So we're just supposed to forget that The Knights of Ren (a genuinely cool, original concept) was never a thing?

So we're just supposed to forget that The Knights of Ren (a genuinely cool, original concept) was never a thing?

ya

why is disney doing it ?
if not all the inconsinsenties (and casino plot) this movie would have been somwhere near 9/10

:(

Knights of Ren is my jam

They were the pathetic royal guards who Rey and Kylo killed in Snoke's chamber.

we're they played by the Indonesian guys from The Raid?

makes no sense, stop saying it

>a genuinely cool, original concept)

>DURRR I KNOW WHAT THE DIRECTOR WANTED ME TO THINK
Russian Tomatoes shills don't have lives that's why they can shill here all day.

You're supposed to forget a lot of things.
You're supposed to forget that Luke himself made the map to the island for someone to find him, only to act surprised when someone does find him. You're supposed to forget and deny anything that every happened both in TFA and in all of the OT because none of it matters and TLJ IS ART with a BOLD NEW INTERESTING MOVES and yeah someone kill me already.

>So we're just supposed to forget that The Knights of Ren (a genuinely cool, original concept) was never a thing?
Don't forget that we never

...found out how Anakin's lightsaber was recovered
...found out who Snoke was
...found out why Rey has so much power

If that happened when they destroyed the academy why do they wear all the uniforms?
nothing
nothing at all makes sense in nuwars

No, that was Kanja Klub

they should've been them, rian is a hack

was this shot from Rey's flashbacks or something?

>found out why Rey has so much power
So little girls have a role model

Because Kylo only spared the ones who had cool cosplays of the Seven Samurais since he's a huge weeaabo.

Knights of "Guy"

Let's have him immediately attack the guy they're named after he willfully ascends to the throne in a matter befitting the Dark Side

They are just other people trained by Snoke.

I think they're saving them for the third movie.

Luke set this up when he says that Ben took off with a handful of students (The Knights of Ren) and killed the rest.

They'll need something big for the third movie, and this is probably it.

yeah it's not like I thought, that they were a vader cargo cult, fuck disney, we all anons should be writers holy shit

They'll be in the next one, just wait and see.

>So little girls have a role model
Oh and don't forget the flashback of someone leaving the planet only to find out her parents sold her off for water and later died...on the same planet...

No they weren't.

pretty sure they are going to end up like the red royal guards

There's 8 guards, they are just the rehashed royal guards. There's 6 KOR. All the other material they released, the visual dictionary, the aftermath books show it was a different idea

knights of ren, not knights of kylo ren
kylo is the master of the knights of ren, he's not ren
snoke could be snoke ren for all we know

J.J. made up the Knights, but hoped someone else would expand on it, Johnson obviously couldn't fit it into his movie so BYE BYE OH WELL.

J.J wrote a line and plot point that he didn't know the answer to. He was hoping someone else would figure it out. Thus is was never mentioned again.

Same thing as the lightsaber about Snoke. It's poor writing if they even mention exactly who he was in episode IX.

They already screwed up why Rey has so much power. Even if Kylo telling her they were nobodies was a lie, the impact is terrible for a reveal in IX. The structure for these movies are all over the place. My problem with these stories are in VII Kylo clearly says "you still want to kill me?" when first meeting Rey. And also choking the guy once he mentioned a girl, "What girl?!".

>universe actually introduces two decent concepts
>no they have to be the same because poetry

>J.J. made up _____, but hoped someone else would expand on it

I'm shocked the mastermind behind lost would do this

This shit will get answered in a shitty comic book a bit after it's not answered in IX, won't it?

A good question...for another day

>a genuinely cool, original concept
How much fucking anime do you watch? This is why fans shouldn't write movies

oh god her scene was cringe as fuck in tlj

That's exactly the point I'm making. He came up with cool questions, but the answers someone decided on were awful.

>(a genuinely cool, original concept)
well it's intriguing, but what's cool about it? do we even know anything about them?
or is the fact they're so mysterious cool? in that case why would you complain that they didn't expand on them?
