Obviously he was going easy on her and I think most of you know that. If not, that's sad. TLJ was awful however and Kylo and Luke deserved better.

Kylo did not have 15 years with Luke. He didn't start training until he was 23 and in less than a year he burnt down the temple. He had the same raw power as Rey.

It's the director's own fault for targetting an audience with an attention span of a goldfish. Kids aren't able to remember that Kylo's been grievously wounded, bleeding out, tired as fuck, or doesn't actually want to harm Rey. JJ should have added more reminders for these.

This is still something people bitch about? Did any of you even think when you were watching the movie? Kylo didn't beat her because he wasn't trying to beat her, he was trying to convert her, it was a direct order from snoke. The longer he went without killING her the more likely he was to make a mistake against someone who A) is also naturally strong with the force B) impassioned and enraged, making her strong C) does have some kind of martial training that can be translated into wielding a lightsaber at a novice level. He had her on the defensive the whole time and only got btfo when she focused and surprised him. It's not that hard to see this shit, but people can't seem to let it the fuck go.
