What are some good horror comics/cartoons?
Please no ito, we've seen it a million times, its good but you can only get spooked by the same comics so much.

Through The Woods was fantastic

Unfortunately horror is a severely underdone genre in cartoons and comics.

>no ito
I really hate how ends his shit. There's some good ending but a lot of them are open ended and leaves me unfulfilled.
Also The Enigma of Amigara Fault is over rated

I tend to agree. I appreciate Ito for his grotesque creativity, but the man can't write a proper ending to save his life.

Wheres that gif from?

I really like Josh Simmons' comics, he does a lot of very disturbing shit

For something aimed towards kids, Over the Garden Wall was some good animation.

Where the Dead go to Die.

Beautiful Darkness.

Where the dead go to die.

Guaranteed to make even the hardest of men get goosebumps.

>this .gif is slow enough it doesnt seem to move, but if kept on long enough it surely changes and then if its too long it bursts with sound and horrifying images
aight
>its so scary itll close your browser and fry your harddrive
pushing it, but fine, gotta have the spooky consequence, wouldnt be much if it was just a startling gif
>AND THEN THE PROPLE THAT VIEWED IT ALL DIE AND THEYRE FOUND SKINNED AND THERES BLOOD EVERYWHERE AND THEY HAVE HYPER REALISTIC SMILEY FACES CARVED INTO THEIR HYPER REALISTIC BODIES AND MOOT SAYS ITS NOT REAL BUT HES COVERING IT UP ACTUALLY AND IF YOU TALK ABOUT IT YOU GET A HYPER REALISTIC BAN FOREVER
wew lad

beautiful darkness is horrifying, but i dunno if id call it horror, but then again i dunno what id call it

yeah it was made when the shit pasta boom happened.

Nameless

That's 2 edgy 4 me bullshit, imo

What about Locke and Key?

My nigger.

Fear(s) of the Dark is a totally decent French horror anthology.

...

...

Clean Room is pretty good.

American Vampire.
Fell has some Silent Hill-like atmosphere though I wouldn't call it horror.

Welcome to creepypastas.
Even few that I like have the exact same problem (cough normalpornfornormalpeople cough)

Normalporn has the stuff the narrator discovers gradually build up into becoming more and more fucked up, and it's not beyond believable. Not exactly the same as making up satanic effects for a fucking .gif.

I once opened a crumpled battered looking comic book I found in the bathroom and it had a huge shit streak on page 5. It was the scariest thing I ever saw in a comic.

>Stephen Gammell will never be the artist for a horror comic

...

>Please no ito
Suehiro Maruo and Hideshi Hino are two other good horror managaka you might want to check out.
There Locke & Key, which desu i didn't find that scary but is still a pretty good comic.

He writes the endings like that so it sticks in your mind after you finish and lets your own imagination flesh it out.

If he explained everything fully it wouldn't be as powerful.

>that gif
Alright.. I'm actually a believer of paranormal activity so fuck it, feel free to call me retarded on this. Did anything creepy and relevant to that happy gif really happen in the past? Or was it really bullshit?

You have to be 18 or older to post on this site.

I second this. Really well done and interesting scary stories. The wolf splash page is my favorite

...

Nigga, I hope you didn't actually look at that gif.

If you did, avoid Windows and don't stay out late this week.

user please hel

user where did you get all those pictures of my childhood?

current dark thread:

Derelict has some horror elements, pic related precedes a kind of flashback. It's moved to tumblr due to main site security issues but still worth reading.

/x/ please go, every creepypasta is some shitty fake story created by a 13 year old.

the last user who wrote that was found dead in his basement with a meme put under his toungue

>google "spooky black and white photo"
>make a really fast slideshow with the first 20 you find
this .gif fucking sucks

I like Joe Lansdale in general and he's done some horror comics for Vertigo, Dark Horse and Avatar.

Xavier's Renegade Angel, while not horror, is particularly upsetting. Special mention goes to the Deja Vu episodes during season 2.
