Problem flyboy?

Say it with me:

The Force is Female!

Get these hotheaded triggerhappy flyboys out of there

>It is NOT ok to look at or talk to female co-pilots

Wish she'd loosen my fly, boy.

>3 hours sexual harassment seminar powerpoints for x-wing pilots
this is the most realistic star wars yet

did she have a right to be rude?

He apparently got their ENTIRE bomber fleet destroyed

Ok, where did this come from? I keep seeing it repeated over and over here.

Reminder that Poe did everything right.

-If the Dreadnought was not destroyed at the start, it would have blown the Rebel flagship to smithereens after following the light speed jump.
-Holdo refused to even hint to him she had a plan beyond continuing to cruise out of fuel, so he had good reason to come up with his own solution.
As convoluted as the whole casino-codebreaker shit was, that plan would have actually worked if Finn and Rose were more competent, got the right guy, and did not bring BB-8 wearing a box to the enemy flagship.
-In the finale, the resistance had no choice but to try and use the speeders to fight, they were fucked either way until Luke and Rey showed up. If anything Poe changing his mind and calling everyone to retreat was the potential mistake.

does my hair bother you sweetie?

Let's be real. If she didn't have purple hair you would barely complain about her

...

Don't forget that once Holdo told him she had a plan, he was on board. He only mutinied because her every indication was that she intended to let them run out of fuel and die.

>tfw you work at space hot topic and she wants a refund and doesn’t have a receipt

>Poe, clearly hoping to be tapped to stand in for Leia, immediately criticizes his new superior. “That’s Admiral Holdo?” he asks a fellow resistance fighter while taking in his new boss’s gown, purple hair, and jewelry. “Not what I was expecting,” he almost sneers. That Holdo is kind yet dismissive of Poe only enrages him further. She urges him, for the safety of all concerned, to “stick to your post and follow my orders.” He doesn’t; as a result, many rebels die.

Does anyone have a transcript for their first exchange? Because I seem to recall her being just as dickish, if not more so, than Poe.

wait till you see the - ohhh nonononono
AHHHHAAAHAHAHAHAGHAAAAAA

>let me tell you what you think
>now I can dismiss you teehee

That scarf was a terrible idea. She looks like a giraffe.

Dis Bitch

>compulsory BLACKing for all white female pilots
This scene never made sense in the script

It must be real hard to google shit nowadays.

holy fuck did they steal that from the 3rd matrix movie???

they have to race a ship to use a super weapon to stall the enemy attack its an exact copy of that plot

what is behind the shitty "ohnononononon" meme?

If she had been Admiral Ackbar I would have complained less, but I still would have been pissed.
>inspirational speech is "let's run until we die"
>intentionally lords power over Poe as some sort of weird power play/mind game
>tricks Poe into thinking there's no plan, then "lmao I did have a plan you should have followed orders unquestioningly"
>portrayed as being right even though half the people on the ship die
>introduce the single biggest plothole in the entire Star Wars franchise

All of these are separate from the fact that she's a strong confident womyn who's much wiser than some arrogant flyboy.

She was dickish in that she pointed out he was calling himself his previous rank to try and blow past that he had just been demoted. She was aloof but not mean. She had every right to be upset, her friend Leia is in a coma and the pilot immediately grilling here is responsible for the deaths of dozens of their best fighters and ships (likely half of the resistence's resources have just been lost due to the arrogance and inability to follow orders of the guy in front of her.

...

I don't know the original video but this is the laugh
youtube.com/watch?v=NKGrE-CoFUs

They also ripped off the neo lean-back dodge thing. Rian Johnson is a complete hack

Why didnt she just tell everyone the plan? That's the only think that made her unlikable. Also, don't they have droids that could have piloted the cruiser? Isn't that literally what astromech droids are for?

No.

She didn't even need to do that, just tell them a plan actually exists and they aren't just steaming to an inevitable death.

Where did you get that quote? I hated the movie but that's an interaction that I seem to have forgotten about that gives her more sympathy. But from what I remember when he said "Not what I was expecting", he was saying it to another rebel completely out of earshot from her, so she wouldn't KNOW he was being a dick because he was doing it behind her back.

