I have two short story ideas with similar elements and I'm worried they might be too similar to each other. Both have to do with ladies and boys with cybernetic limbs.
In the first story a boy loses his arm or leg in a space accident. He's fitted with a new cybernetic limb, but during the rehab he's depressed and feels extremely body conscious. His coach, a woman that also has similar prosthetics, shows him he has no reason to feel ashamed about his body.
The other story is a boy who's an amateur mechanic that helps out a friend of his big sister with a robotic leg. The clinics are too expensive, but he offers to tinker on her leg, so she decides to return the favor.
