I dunno, I didn't like MoS or BvS very much, didn't even bother with Suicide Squad because it was obvious that it would be shit.
I kinda just wrote off the entire franchise after that and told myself that there's no point spending money on a ticket for another film I probably won't like just because it adapts characters I have an attachment to.
But, looking at Wonder Woman... I feel like this one could actually be good?
At first I was like, "why are they setting it during WWI when Wonder Woman comics never took place in WWI? SONIC'S ARMS ARE NOT BLUE!"
But the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. There are already a million period pieces about WWII. Media is obsessed with WWII. There is an entire channel dedicated to WWII (History).
How many films are WWI period pieces? And it fits with the premise of Diana's origin: she comes to help Earth during a time of unprecedented strife. And WWI was certainly unprecedented. New technology made warfare especially brutal, and unlike WWII, there were no clear "good guys" or "bad guys," it was just a clusterfuck of a conflict. That's actually more interesting to have Wondie deal with than just fighting Nazis.
Even though it still looks like it has some blue filter, it's definitely more colourful than the Snyder films, and we can see the hues in Wondie's costume a lot more vibrantly than we could in BvS.
Guys... I think this could actually be a good movie... but am I just setting myself up for disappointment again?

Nice blog. I'm looking forward to it.

Only if you let the hype go to your head, user.

>women are better than your shitty dark man movies
Go away Tumblr. Go far far away.

Im with you on this maybe its just the trailer but it does look like it has the potential to be good. The one worrying part were the rumors when they were filming that it wasnt gonna be good coming from the set. but either way im still excited for it there seems to be enough time between BvS and Suicide Squad for DC to course correct I think and I think we'll see that in Wonder Woman.
Jace Garcia
To get an idea of how dumb this movie is going to be, just take a look at Gadot's interviews.
Joshua Allen
>there were no clear "good guys" or "bad guys," Shut up Wilhelm.
Gabriel Hall
you didn't need to add that last word and it still would have made sense
Brayden Long
>it's definitely more colourful than the Snyder films, and we can see the hues in Wondie's costume a lot more vibrantly than we could in BvS. Still don't get why this was an issue.

Reminder, mods deleted a perfectly fine thread about GOTG but let this one live. Mods are DC payed shill.

DCucks get cucked again.

>Period War Movie >Greek/Roman theme hero >Woman
This is going to be a dated/Old and antiquated disaster

The things I heard about the production didn't inspire me with hope, either. So many re-writes, so many hands in the pot, WB ordering a bunch of scripts and then making some Franken-script out of the "best parts" of each, a director leaving due to "creative differences" (that screams "STUDIO-CONTROLLED MOVIE"), Zack Snyder's name being in the writing credits...
But despite that, if I ignore everything I've heard about the production and just look at what's been released so far... it looks like this might actually be a good one. Cautiously excited.
Lol, making a post that had at least one feeemale in it actually managed to trigger somebody. Never change, Sup Forums.
I have no problem with "dark man movies," my favourite cape films are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
I just don't like shit films. Regardless of whether they are dark shit films (BvS) or light shit films (Green Lantern). Any tone is fine so long as it serves the material and the movie is actually good.
Grayson Carter
>it's definitely more colourful than the Snyder films,
This Wonder Woman movie looks like the TNT colorized versions of black-and-white classics movies Something's not right
Wyatt Allen
If dropping a nuclear fucking bomb on Hollywood would bring an end to these movies and mean that the Wonder Woman movie would be wiped of the face of the earth and never be seen, I would do it. Thats how fucking bad this shit is. The very idea of forcing myself to sit down and watch this movie literally makes me feel sick to my stomach, so o probably won't do it. I didn't even see the Superman/Batman movie. I didn't care. After the abomination that was "Man of Shit" my brain just couldn't take it anymore. These shitheads have no fucking clue what they're doing anymore. These characters have been permanently damaged by pop culture, the battle is over. They won.
Dylan Wright
Maybe Im wrong but I thought Zack did the first script then they ordered a rewrite. Id definitely take that over a mainly Snyder written script