>ok, can I talk to a man
t. family guy

>underage soyboys don't want to fuck laura dern because muh precious star wars even after star wars has been buttfucked to oblivion by the EU and the prequels and laura dern has gotten more attractive with age

shaking my damn head

...

...

Girl power

Obviously she GREATLY OVERESTIMATED the intelligence of the COMPLETE FUCKING MORONS under her command

>Pilot could have just zoomed out the space map a little, seen a fucking planet that used to be a resistance base along their course and figure everything out
>Would have had to get out his space map to plot a course to evil casino consumist planet anyway

Sorry but Poe and Co are terminally stupid, and deserved a good slapping about the face by her two foot feminine penis.

Why does she even have purple hair?

Why couldn't SW pull off the "badass female space captain" trope, which loads of other sci-fi has managed to do just fine?

>Admiral Keyes from Halo
>Kycilia Zabi from Gundam
>Lotara Sarin from 40k, just about any woman in 40k for that matter
>Admiral Cain in BSG, and Starbuck for that matter
>Cornellia Britannia from Code Geass

Because it's actually grey.

>alright captain what's the plan
>(silence)
>alright captain we're almost out of fuel what's the plan
>(silence)
>alright then I'm relieving you of command
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>silly man the plan all along was to abandon ship
>whoops by not effectively communicating my plan to someone who is a know hot head, the plan is now ruined
???????????????

she's a runaway pleasure clone.

>Wester strong females are insufferable cunts
>Jap strong females are well done and don't push any gender bullshit in your face

Self insert of a cat lady that wrote about the character in EU books

...

Laura Dern is just fine. Admiral Holdo isn't. Silk rags and Tumblr hair is a bad look for anyone, even Dern.

>doesent respond when pointed out transports are useless and atleast their ship has shields
>pulls some sort of "stealth generator" bullshit literally as they undock
>watches as atleast half of their shuttles get destroyed along with their already limited personnel
>rams expensive ship into imperials
>purple hair gets lauded as hero

>meanwhile the first order chases them at a slow pace never hyper jumping in front of them or even sending star destroyes to black their route

isnt there a name for someones whose job is literally to check for this shit?

>Tanya is only a strong female because she literally has the brain and mind of a man
Japan being redpilled as always

Is that.... a WOMAN??? In MY wizards in space fantasy? First of all how fucking dare they give her pink hair, this is SJWism gone mad. And to have her be competent at following somebody else's plan? This is simply unacceptable. Way overpowered for the sake of feminism

>Implications that the fucking spaceship would just stop of it runs out of fuel
That's not how this works dammit!

If you retards keep this up anyone who criticizes the film will be associated with the cringey anti-sjw movement and it'll mass bully people into pretending it was a good film

The leftwing tendency to passive aggressively insult strawmen is just so odiously annoying even those who agree with them for the most part end up repulsed.

this comment is way too tryhard. back to tumblr

She wasn’t competent. She invited mutiny like a moron and they had to eternally fuck the lore for her suicide asspull

It kinda pisses me off that factions in Star Wars have fielded battles like pic related with hundreds or thousands of ships, but the First Order could only spare half a dozen Star Destroyers to take out the last remnants of the Resistance

Anti-SJW rhetoric is already massively normalized and accepted though. It's amusing watching progressives struggle with that fact or even outright deny the reality of it by painting anyone who criticizes their sacred cows as the furthest and most repugnant dregs of the Right.

So TLJ is the exact same plot as ESB

They couldn’t even mass bully an election. Even Reddit hates this film

>56% enjoyed this film
SEETHING

I'll never understand this meme.

A-plot with a young Jedi training with an old master while grappling with the dark side
B-plot with Leah and a fly boy running away from star destroyers
C-plot with a useless black guy that fucks everyone in the end

Yup

i think its wilfully ignoring previous lore hell you dont really say many of the old SD variants like the interdictor

kind of like how the rebel alliance had Y wings with torpedos but the nu-rebel alliance has slow bombers with bombs you have to manually drop out of a bomb bay they pulled out of WW2.

>not taking your glasses off for a photo

underrated

i thought they were meant to be b-wings but they looked kinda weird and moved way too slow

why the fuck would you put literally who tie fighter pilot up with all the best girls?

