It looks like it. I wonder what ends up happening that makes Peter and Rocket end up talking about being "Two time Galaxy savers". Maybe The Sovereign were up to some bad shit and the Guardians end up stumbling into it by crossing them.

Close. They all crash-land in a forest planet and meet Ego and Mantis, then the Ravagers show up and capture Rocket and Groot after Yondu is overthrow, which leads to a battle where Nebula escapes and joins the Ravagers.

I don't remember Rocket and Groot meeting Ego.

Nope. He's an asshole but the true villains are Ayesha and Taserface.

Last "leak" I heard Taserface mutinies against Yondu, and they work for Ego, who wants to dominate the to bring it to order. Film will address the elders of the universe too But could be bullshit
