Am I the only one?
youre autistic
yes, it was pretty bad in retrospect
still better than TFA lmao
>like OT and R1
>despise everything else
Am I the only one?
It was unnecessary but moderately entertaining
I don't remember anyone's name. I swear they didn't even bother to give us names.
Slip space rupture detected
Where is Kyle Katarn? Fuck you Gary Whitta.
this, but i really liked the movie
>dislike Star wars
>Didn't watch the new movie.
If you don't watch a franchise, why support it SO THEY END UP MAKING MORE? Wow op, not only are you a fag, you're fucking dumb.
I'm still convinced the asian guy and his boyfriend with the big gun are literally not called by name one time. What a shitshow.
Definitely better than the abortion I just watched today
>implying I've paid to watch any star wars movie
>implying I haven't seen every single star wars movie
Is it just me or this movie was like a shitty version of Halo Reach? AKA Delivery bois sacrificing themselves to get some shit onboard a ship
I've just finished rewatching OT and now I'm thinking about watching R1 and stopping there. I want to get the definitive Star Wars experience. Not really interested in PT (saw it 10 years ago and completely forgot it) and definitely not going to watch Mouse Wars. Is it worth it to check R1 in addition to OT or is it universe-destroying like the latest movie?
I had to do mental gymnastics thinking it was a Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors movie
it worked though and i enjoyed it
R1 is the ONLY competent non-OT Star Wars film. It's not as good as 4-6, but it's good enough to be canon.
>Is it worth it to check R1 in addition to OT or is it universe-destroying like the latest movie?
I actually liked it more than TFA and TLJ. If anything it works as a standalone story that operates within the confines of the OT.
Be completely honest OP. Are you a capeshit fan?
>inb4 le name one character from the cast
Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, K2SO, Orson Krennic, Chirrut Imwe, Baze Malbus, Bodhi Rook, Galen Erso and Saw Gerrera. All off the top of my head.
From the moment they hit that tropical planet the movie is great. Usually the third act is the act that is a let down but its the other way round here.
I'm not a huge fan of any of it but R1 is the only one besides the OT and Revenge of the Sith that I've rewatch rewatched in the last 3 or 4 years.
Agreed. Rogue One was the only Star Wars movie I've liked. Dislike the rest of them.
>mfw
At the very least, it proves me theory wrong that people only like it for the Star Wars iconography. I seriously can’t remember anything else about the movie and it being held in high regard baffles me. The characters were prequel tier boring
Nope. I like the OT and I thought Rogue One was pretty solid. Hated the prequels, hated TFA, and didn't care for TLJ.
disliked the movie in the cinemas. watched with subtitled on netflix and liked it. actually understood peoples names, whitakers stupid accent and all the spic mumbling
best of the 3

yes, because you're a damage control disney shill
die in a fire
the characters had potential but went nowhere
at least the story flowed naturally and didn't have pants on head fucking retardation going on
better than the 2 recent films
That movie is a fucking trash heap
>doesn't gives a damm about hollyjew franchise
Am I the only one?
>the characters had potential but went nowhere
They fucking sacrificed themselves and died
no.
rogue one was actually coherent
easily had the best action
and i liked that they died at the end
I know people say that Nu-Wars always plays it safe but I liked that Rogue One killed off all of its characters for a one-off story especially when I've seen the sentiment that they could have easily milked them. Even if he saw it coming halfway through, my dad was pretty sad that Jyn ended up dying since he found her to be a more competent female protagonist than Rey.
>closes google tabs
My favorite part was when Jan did the thing and Kyle was nowhere to be found.
How do you like R1 when it relies so heavily on you liking the OT?
Rogue One killed Star Wars for me. I was looking forward to seeing it since it got decent reviews from people who were sick of Star Wars like I was, but when I watched it, it was forgettable and unnecessary and I still have no idea why it was made besides money. People's biggest concern was that it's was going to be a story that didn't need telling, and that's exactly what it was. I don't think I can ever get hyped or even mildly interested in anything Star Wars again. I'm pretty sick of the entire thing as a whole. Fucking annoying at this point.
>it's about the death star again
>not playing it safe
The only thing they did was kill everyone off and I don't see how that's anything special, even for Star Wars. Tell me when someone gets brutally murdered or there's something resembling an adult situation. Predictably killing off boring characters is a 2/10 in terms of edge.
Where did I say that they didn't play it safe? I even acknowledged that it's the most common sentiment.
You're a true patrician my friend, bask in it.
