Secret Storytime [And maybe others]

Going to take a small break from Spider-Man tonight and instead post something I haven't ever seen posted from start to finish, Jonathan Hickman's Secret. I think one of things that severely hurt this series was that Bodenheim was DRAGGING HIS ASS in getting his pages done which made the wait between issues unreasonably long. This is a series that reads so much better in TPB form.

For those interested in the Spider-Universe threads. Links are enclosed below.

If its a secret then why are you posting here???

I can't keep a secret.

I'm a sucker for upper and lower case dialog. Also this art is fucking amazing. I really don't have any right to complain when it looks like this. Hope he manages to finish The Dying and the Dead before I'm 30.

I think he's made his point.

...

Like the title.

...

...

"Steadfast" is such a cool name for a company.

I literally can't think of a better comeback than that.

>Is this a joke.
Grant is a cheeky bastard.

Loving this so far.

...

>FriskyBoy15 isn't a password, Mr. Ames...It's a personality disorder.
>Sit down.
Mrs. White is savage.

Really enjoyed Grant's speech. I'd invest in his security package.

Looks like Hickman is channeling his inner Bendis.

...

...

...

Oh snap

...

This is pretty neat. How many issues are there?

...

Feel the need to spoiler the next couple pages because it's a great scene.

It might just be because I had a few drinks, but I feel like Hickman's dialog in this series is leaps and bounds better than what he brought to his Mainline Avengers series. His new Avengers though was quite enjoyable as was Avengers World (but that may be because Spencer Co-Wrote it)

Only seven issues, which means we will definitely finish it in this thread.

Now I'm curious as to what they tried to steal.

God damn

Dis gud so far.

How much of it is there?

...

...

...

...

130 pages left but that's including all the extras and stuff.

Also Hickman is a huge fan of having white pages in between certain scenes which is kinda aggravating because Sup Forums keeps sayiing duplicate entry.

...

...

...

Is the story complete?

I believe so. The series suffered many many delays but it finally finished.

Thanks!

I remember Abhay Khosla's review of this book where he trashed it and said it was a book he totally loved despising.

This comic seems generally inoffensive.

...

...

Completely agree. This book tends to be overlooked in Hicmkman's catalog but I still found it enjoyable. Hell, most of his stuff I really enjoy.
>Red Mass for Mars
>Manhattan Projects (I need to re-read)
>East of West (I really need to re-read)
>Secret Warriors
>Fantastic Four/FF
>The Red Wing

I actually haven't gotten all the way through Pax Romana or The Nightly News.

This is great and I appreciate you doing it :D

If I finish at a reasonable time I'd be willing to do another Hickman story. Just tell me which one you want.

...

Hickman can be hit or miss for me but I think he had an alright handle on the Fantastic Four.

I went and reread that review and I'm reminded why I don't really regard a lot of highly praised comic reviewers as highly as I used to.

Could you be a pal and post a link? I'm trying to track it down and failing

I've never gotten to read his FF run. I loved The Manhattan Projects but read them recently enough I don't know if they'd be best at storytime right now.

...

...

His Fantastic Four run is amazing, but definitely not doable with only two threads.

Oh my god. I think I just figured out what I can post afterward.

...

Dammit. Didn't get to finish.
>I can post Hickman's Ultimates!!!!
