storylines are mostly created by his brother

It only seems great because it's the only good scene in an otherwise ok at best movie

this. Snyder is a hack through and through that could look at Watchmen, believe people saying that it's good and never understanding why it's good and regarded a piece of literature rather just a comic book
>dude lets add action and fight scenes lmao
>dude this sex scene is about how hot the woman is not about the inablility of "heroes" to have normal dull couch sex lmao HALLLELUUUJAH
>dude best of 60's soundtrack lmao
I hate what I saw this fucking much that I am happy to see that everyone now knows it's Snyder's incompetence after BvS / WW / JL combo