It just seems lazy to try to make sure audiences realize this is "serious" and "mature" by adding filters that remove all colour. It just turns everything to mud and doesn't enhance the viewing experience.
Take a look at the Nolan films. He created a dark atmosphere without just digitally filtering everything to shit. Had more to do with the palettes they chose for set pieces, environments, clothing design, etc. than just opening some colour-balance dialogue box and setting the contrast to 25%.
Sebastian Green
Everything about this movie feels so outdated and unappealing to me
From her costume to the set, to her lore
We need to modernise Wonder Woman asap, without going full sjw retard.
Landon Reed
>It just seems lazy to try to make sure audiences realize this is "serious" and "mature" by adding filters that remove all colour. It just turns everything to mud and doesn't enhance the viewing experience. Disagree on all counts. Colors set a tone, doesn't mean it's lazy or tryhard, just different.
Also Snyder's films are much more stylized than Nolan's so that's a bad comparison.
Aiden Butler
nevermind story is still by Snyder but screen writing was done by Johns.
"screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg"
Jaxon Carter
I also wanted a modern Wonder Woman movie that dealt with contemporary geo-political issues like the military-industrial complex and all that.
But I dunno, if an adaptation looks good, I try not to be anal about it not looking exactly like the movie I would have wanted in an ideal world. It's very easy for fans with a deep attachment to these characters to get bitter and bratty that way, and I've been that fan before, and I've found that it just torpedoes my own chances of enjoying myself rather than doing anything positive.
Owen Walker
Also Watchmen was a pretty damned "colorful" movie so yeah that shitty meme needs to end. Also at least his films look look like films and not big budget TV shows
Elijah Nelson
All I wanted was an actress with even an infinitesimal amount of personal charm.
But instead I got this IDF gym teacher/anorexic "beauty" queen rattling around in a bad prop costume.
Isaac Torres
Sometimes they still give story credits to people who wrote some first draft that was thrown out. Probably has shit to do with contracts and royalties. Like, "we'll give you money for your work even if it turned out to be shit so that we're still on good business terms and you don't end up suing us for our product being 2% similar to your version that we didn't pay you for."
With any hope, Snyder wrote this in name only, but all his fingerprints have been scrubbed away with Ajax and a Brillo Pad.
Ryder Nguyen
Agreed
Tyler Cox
Yeah, every Marvel film after, like, Iron Man II or something looks visually worse than even the lazy Snyder-filter films. That doesn't really make the Snyder films much better. Hollywood in general is becoming more shit at colour with every passing film.
Snyder's older stuff (300, Watchmen) didn't look too bad for the material being adapted. But MoS, it's like he thought "people will think this is realistic and grounded if I make everything grey."
Ayden Turner
>Yeah, every Marvel film after, like, Iron Man II or something looks visually worse than even the lazy Snyder-filter films.
Horse Shit Even smaller efforts like Ant-Man and Strange are superior to Snyder's ugly filter work. GotG is infinitely better looking than any of Snyder's films.
Nicholas Wood
>GotG is infinitely better looking than any of Snyder's films. pfffft
Christopher Myers
Guardians of the Galaxy is probably the best looking MCU film and Thor looks alright too.
Jonathan Sanchez
>Being able to enjoy things is a bad thing now I hate what this website has become
Wyatt Harris
>Even smaller efforts like Ant-Man and Strange are superior to Snyder's ugly filter work.
Yeah no. They also look like TV shows. Watchmen looks better than 90% of what the MCU puts out that isn't Guardians
Connor Evans
GotG is different because its a weird space movie which calls for weird "alien" colors thats why it has color
Gabriel Collins
So where are the nominations for Best Visual Effects or Cinematography? Apparently the actual professional movie-makers who nominate for the technical awards completely disagree with you, and agree with me that it's unimpressive, murky shit.
If Marvel films can score these nominations, why can't Snyderkino? I know how pertinent the Oscars are nowadays.
Angel Gonzalez
Best Visual Nominations: Iron Man 2 The Avengers Iron Man 3 Winter Soldier GotG Doctor Strange
Snyderkino: 0
Jayden Kelly
Marvel Academy Awards: 0
DCEU brought to you by Zach Synder Academy Awards: 1
I don't want to live in this world.
Lucas Watson
Just pirate this shit, wait for reviews or the word of mouth before spending your money on this shit.
Since BVS I took the decision of never paying to whatch the DCEU again. Seeing how SS turned out, I'm glad that I did it.
Mason Hill
>Yeah, every Marvel film after, like, Iron Man II or something looks visually worse than even the lazy Snyder-filter films.
There was an attempt. here's a (You) for your troubles.
Jacob Butler
>DCEU brought to you by Zach Synder
Suicide Squad was a complete about-face from everything Snyder had tried to establish tonally and visually. It's WB walking away from him to see if their own GotG would fly. And given that it did better domestically than the larger-budgeted "greatest gladiator match of all time", I'd say it's the movie that drew the Snyderkino era to a premature end.
But yeah, it was nice makeup artistry.
Aiden Carter
Hollywood thinks that colour only happens in space.
Even though space probably has the least colour of anywhere.
Logan Watson
Probably but Hollywood loves to think of it as an exotic world with exotic life forms and shit like that
Adrian Rogers
I gotta say that BvS looked better than MoS, at least. MoS was low-contrast shit. BvS had a bit more hue and style to it, and some scenes looked pretty good. But some scenes also looked really shitty (Doomsday fight was an eyesore).
I'd say BvS colour balance was better than the typical MCU film's, but MoS was probably worse than MCU's colour.
