The agenda is obvious, to make America a Christian nation, deploying fascist methods to silence, suppress, and eliminate opposition.
Populations will be lead to believe that natural disasters, famine, and disease, are God's Judgement on the nation for its acceptance of "the goddless", anyone labeled a "liberal", anyone labeled LGBT, anyone accepting of Muslims.
And it will be argued that the only possible way to thwart the nation's descent into total destruction is total elimination of those who oppose "God's will", aka anyone and everyone who opposes the regime's policies.
Then mass exterminations will occur, you will see crisis cults form on American soil calling for the blood of nonbelievers to be shed as a last resort for the appeasement of an angry God.
And if you think I'm crazy for typing this, just look at the actual right-wing fanatics who are claiming that such measures must be taken to avert God's judgement... It won't be long.

Most of the themes are implicitly religious in nature and the symbolism and motifs are explicitly religious. The statue of Pietà is purposely mimicked at one point and both faith and hope are key themes which are underpinned with a fuck tonne of religious imagery and iconography. The title itself is a biblical reference to Pslam 90:3:

It's not a Christian film in the literal sense but beneath the subtext is a clear religious message. This article is a nice write up:

So I'm going off memory, but the pesky atheist professor is run down by a car towards the end of the movie and the reaction of one of the minor characters is to essentially give an impromptu sermon which leads the professor to eventually see the light and convert. He dies after doing so. For some reason, the film then cuts to a concert wherein a really sappy Christian rock band plays some God awful music piece and the dude from Duck Dynasty gives a speech about the merits of faith and God. There's also this weird subplot about this Muslim woman that seems a little out of place but there you go.

The same tears liberals cry for the “poor” (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!
The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named “Small Government” flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.
The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.