What is the point of her "gotcha, it was all apart of my elaborate keikaku" anyways? Basically the writers are telling you to blindly follow authority, even if it goes against your instincts, because they know better than you.

Previously the universe used characters like Solo to defy this convention.

>this is the rebellion, we have no place for people who defy convention.

Terrible.

do they ever explain why she has a metal halo?

because women know best and you shouldn't question them or else youre committing rape

The theme seem to be the First Order is the empire but far more powerful somehow despite having far less resources and manpower but the Resistance is far weaker than the Rebellion despite having far more resources and manpower

Oh man that line was so fucking stupid.

i dont normally go for feminist-theory bullshit but this resonated

exactly. It was so refreshing to see Y-wings actually being used for bombing shit in Rogue One. Then we went straight back to both sides only having one or tow ships

> tfw your pasta gets screencapped and reposted

I was actually a gender-studies major before I became redpilled. Once I woke up, the answer to the WQ was as clear as the JQ.

>I have to stay behind and pilot the ship
Can we be done with this fucking trope now?

This would have worked a hell of a lot better if there was a spy in the Rebel force which is why she was with-holding information. They explained the FO being able to track them through hyperspace but that it was super new tech, though if it were a spy that would explain a few chosen actions on the ship. Holdo withholding her plans to dupe the spy is one big hole, and the other places more importance on Rose stopping people from leaving the ship if there was a potential spy on board.

Finally, Finn could have dealt with being suspected as the spy since he was part of the FO in the first place! There was a lot of potential that could have worked in place of what they went with which felt much more nonsensical.

it's just ignoring common sense in favoring having a whole new slate of potential toy designs. there should be a colossal amount of imperial surplus gear on both sides of the conflict

nice post dawg

i dont know why they didnt just use b-wings, they were basically very similar in their intended role and hell could have been used as a nod to the OT but its like someone went "NOPE NOT DRAMATIC ENOUGH"

Typical of this board. Young men these days don't know anything about sacrifice.

Just hyperdrive ram it.

You're doing God's work, user.

its not about killing the things we hate its about hating the fhuitgrnmsv

Uh... You doing okay user?

Was it even Holdos plan? I thought it was Leia's. I don't really know what the point of the character was

No SW isn't Mission:Impossible, they do not need a spy counterspy subplot to make the movie work.

That whole conflict doesn't make sense from a thematic perspective. They're pushing this "don't question authority, authority knows best" retarded theme in a movie centered around a fucking REBELLION.

Don't try to make it work. It's fundamentally broken.

>soyboys don't want to fuck laura dern

Their loss

...

I would watch spy vs spy in SPACE WARS

For all their talk of inclusiveness, they're 100 percent authoritarian insofar how it works. How they run their businesses and groups is exactly how they'll run their government if they got in.

They're not liberal at all for individual freedoms.

I actually said "what" out loud in the theater at that part. Like there was zero trace of irony in the line, they didn't realize how stupid it was when they said it. Amazing.

...

I'm still a bit salty that they scraped the Y-wing completely in the new movies. I hate the clone wars design and always felt that the Y-wing was the equivalent to the P-47 Thunderbolt compared to the X-wing (P-51 Mustang). An older, heavier fighter that was pressed into an attacker role as its fighter role was taken over by a newer fighter.

And the space battles in these new movies are way too intense and deadly for them to be believable. The space battle from ROTJ was pretty intense and close-quarters, but there weren't dozens of rebel fighters being rekt at once, it was more drawn out and deliberate, with a few ships getting picked off one by one. How the fuck are those bomber ships supposed to work if disabling the enemy ships main cannons isn't enough to protect them? They fly close enough that one bomber gets hit in the bomb magazine and suddenly the whole formation gets destroyed.

Why does she look like an SJW going to an upscale dinner party? Shouldn't she be wearing a fucking uniform?

Yes, the large space bomber is stupid.

They should have just used a lot more Y-Wing-type bombers to do a torpedo run on the bridge or something, like how they were going to take out Malevolence.

Because to the feminist, being a "rebel" means you dress yourself up to look "unique" (even though they all do it), and not actually relying on individual merits.

It's a great irony that they don't see.

...

you're free to dye your hair, at the very least
