Why do you hate me, Sup Forumsnrad?

Why do you hate me, Sup Forumsnrad?
I just want to loved and play with you...

Leave your brother alone, /mlp/. He just went through a pretty rough divorce.

With who?
Didnt you know that /mlp/ was just forably removed from Sup Forums after.their whirlwind romance,?

It's been 18 days, he should get over it already.

/ck/, remember? They absolutely adored each other before they split.

That was the happiest I've ever seen Sup Forums. I think, for that one day, they remembered what it was like back when they used to come to Sup Forums just to shitpost.

You're the worst sibling-board ever.

/ic/'s so lucky, I wish we could have a sister like /i/

/mlpol/ was the sister we wish we had

you never knew when to STFU,go play with Sup Forums

You killed /qa/!!!

How was season 7?

You were our downfall

Sup Forums took you as soon as you were born, and as they did, all the internet became your oyster. Because of the fact that Sup Forums garnered at least 30% of board traffic at that time, it had the most newfags who wanted a cheap shot at getting themselves a medal for being oh so quirky for the sake of being quirky. it spread liek wildfire in all its obnoxious hue, but in most ways, that didn't affect us. Save for a single, marked by mods general, you were mostly unseen here.

But then of course, the frenzy you were causing quickly gave birth to uproar. Those afflicted by you were enraged, and swore in their wrath to find the source of the problem and eliminate it.

Then, they found us.

Did we start the little fire from which you were wrought? Yes. Were we the ones who poured gasoline on that campfire? No.

Sadly, in spite of this, those wretched souls from Sup Forums, Sup Forums, and numerous other boards turned their eyes to us. We were a small board then. No one knew or cared about us and we were just fine with that. Things were cool back then, and no, I don't mean to say it was never bad (anyone who remembers the ATLA finale would rightfully laugh me to scorn if that were the case), but what I do mean to say is that we were never mainstream.

But now, seven long years later, we've gone from a peaceful suburb to a violent Burroughs in the inner city of Sup Forums, consisting of boards such as Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums, and so forth.

Everyone's been witch hunting us for years now. They've flooded us to death, and generations of newfags have taken after their shitposting ways. Only two years after Sup Forums experienced it, we too fell victim to the curse of a sudden influx of newfags who never learned to lurk, and who shit on everything they see in a desperate vie for attention and (you)s. Over the course of seven years, it has been set in stone. It is now impossible to simply say that the shitposters are exclusively outsiders,

They've been here for seven years.

>judging the quality of a season by two episodes
That was your first mistake, degenerate

So good then.

Given the Loud House threads, Star vs. threads, and SU threads around here getting rid of Ponies was really hypocritical.

There is nothing wrong with star vs threads.

[nods muzzle and hooves]

>implying that any of these groups are mutually exclusive

Unfortunately, just because the tunor is removed does not mean the cancer is removed.

*tumor

mlp was more than just a tumor. see/b/ and all the reddit using newfags found thereon spread it across the internet like wildfire. Sup Forums wasn't big enough back then to propagate an internet phenomenon of that magnitude. Star and SJ are more or less Sup Forums exclusive, though I'm sorry to say that the latter seems to have incited a lot of attention from other boards. Notice that with any big event, shitposting rises to unprecedented heights, each catastrophe outdoing the last.

That was first /leftypol/ and then /jp/

It definitely caused a shitstorm back then but if people could post ponies again nothing special would happen

That was pretty much my point. A lot of bad habits spread from the mlp fanbase.

Those habits are from Sup Forums culture in general

mlp made Sup Forums think it can shitpost threads off the board

>Given the Loud House threads, Star vs. threads, and SU threads around here getting rid of Ponies was really hypocritical
You don't understand, nothing has come close to the whirlwind of shit that was brought about by MLP. The worst we get with any of those shows is a catalog where like 9 or 10 threads are about a specific show, and those discussions are relatively well contained ("""relatively""", no collection of autists is ever truly contained on this site). Back in the heyday of My Little Pony, there were days where literally the ENTIRE BOARD was full of technicolor donkeys. There was no escape, and it spread throughout the entire site (even tiny boards like /diy/ were bombarded with fucking ponies), so we needed a containment board to mitigate the damages.

Havent watched MLP since 2015
is it dead now?

>is it dead now
Season 7 aired this Saturday and season 8 was already confirmed

>theatrical movie coming out in October
>Season 8 confirmed for next year
Nope.

I don't hate you, you just need to go.

mlp ban killed this site.

It let everyone know that forcefully pushing your autism would get anything banned and removed.

I'm glad star is Sup Forums exclusive. Unless it triggers someone hard it's not leaving the board.

You clearly weren't around at the time.

why mlp
why did it spread?

Because it made people upset

It's a goldmine of reaction images.

Not him but I was, it wasn't nearly as bad but the feedback loop of autism caused by even using mlp reaction images garnered enough attention people did it on purpose.

Looking back only triggered autists gave a fuck but now triggered autists run this site.

Too bad they can't be used anywhere

It's a good show with fun characters and a creative world and a unique aesthetic. It's animated in flash but it's actually done extremely well that even traditional only autists like me can stomach it.

>Looking back only triggered autists gave a fuck but now triggered autists run this site.

Sadder words have been spoken

but not many

>Barney
>good

Good. The less I have to see that shit the better

How the fuck do hooves nod?

>feeding (you)s
faggot

I have a restraining order.

>Sup Forums garnered at least 30% board traffic at that time
Jesus
>Seven years
Fuck it has been that long? Fuck moot is probably laughing at us right now at how he left this sinking ship before US election

/mlp/, you're better than this shit-hole. I don't browse you but I know that you're anything but a normalfag tumblr-infested shithole. You don't need your faggot brother to approve anything you do, you go ahead and stroke that horse cock.

>It's a good show with fun characters and a creative world and a unique aesthetic.

I'm sorry, I watched a very good portion of this show and I can't say any of that is true.

Maybe it was just too over-hyped for me, but I really don't see what the big deal is.

Remember when you could have loli threads on Sup Forums?

Remember when Sup Forums, Sup Forums, and Sup Forums were total bros? Remember when we would go out of our ways to wish each other happy holidays? Remember that shit?

>People freaking out over the slightest hint of MLP content was what spurred on the shitposting.

The over-sensitivity to MLP content was a reaction to bronies becoming genuinely insufferable everywhere on the internet.

Regardless, the cancer of that fandom eclipses any of the relatively petty complaints people have towards Sup Forums's current subculture fandoms.

Back in early 09, yes

late '08 was the beginning of the end. Chanology was the first nail in the coffin and gamergate was the last. The elections were just the wreath on top.

This guy gets it.

>he says this when the SU fandom has a killcount

I can never decide whether it's hilarious or sad that Sup Forums, the so-called asshole of the internet, is still this afraid of ponies 7 years later.

That's because the mods still have no intention of removing Rule 15 from this site and thus establish groupthink amongst all those who follow their rules.

Even when the positive reactions from the unexpected /mlpol/ merger came along, the mods still refused to answer their pleas to restore it.

Basically, it's not Sup Forums that's afraid of ponies, it's the mods who are.

lightning strikes
maybe once maybe twice
oh and it lights up the night

Honestly, you could probably remove GRIS from the rules and nobody would notice until Barneyfag brings it to /qa/'s attention in twelve threads across fifteen IP addresses demanding the rule be reinstated.

>bronies becoming genuinely insufferable everywhere on the internet.
To be fair this was the result of the fandom becoming the meeting ground of rejects, someone just thought mixing all the flavors of the autism ice cream was a great idea which ended with the fandom being filled with people who had zero self awareness (read:i like to eat diapers, why don't you accept me haters? D:Regardless, the cancer of that fandom eclipses any of the relatively petty complaints people have towards Sup Forums's current subculture fandoms.
When you look back there really wasn't anything special about the show, it was just at the right place like a snowball at the top of a cliff, to this day you still see people accusing flavors of the moment for being "the next mlp" just because of a handful of shitty threads

>Barneyfag brings it to /qa/'s attention
He can't: You can't even post on /qa/ anymore after mods froze it due to it being taken over by /mlpol/.

The mods are so chicken shit of ponies that if a cartoon were to become popular on Sup Forums then the mods would immediately kick the generals to /trash/

>>/qa/

user, I...

Oh, hey, you're right. I didn't see that.

I guess people loved /mlpol/ that much.

>it's the mods who are.
Yeah cause then they'd have to actually work.

When will it ever end? I stopped watching at the Season 4 finale because late Season 3 and the entirety of Season 4 was shit, it's just Hasbro's Spongebob at this point.

I think the timeline was something like this:
>Oh, hey, a new MLP show. Looks like shit.
>Oh, hey, turns out the new MLP ain't too bad. I'll keep watching it.
>Oh, hey, turns out a lot of us here on Sup Forums like the new MLP. Anybody got fan art?
>Oh, hey, check out this fan art of Rainbow Dash and Applejack being cute.
>Oh, hey, check out this fan art of Rainbow Dash and Applejack being lesbians.
>Oh, hey, check out this fan art of humanized versions of Rainbow Dash and Applejack having sex.
>Oh, hey, read this self-insert fanfiction of my Original Character (Do Not Steal) where I seduce and fornicate with Rainbow Jack and Appledash at the same time.
>Oh, hey, what the fuck, we're banned from Sup Forums and have to post on a new board entirely.
>
>
>You know what we need?
>An MLP convention.

I may be missing a few things.

i want /cock/ back

>they lift the rule
>every single false flaggot goes nuclear at the same time pretending to be an angry ponyfag
>who knows how many boards getting spammed for days
its not worth it, at least the board became more self contained over the years, specially now that shitposters started to false flag other boards

That's why you only lift it for a few boards at a time for the boards that seem to hate them the least, such as [s4s] and /tg/.
Fuck, you could test it out on /vip/ since that was proposed as an experimental board.
And obviously, Sup Forums.

>Even when the positive reactions from the unexpected /mlpol/ merger came along, the mods still refused to answer their pleas to restore it
because /mlpol/ wouldn't work on the long run, if you actually went to /mlp/ you would know that the board has a very delicate environment that would be destroyed if it was merged with a fast board like Sup Forums, it would be a matter of days until it went to shit and just became Sup Forums with furry porn

Also Sup Forums faggots samefagging for their own personal gain without caring about how /mlp/ would be affected by that decision

The very least they could've done is removed GR15 for Sup Forums, that would be the closest thing that could be done. But again, the mods don't want to do their jobs.
